  1. This is an obvious benefit: http://speedhunters.com/archive/2012/02/15/gallery-gt-gt-a-quick-taste-of-japanese-drift-life.aspx First photo is obvious win, three wheeling at Nikko...... but there is more.
  2. Yeah probably, but I would have to wash it, maybe even polish it, find a spot and use something other than my phone........ And then I would see all the blemishes etc, like seeing a stripper in coles... I'm a lazy opportunnistic photographer, walked back from Little Creatures on Friday and seemd like a good idea. Also this is not a comment.....
  3. Just like a cheap hooker, yellow phosphor lighting hides all.
  4. Gave up and ordered a set from the US... as usual australian markups suck. Thanks
  5. Regarding the R34 4 piston caliper squeal plates/pad shims. I found a part number through searching a bit further (silvia.com i think had a thread) and rang Nissan Rockingham. So the part number I got was 41080 - 21U25. The price was something like $180, to be honest I tuned out once the kid said one hund.... The guy on the phone couldn't explain adequately what the kit contained so I may have been getting more than i asked. Dont know if it would be worth trying other nissan dealers. Anyone have any confirmation on the part number above and whether the price is legit? Also this was found in the thread.. Frontbrakes.pdf
  6. Thanks heaps for that^ Its the search criteria that was getting me, I was trying things like "squeal+plate" etc with no result. "Brake shim kit" wins. I have not a single item installed in that picture. Never mind. If my wrecker trawl fails I will just get a set in from the US like shown. Thanks again. As for My bendix box for the R34 pads said they matched 300zx, r32 gtr, r33gtst. and wrxs etc. The original pads off my S2 RS4s calipers were heaps different compared to the 4 pot ones.
  7. Buggered if i can find anything on the net, regarding anti-squeal plates. May have to do a J-wrecker trawl. I'll try and find some rears while i am there....
  8. Blue ?LM? R33 GTR in kwinana beach this morning, Nice.
  9. Fitted R34 GTT calipers and rotors to my S2 C34 this weekend with mixed results. Bolted in easy enough, used original caliper bolts, removed flare nut stopped thing and everything went in easy. Problems, new Allied Nippon pads that came with were super squeally. Any light application sounded like I was in a kindergarten right next to the mega slide at lunch break. So bought some Bendixs, still squealing but no where near as bad. I think I may be missing squealer pads between pistons and pads. This is what I got before bolt up. Next question is where the heck would i get replacements? Also anyone know if there is a diff between C34 and R34 masters?
  10. I see, retarded weird castor rod bush thingo, or piano... Also installed R34 GTT front brakes this arvo, relatively easy bolt in job. Took 10mm out of the front height while i was there, which i have been meaning to do for 3 months. The dealer had to wind it up to get it on to the truck. Now to do the rears as well?? I am going to have to get different pads, the brand new allied nippon brand ones i got with calipers are the squealiest little bitches of pads.
  11. Anyone, may part out, thought this would've gone by now...
  12. Pics or didnt happen. Which type did you get and front or back?
  13. Thanks importzone. I get that to adjust spring height I undo the lockring and move the bottom of the spring up & down relative to the shock body. When I mentioned platform adjust above I meant these also have an threaded bottom mount so I can move the bottom suspension mount relative to the shock body also, so I can adjust ride height without adjusting spring preload/position.. There should be a method though to get the preload on the spring to a rule of thumb point to give the shock the best chance to control the lot.
  14. Thought I would get some help working out which model of coilover I have in my C34 and future setup. I assume they are Cuscos as they are blue but every catalogue I have found has every model even the low specs with damper adjust. Basically they have platform and spring perch adjust, the tops do not have any adjustment knobs and being platform the bodies dont either. Fronts look like this. The rears have a helper spring but I dont have a good photo. I also got blue strut brace brackets in the boot, without the bar across the boot, they make good tie down points without the impracticality when seats are folded down... Anyone got any idea on a model/series??? They are old and dirty so must've been fitted in J as it was only complied last year. Next point though is slightly more important. Anyone got any proper methods to setting up preload seeing as I cant adjust damping. Problem is my front end feels too stiff. I have good turn in but mid corner bumps make the car skip to understeer. Rear seems fine, squats and goes on exit. Back in my downhill mtb days, the first step was to get spring rate and preload right for 30% sag when you sat on the bike. Then adjust rebound and compression until it feels good and doesnt bounce you into the scrub, Is there a similiar method for cars. I figure if i back the spring perch off 10mm, and then bring the platform down 10mm on the front it should soften preload whilst not lowering my car, but I am only guessing. Thanks
  15. Nice one for the the feature... also keen to get more info on Ash's stag after reading PI.. Also, any weekend with enough notice.
  16. So my C34 S2 needs pads soon. Anyone care to give feedback on whether the R34 Gt-t conversion is worth it, time and effort sourcing parts versus upgraded feel/stopping power. I figure once i sort some calipers, lines, new rotors, pads and a seal rebuld kit I will be somewhere between 5 and 9 hundred. Pads for the standard stag calipers will probably be like 80 to 140 so is it really worth it. I also plan to do this myself, my car is my daily so it needs to happen all in one weekend. Thanks.
  17. So ronery..... Was a good solo drive through kalamunda to the hotel, waited in the carpark for a bit, bailed and saw a white c34 with grey/black front end on the way to mundaring. Did U turn back to the hotel to say hello but no one was there so went to freo for lunch... Next time.
  18. Leaving for mundaring anyway...
  19. Looks sweet. Can I ask, are your guards rolled, do they scrub at that height? Looking at (when i sell my Pupra anyway)19x9.5s at around +15-+20 but that offset looks pretty spont on.... I assume you have a manual too. Also Sika'd my side skirt brackets properly today....
  20. Hard, too much involved, someone even wrote a thread on why not to convert....
  21. Hey, looks like a good day out, I got called in to work so couldnt make it. Ended up spending an 8 hour day fault finding machinery that works faultlessly 90% of the time.... Who's yellow S2 with 350z rims did I see on Orrong rd this morning? Keen for the next run to the hills.... damn now I have maiden in my head. PS: Thanks for the invite on my windscreen at ADGP chuckie....
  22. Temporarily fixed rattling side skirt brackets, seems grey tape isn't enough though. Hate the idea of tek screwing my sills. Slackarse bodykit fitter, not attaching them properly (was on it when I bought it). The brackets don't line up with the inserts already fitted to my sills. Sika may have to be employed........
  23. Like the blue split line on the body line, nice way to break up the colour swap and a good colour contrast. Looks sweet.
  24. I am keen for a meet up somewhere southside (I live in Baldivis) and cruise to Wannaroo on the saturday. Good to put some names to faces. Do want info on towbars also... Will PM Later.
