  1. not with antisqueal, they are properly affixed. I pried one off (very difficult) and it destroyed it.
  2. Guys, just changing the pads on my BF Falcon. The QFM pads I bought don't have a backing plate and the factory PBR backing plates are glued on. Is it OK to put the new pads in with no backing plate?

  6. Guy, after some DBA rotors for my Falcon. Does anyone know a place that offer these at a good price in Melbourne.
  7. Thanks for getting back to me, I got your PM. I ended up finding a car I like at Tokyo so I had to use a different buyer.
  8. yeah, i got my v35 repaired at sheen's too (through just cars) they were the best panel beaters i've ever dealt with. color was spot on and the car was washed and vacuumed.
  9. cash alwasys. but hey, if you need to take a small personal loan why not. just make sure you pay it back as quickly as you can.
  10. thanks chef, Thats how i found him, through this forum and started PMing him. Just haven't heard back from him and was wondering if anyone had used him. I've noticed some of the cars or your website are also on his so I guess he's your buyer, or at least one of yours.
  11. Hi guys, Has anyone imported there car through directimported.com? I emailed Phil to discuss his service and he seemed good. I wanted to proceed with them but there is no info on their website on how pay sign up and pay a deposit. I emailed asking how I pay my deposit, he said he would send me an invoice but never did. Again I sent a request about a car he had in stock, he said he'd find out if it was still available and never got back to me. I guess he's just too busy, has anyone had success with them?
  12. $7000? thats around 540,000yen at the current exchange rate. Thats a little too cheap. I think you need to pay double that for a half decent car. The brokers can correct me if I'm wrong. Don't forget you also need to pay import duty and gst. It would be best to talk to one of the friendly importers that frequent this thread, they'll give you a realistic price.
  13. nah, this was a while back, it was a 40th anniversary R33
  14. I saw the same thing. A car on Japan Auto Direct with 117,000kms on it and then for sale in Melbourne with 80,xxxkms. I won't mention who it was because they are a regular contributor to this section.

  16. yeah i used to use japanese car catalogue and i was going to post that link here but it looks like the auction data hasn't been updated since '08
  17. wow, surely im not the only one with free easy access to all auction sheets. i better keep it on the down low
  18. I second that, I gave a reputable import a budget for a car. I won it and they told me they bought it for just in my budget. I ended up finding out what it really sold for and they had fluffed up the price quite a bit. When confronted about it they told me someone in the office had made a mistake. I never bought a car from them again. So yeah, it would be great if you could see how much cars where selling for.
  19. Yeah I've had 2 evo's before. The reason I wanted an RS is that they're tuffer and I wanted to be a little different. The few I've seen were street trimmed, carpet, air con, brembo but no recaro's on elec windows. I'll have to stick to a GSR I guess or get an ADM Evo 6.
