  1. Selling my Wife's 2005 Maxima Ti-L as we have bought a 4wd. Might suit someone as a deluxe daily. The Max has been a great car for us for the last four years with many high end luxury features such as: - Awesome VQ35, still surprises me and averages 9.7-10L / 100km for us. - Auto (not a CVT) - Cruise Control - Climate Control - Unmarked Black Leather Interior (the black carbon on the dash bits is just vinyl as we didn't like the orange faux woodgrain) - Serviced Regularly - Proximity Key, as long as its in your pocket/handbag you can unlock and start it up. - Alloy Wheels - Roof Mounted DVD Player for the back seat with two wireless headphones - Reversing Sensors - New Battery - Electric Sunroof. - 155 ish kays - Debadged the boot, because I dont like clutter, still have the badges. I have it on gumtree for $9900 but open to reasonable offers. Shoot me a PM or 0403 555 339 Pics:

  3. S2 Manual. JJR Dump & CAT Dodgy 3" J spec steel cat back with big mid muffler and HKS mega can (5" tip with a silencer thing that has never been shoved in). Its quiet at idle but doesnt really have an RB burble. I would like to maybe change the mid muffler to get a meatier sound but it's welded in. I dont want it louder just sound better. If you think your car is droney, try driving with the boot a little open. I picked up a door for the house that was too long, it was the loudest trip home with everything being reverberated straight forward into the cabin.
  4. Thanks. They are 19x.9.5 +12 with 245/(uncertain on the profile, I think they were 30) if anyone was interested.
  5. Dont want to start a stretch vs no stretch debate, I agree with all points (except maybe the homophobic bit), but 245s are as big as I need and aren't super stretched. This size was even on the tyre's data sheet to match my rim size. 265s would be great but then I would rub guards and my car would not gain any everyday useable grip with only basic suspension and brake mods. I could've spent the same money on a cheaper tyre type that were wider and have less grip in the end. In the end nothing would've saved a 19" rim from the angle I glanced the kurb on.
  6. On a similiar note to the reverse incident above, kurbed my rim. Had them a year and haven't touched a thing.... Rushing in pulling into traffic with a crying bubba in the back gets you this: No dent, just a rub. Filled the gash up with permanent marker as per importers recommendations... glad I didnt powder coat them dark grey now.
  7. keen, I especially like the air inlet guide scoop thing idea.
  8. Wish this thread was up before buying my Stagea from said importer.... So many sad faces when I did the timing belt at a theoretical 98k recently.
  9. New windscreen fitted after multiple chips in field of vision. Annoyingly I mainly dropped it off to get the front windows tinted, after I got in trouble for too many darknesses was added last time. I only avoided a yellow sticker through smooth talking and bold faced lies with the 16% it had on. I took it back to the same place that talked me in to going dark to match the rears and told the lady up front i wanted legal tint and a new windscreen... The guy out the back then took it upon himself to try and match the rear windows again. Had to sit and wait while they peeled it off again and my arm is still getting sunburnt as they didnt have time to put what i wanted on.... At least the windscreen has been done.
  10. Was selling my Toyota Pupra, it was a shitter, for 2500. It was pretty low, I told the dude to go carefully down the curb as the exh scraped a little if you went on the wrong angle. He dumped the clutch on the top of the drive and bottomed both ends of the floor pan out and I hit my head on the roof and could only laugh. He proceeded to try to max the speedo out on the straightest country roads near my house when I said no more. He asked if he could fang, I said I didnt care it was his license but I dont shit where I eat.. I have distinctive cars in a small area, only takes one Mrs Crabtree to get my name in the watch lists. Good thing he bought it. Drove it away unlicensed with some plates he 'aquired'.
  11. I should clarify: Giant basket roofracks with wind deflectors on stupid low cars with a "style" addition bolted in such as a snow board or colour matched BMX. Reminds me of dudes in skinny jeans wearing thick rimmed glasses without lenses.
  12. I have never really understood the roof rack with a cheap pretender bmx or hipster single speed on it mod... Just sayin. If you ride, use it to move your bike. Can you snowboard in Newcastle? Do you surf? Do oyu own a lawn mowing business? If you dont use what you put on the roof rack its just a new form of hipstering.... Your car looks good, dont make it undriveable and defected just for demon camber.. It looks cool in J but they do a lot more regarding spring rates etc than just lengthen/shorten control arms. I dont mean to be negative but a car is no good to anyone no matter how good it looks if you cant drive it because they cancel your rego... Ill probably just motivate you to do it more //End old man rant
  13. Made a resilient mount for my bc solenoid valve. Tried a foam backing first, still could hear the hammering resonating through my bracket. Silent now.... Also painted my master cylinder stopper Nissan under bonnet white (aka rustkill rattle can satin white). I want the engine bay to look like everything was there from the beginning. I grabbed a GKtech r33 spec one that someone mentioned was in a clearance sale....
  14. Mine dont have xenon written on the lenses but they do the flash to slow warmup thing and my fuse/relay box has HID labels...
  15. Mine weren't removed. I havent looked for a ballast, but they may be in the back of the light housing?
  16. Yeah its an r33 jjr. Iit fit 'ok', had to bash the metal inwards near the middle bolt down on the head side so you could get a socket on the bolt, and rejig the hanger at the gearbox xmember a little but apart from that, yeah...
  17. I cant tell if thats worse than mine, checked the gasket against the opening and there wasnt more than a mm smaller.
  18. I dont blame you on the cv boot. Anything involving packing grease or chance of spilling more fluid than a normal oil change is banned from being done in my garage. After accidently dropping a full cressida auto trans off my bench after swapping out the dud, cleaning the mess with that gave me the CBFs with anything messier.
  19. Installed an Apexi AVC-r on the weekend, anyone had any experience in setting up the speed/gears business, the manual doesnt really explain what the numbers mean. Hardest part was hiding everything under the bonnet, I need to make a better bracket for the solenoid valve as hanging it off one airbox mount is a bit average. Should compliment the dump and cat installed a month or so back.
  20. Your android tablet gauge pod is awesome. Clean, no clutter, no tackyness... just smooth... C34s wouldnt have a compliant OBD for that kind of multimonitor thingswoud they? I had a look at a few ebay head up displays but wasnt certain if it would work and be configurable enough to give me: A) RPM graph B) dig speed C) dig boost Thats it, no other shit on my windscreen. dig water temp would be nice.
  21. I fitted one up recently (SS R33 type), I found the top flange ok, but the bottom one was about 10mm inboard towards the trans and 5-10 mm shorter lengthways. I had to rejig the hanger/mount near the trans crossmember with an S bend and some notched holes.... The flange was really close to the trans Xmember. Pulled my rear muffler just under my bumper, was pretty bummed but couldnt be arsed with sending back accross the other side of the country to get the exact same piece. My car has 80% more sad kitten sounds though.
  22. Looks like a lot of fun just mucking around on the track. Always ends up on my wife's birthday weekend. 3 rotor sounds sweet, but whats flapping around, it sounded like you had a flat when you backed off. Many other stags than Dan's?
  23. Just fitted a JJR Dump and cat over the last few days. My car has a 3" cat back of some type, HKS rear cannon so probably HKS. Made it a noticably more pokey in the low to mid range. Didnt make my car any louder or throatier.
  24. I got the front set from the for sale section here after posting a wanted to buy. I stumbled on the rear set on gumtree from a dude wrecking a bent 34 sedan (hubs, hand brake cables and all). I paid something around $400 an end, I missed out on the shim plates on the front set and that was a pain as they squealed constantly without them. Needed new pads on both but the discs are still second hand and fine.
