i dont know pricing, but i can tell you more or less how they work intercoolers work by atmospheric temperature air leaching heat off the compressed air its to do with physics etc keeping it simple though, the air rushing through the intercooler cools down the charge. water to air intercoolers have a section of piping surrounded by a water jacket that does the same basic job as a standard intercooler except that water is a much more effecting substance at removing heat from the air one problem you can get though, is heat sink, in which case everything messes itself.

you could try getting some WD and going nuts on the door hinges as well as the strikers...

...theres nothing wrong about putting your foot to the floor, apart from the excessive speed. also if you bounce it off the limiter too long, your valves might not like it and from your other thread, leave overdrive off when towing. which i doubt youll be doing in a skyline. i dont see any way that it could be harmful for the gearbox. preference i suppose

best bet would be the wreckers i think if you pull the door trim off again, and get someone to hold the window up, you can cable tie the part that holds the glass to part of the door itself to hold it up... dealership mechanics in action.

what sort of head gasket have you got in? if none of these others are correct, the head gasket could be letting coolant bleed into the cylinders, with the engine then tries to combust... badly. this might also account for the level dropping without any leaks on the outside.
