stereotypes come about due to the masses of the targeted group being in such a manner as to leave a lasting impression on the public/peers. Hence p platers are hoons/bad drivers, due to most being inexperianced in shoddy cars and trying to drive beyond their abilities. old people are percieved as being doddering old fools who drive slow complain about everything and are mortal enemies of the youth. Mainly because the majority or atleast the most vocal do these above things. same with p platers and skylines, they rice them up, they cant afford a gt-r but a badge/front bar is a fraction of the cost etc. Hence the stereotype

most dont paint them for the look factor of "wow i have carbon fibre" true carbon fibre is also stronger than metal and more flexable to a degree. Legality behind it is because of cheap shoddy 1's they have a tendancy to shatter on impact rather than flex

nice caps. My mate can do me a proper custom carbon fibre bonnet for around $1500

hence permits, then u argue it, get a sticker go to pits, pass, complain to whoever ti is(catn remember) and they get a black spot and a reprimand. end of day, pits told me cops are idiots for even wasting time on those gauges

that would be fine, just get a permit from the pits. we have same setup in our subaru and we have permits for them. I also have permits for my gauges in the old ute *shrugs*

pfft whys that inasnt? they are fairly even cars in performance and vettes(esp c5) have good overall handeling etc. and the superior torque would probably help around tight roads etc i think it'd be fairly even

actually u'd be suprised how much they do know. I've seen cops in action at scarborough and most times what they sticker for they are well within their rights to. Its up to the car owner to get permits for modifications on a vehicle. Face it most owners dont "know" what is legal or not they only think they do. If they did know then they would realise pod filters arent legal unless in an enclosed space or fitted correctly and then issued a permit for by pits. my 2c on it.
