  1. As mentioned after installing the PFC the fuel pump only primes for a brief moment when you turn the key to ON and it sounds more quiet, previously it primed for a much longer period and it was louder too, is this normal for a PFC? The fuel pump is a Bosch 944 and was always in the car.
  2. Could it be Precision? GCG? anyone? Any comments on the comp wheel?
  3. What did u use for an intake pipe though bearing in mind i need to keep the bov return and catch can return metal pipe?
  4. Hi can anyone shed any light on this hiflow turbo it has a vg30 0P6 exh housing and the wheels have been replaced with larger steel items, have no idea who did the hiflow but i thought someone might recognize the work and be able to tell me, it's apparently bush bearing, thought it was strange it has 8 blades on the comp wheel? or is that normal?
  5. OK i see thanks, that's not what i wanted to hear really, might have to reconsider the hiflow option again.
  6. I was looking at one of these, u had trouble keeping the boost below 20psi originally, did u fix the problem, was it to do with the .71 a/r?
  7. SK do they use the vg30 exh housing on this hiflow? Are they rebuilding your stock turbo's core and replacing the wheels or do they use a garrett core and wheels already assembled? Do they include all gaskets etc...?
  8. Some more info would be nice like, who did the hiflow for you? Did you have a vg30 exh housing? What sort of power was it making?
  9. Does the 3071 internal wastegate come with an actuator? Can you post the spec's of this turbo please, a\r's and wheel trims?
  10. There's already a group buy started for a 3071R at $1500 sure it needs oil lines and your dump modified to fit but that would still fall well short of $2500, can you do any better if we do get 10 orders?
  11. I spoke with HP/box and there version of the 3071 has a .50a/r comp 56t wheel but the exh a/r was a.73 which they custom build and he couldn't even remember the exh wheel size/trim which leads me to believe it's the cropped one, but overall it seems like a good turbo, bolts to the stock dump and manifold with a 10mm spacer, oil/water lines need making.
  12. I'm interested in the 3071 too but would like to know the exact specs of this turbo, wheel trims/housing A/R's etc...... also do we have any options on the specs? That comp cover doesn't look like it bolts up to the RB25 intake, i believe they make one that does, or not?
  13. Any reply as to whether they have any RB25 PFC's? What's involved in running the RB26 unit on a 25?
  14. Currently looking to upgrade the turbo on the R33, as I already have the SAFC I was wondering if only tuning fuel and not timing would be a major issue with the new turbo? The far off goal is really only 250rwkw eventially with a PFC, but for know the budget will only allow the turbo, I already have a pump, FMIC etc... so I'm aiming for maybe 230rwkw for now, could it be done with the stock AFM and injectors or otherwise I could stretch the budget and get the Z32 AFM and I was thinking S15 injectors would be a cheaper option. So yeah opinions are welcomed but feedback from people who have been there and done that would be appreciated too, thanks.
  15. Yep ok thanks BOOSTD that makes more sense now, a few more q's, regarding the comp cover it's only the inside of the entry that's enlarged then, (to what mm?) is there anything else internally that only a turbo shop would know how to do or is it easy enough for any engineer shop to handle? Same thing with the VG30 exh housing if the snout needs to be 52mm (I assume the snout is the part where you can see the exh wheel through that opening) then the same engineering shop would be able to enlarge just that opening, nothing internally there needs to be modified either? Is the T04B comp wheel a direct fit on the stock RB25 turbo's shaft or does that need to be modified? Reason I ask if the engineer shop can do the machine work is I'd imagine a hi-perf turbo shop would want to talk me out of building this turbo as they'd make more money if they sold me a hi-flow unit they produced, so the only way around it would be to take the parts to a turbo shop that mainly does repair/rebuild work and get them to balance and assemble it, what do you think? Boostd do you have a preference as to which option you liked best, the 51mm or 52.2mm exh housing?
  16. Hey boostd, with the 2 options above you mentioned to keep the snout at 51mm you have to groove the inlet same as RB25, I thought this turbo already was using the RB25 comp housing so therefore the groove is already there? Or do you mean something else by inlet? Also you mentioned something about a T04S wheel, does that comp wheel fit in the stock RB25 comp housing with no mods whereas the T04B wheel needs mods to the housing, is this correct?
  17. If anyone can help me out with a front bar or where I can find one it would be appreciated, thanks. contact no. 0406 431 410 frank
  18. Can anyone give me a contact of where I can get a changeover rack or even to just reco my steering rack? Is it worth buying a used one or is it likely to leak like mine does eventually? Include ph no's and prices of what you guys have paid, thanks.
  19. Would they be willing to give the SAFC a quick tweak, should it require it? Wasn't the next dyno day suppose to be at ICE?
  20. Thanks for the reply guys, I've got a Turbo33 at the moment but am in the process of selling the wifes VTSS(supercharged V6), I wanted to get her a WRX but she doesn't like them, she'd prefer a Skyline so I thought to go NA as it will save us on insurance, fuel and hopefully the initial purchase cost, plus I think they would go quite well as my GTS-T still accelerates nicely even when not in boost.
  21. Can you get away with normal unleaded or what about 95ron fuel? Or is the 98ron a must?
