    +1 Greddy profec!!
  4. When I realised what engine it had, I spewed a little bit. Then some more. This is what happens when cousins are allowed to wed.
  5. They're starting to use lasers as the igniters in rocket engines already. Laser pulse detonation rocket system. wonder how much it would cost to change a set of lasers. 'Sorry honey I had to re-mortgage the house again, 100k service time'

    Quick Question

I'd advise against a bleed valve. They are a cheap nasty way of upping boost. You get what you pay for and electronic boost controllers are a better (though dearer) option. Yuo set the boost you want and it holds it for you, no fiddling around, no creeping, no spiking. Spend the money and save an engine later...
  7. before you do any of that stuff check all your cooler pipes for splits and loose clamps. mate had same symptoms, above 4000 shudder no power etc, was a cooler pipe clamp coming loose. When it hit boost it'd pop open, shudder etc, then when you back off it closes again. simple stuff before you mess with the sensors and other assorted expensive bits
  8. Thanks for the advice man. I've just had the timing belt done and the water pump. I think I'll take it into the workshop next week to let Trent have a look before I start tearing it apart. When I fix something it ends up taking six months, like the pivot bolt. Not much fun taking a GT-R gearbox out with hand tools and jackstands, I gotta say....
  9. The other day I started up the GT-R and after a minute or two it starts making a noise like a loose belt, like that horrid squealing noise. I open the bonnet to check and belts are all tensioned up fine, and the noise is coming from the top of the engine at the back. Right where the rear of the camshaft is. After a couple of minutes it goes away, but the engine is now noisier, not the exhaust but the engine itself, though not clunking or squealing. Its hard to explain how it sounds, but it doesnt sound right and its louder. I drove it around the block and it feels like it doesnt want to rev as hard. Once round the block and I parked it. Do you think I might have a dead bearing on the cam? I've got to take the rocker cover off to change the gasket anyway (slight leak) so I thought while its off I'd check the bearings to see if any are dead. Sorry to be so vague but I wanted a more learned opinion than my own before I shell out cash to fix something I can probably do myself, or destroy my engine. Thanks guys
  10. Have you jet washed your engine with the cover removed? did it fark it up? If it hasn't you should be fine because less water would get in through the vents than a jet wash, and at lower pressure I have a carbon vented bonnet and I've never had a problem with water in the bay. That said i do have a cover on the coils, but I jet wash it and theres no problems. +1 put the cover back on
  11. I doubt it matters much for your ride buddy, you need the car running to hear it. Fix your damn GT-R already so we can show cameron why buying a fake evo is a mistake.
  12. I think I've seen this at stafford where i live. It was at Phantom motors getting work done when we bought the supra for my girl. He's also waved at me when we pass on maundrel tce. Also seen it on the long bridge out to redcliffe. Call Phantom motors im sure they have contact details for him if hes a customer or a mate.
  13. I hate it people who do burnouts on their ride on mowers at maccas while they are f**king hungover
  14. 1. Too loud (you'll wake up the neighbours) 2. Too low (what cant we go drive through?) 3. OS Giken twin plate jingle (people think theres something wrong with it, stop doing it) 4. always spending money on it (how much and how long will it take?) 5. Too fast (ow my neck, tell me before you boot it) 6. Too stiff (these roads are crap, dodge those potholes better) 7. I ask her for help sometimes (Why cant you do this alone, its cramped and dirty under here) On the upside I get the following too 1. Beat that commodore he thinks hes fast 2. Gee your car looks hot when you wash it 3. I wish I could drive it (P plater laws) 4. My friends all want a ride in it (not that sorta ride)
  15. Wouldnt you be pissed off if you were driving the R35? mount panorama, supercar and 60km/h limit...
  16. mate has a pintara TRX with the ka24E. lump of shite motor, and id say the twin cam version would be only slightly better. In japan the released the same car with 4wd and SR20det power.... think about it
  17. Yay another dumbass writes off another skyline and walks away to do it again. Should be restricted to daihatsu charades for 5 years, it'll teach him to drive beyond his limits. Bet Blighs rubbing her hands together, ready to sting us all with new laws....
  18. Last night went to deception bay to pick up my girl and saw a R33 4 door, white with dark rims. had a chat to the guy and when he gave it a bit it went like a dog with dencorub on its balls. Awesome sleeper
  19. Drunken morons deserve to hang by the neck until almost dead then thrown through a wood chipper set on gooify
  20. Damn you all having a cruise on my birthday when my GT-R will be fixed and I have to go to NSW for my brothers wedding on that weekend. Damn you all.....
  21. Bought my GT-R, 40 mins later my rear diff is fcked. The car yard agrees to fix it no problems, but its friday afternoon before christmas so no parts available. Got it back 2 weeks later. For some reason the car makes a strange jingling sound while driving but it stops when I put the brakes on. Some douchebag in japan has replaced the rotor and put the wrong ones on so it doesnt fit and MOVES AROUND. I go out and buy some DBA rotors, no problems until the tyres start going flat overnight. found the valves on 2 tyres were fcked and because theyre nismo LMGT3's its hard to find a valve that fits. also found a third rim was buckled on the inside lip causing a slow leak. fixed all this, then crashed it. 4 months and several thousand $ later its going again, and wtf, theres coolant all over my driveway. New water pump gets put in and while in there it needs a timing belt. Then I'm thinking nothing else can go wrong and while tootling along in traffic, BANG, no clutch. Snapped the pivot bolt. After pulling out the box in the shed we go to remove the bolt and instead the thread puller digs in hard, cracking the casing. Now I've organised replacement parts, should arrive this week (thanks GTRBOS). Thats my bad luck so far. Fingers crossed its over and I can enjoy it now.....
  22. Interested in buying a stuffed box for some parts. cost to freight to brisbane?
