I hear ya Deluxe and I agree that a commy with clear leds looks like a can of rice cream. But red leds on a 34 looks like it was meant to be. I think you'll find they've gone with the red leds on the 35!?

Not bad at all for a water cooled.......would be a great cruiser on a long run.

I too have bought stockys from interstate before and only had to worry about a VIN and Engine No check at either Sturt (on Wed & Thur) or Regency. My 34 came from NSW a few weeks ago so I have to go through the same process again. I know the 3 things that grab their attention are tinted windows, loud exhaust, and lowered cars. Any info about how they treat HKS pods........not sure if I need to hunt down a stock air box or risk going over the pit when they see the pods. Also does anyone know how and where they measure height because the NISMO front bar on my 34 is pretty close to the ground.

Yeh Carl, ur pretty much on the money there. The bike was designed to be a show bike and a weekend cruiser so it's not goin to do a 1/4 mile in 10 seconds......having said that, it's torque that gets you across the lights and this metal monster has plenty of that.....it'll tear up bitumen with that big rear! And ur right, that seat height is low......about 6 or 7 inches lower than the lowest Harley including the FXDL Dyna Low Rider.

Haven't had either very long yet so I'm not sure. I've never really hammered either of them yet apart from a few short bursts here or there. Bike's got a 100ci (approx 1630cc) engine. Unlike the high revving Jap bikes, its more of a torque monster and alot heavier than them.

Yeh unfortunately for you and me and everyone else out there, cops are exempt under the road traffic act in case of emergencies, so what that means is he can speed if he has a reasonable reason. So when his pizza is ready for pickup at Dominos and he doesn't want it to get cold, he can speed!? I had a marked car with a couple of young rookies follow my bike a couple of weeks ago along Goodwood Road from Wayville to Panorama but they didn't pull me over. I think they were scratching their heads and wondering if a 300 tyre on a bike is legal. Trying to keep the thing quiet was another story.

Yeh I agree Cara, I think clears look OK on some rides but not the 34's, otherwise they looked like tacked on after thoughts whereas yours look like they're meant to be there. I've actually thought about some red leds for my 34 but haven't really found any cheap enough yet...........did you have a good contact with your set?

Don't do it......I used to have a GSXR years ago and almost killed myself when an 81 year old female in her Datsun 1600 wiped me out.......too much power for 2 wheels anyway. If I hit a car with my current 2 wheel steel horse, it'll just push the car out of the way, unlike the lightweight GSXR.

OK, here's my 2 bobs worth; White R33 @ 11.00am heading north on Goodwood Road, corner of Greenhill Road (driver had goatee beard). Silver R33 @ 1.35pm heading north on Marion Road, Mitchell Park. Grey R32 with white bonnet @ 2.25pm heading north on South Road, Hackham. Silver R33 with bling intercooler @ 2.45pm heading west on Ayliffes Road, Pasadena.

Yeh I'd really love to catch up with you guys at some stage and check out all the cool rides but I'm not sure about other commitments at the moment. Does anyone know where the Friday night cruise will end up and at what time? Probably should be asking on the other thread........

Hi Reuben Ive had a million rides in the past which included a Prado 4WD, Datsun 260Z 2+2, 1999 REX, 5.7 litre Berlina, 5 litre (EX Cop) Commodore and the list goes on.....not to mention the 2 wheel variety. And yes, ever since a lined up an R33 GTR with my 5.7 litre (and got the paint blown clean off my car) I've always wanted one.

Thanks for the compliments Carl. My main focus in corporate fraud and insurance investigation. It's got its good points but can also be pretty boring sometimes...just like most jobs I suppose.
