:laughing-smiley-014: HA HA........don't panic. If what you say was true I'd have to confiscate and impound my own ride under the new hoon laws, then give myself a defect notice, a fine, and 6 demerit points!?
  2. Hi Dan, congrats on an awsome ride, EVO's go pretty hard even without all those mods......you've done well. I was thinking along the same line as you before I bought my slightly modified BNR34 because I was actually thinking of bringing this animal over from Japan but chickened out due to the amount of work (getting it back to standard) that it would have required to get it through the system we have in this country. http://www.carontrack.com/nissan/skyline/012.shtml
  3. Do you know where the cruise is headed yet?
  4. Seriously, why would anyone bother.........the paint alone would have bought him a nice ride!?
  5. Yeh must do something about that........it's been setting off a few alarms lately......a big sorry to the sports Merc parked near the BP at St marys last night.
  6. Thanks Steve, I must need glasses. I'm wondering if Shaun at BW only had a small role in the mods or whether he did the lot......sticker tells me maybe the latter. Shame he hasn't got a 4WD dyno because he's only up the road from me.

Worked for Adelaide Engine Service in Edwardstown for many years until they shut their doors and now I'm the Director for SA Investigations. Just to be different!?

Thanks for your compliments buddy. I finished building the bike earlier this year (every nut and bolt) and have entered it in a few comps already with about 7 trophies for my troubles. I trucked it up to Bike Week on the Gold Coast last month and took home 3 trophies against some of the best bike builders in the country which included the likes of Scottys Choppers and the Discovery Chanel bikes........check out the link. http://heavyduty.com.au/issue_92/hd_core_frameset.htm
  10. I also got hit by an 81 year old lady in a Datsun 1600 on Diagonal Road, Glenelg. Problem was, I was on 2 wheels and ended up in hospital for 2 weeks......ouch!
  11. I saw a cheap 1999 R34 GTR under 40,000kms (not a V-Spec unfortunately) for approx $50K in Brisbane. If they still have it you may get it even cheaper now.........I think it was AutoTerminal. If you have the cash though, I would hang out for a V-Spec.....Rob from Sinergy Motorsports assures they will hold their value much better.
  12. Hi all, here are my Daily Drivers that actually get driven, you may have seen them both down at the Bay.

Thanks Tangles, I'll look out for you.
  14. I wouldn't hold your breath for BNR34's to come down too much in price. Unfortunately Australia has decided to bring the R35 GTR into the country (approx $160,000) which means the average drooler won't be able to afford one of these for anything up to 10 years and therefore keep prices of earlier GTR's up (good news for current owners). If the R35 GTR wasn't going to be released into this country, we may have been able to import them ourselves in a couple of years for under $100K and if that was the case, all earlier GTR's would crash in price. The release of the R35 GTR may actually increase the popularity of the earlier GTR's due to commercials and advertising of the R35 in Australia next year which the earlier models never got in this country and not everybody new what they were. The demand for them will go up as the R35 makes them more popular due to the big divide in price and therefore may have the opposite effect on prices (the ole supply vs demand thingy)...........then again, I could be wrong!!

Thanks Richo. Always open for a swap.......just depends what what you're swapping I suppose.
  16. Try Cory Ogg at Fisher Performance on North East Road (Scottys Corner). He should be able to do the work at a reasonable price, does great custom exhaust systems too. Not sure where to get the shaft from though, he may be able to point you in the right direction. Tell him Peter the P.I. with the grey R34 GTR sent you, he's a good guy.

Hi Cara, I tell you what, you've got a pretty good looking machine yourself so their offspring could look like a baby 2008 R35 GTR. I think if our cars ever met we would have our hands full trying to pry them apart!!!

Hi Glen, you're right it is pretty quick at the moment but I'm a bit of a rev head so it's never quick enough unfortunately.

Price wise your not far off the mark. It has got an oil cooler and HKS piping but a standard intercooler (for now). Motor hasn't been out though, all R34 V-Specs have red covers while the NUR's have silver ones. It's also got TEIN suspension so its a bit of a hard ride even on the softest setting. KAKIMOTO dual exhaust from CAT back, but the front half will get a change too pretty soon.

yeh I reckon I have been through there a couple of times. Give us a wave next time you see me. I sometimes ride a full custom black and silver bike through that area, the 'SLED'.

It was from a mob called Unique Cars on Paramatta Road. Thanks for the tip about Shaun.
  22. Hi everyone, I've also just joined this site and wanted to say hi. I flew to Sydney a couple of weeks ago and picked up my new toy (R34 GT-R V-Spec) from a dealer then drove it back to Adelaide. I've purchased a whole bunch of bolt on bits in the meantime (Garrett Turbos, fuel upgrade bits, bigger intercooler, Power FC etc) that I'll be fitting once I get it through inspection. I'll probably do most of the work myself but I need a good tuner for the Power FC so I'd love to hear everybodys thoughts. Here are some pics of the car at the dealership before I picked it up. If you see a grey R34 GT-R with yellow NSW plates while your on the road, come and introduce yourself so I can put faces to the names on this site. Cheers Pete
  23. Hi Nick and all you guys and girls out there I'm new to this site and this is my very first post. That was my R34 GT-R 'V Spec' that you saw near Pasadena. I flew to Sydney a couple of weeks ago and bought it then drove it back. Tein suspension so I felt every stone I drove over but what a head rush whenever I had to overtake someone on those big freeways. You'll probably see it around alot more now with the NSW plates until I can get it through inspection. Cheers Pete
