  1. 4:30 starts are for Saturdays. For Wednesday the gates open at 5 and racing starts at 5:30..
  2. I'm probably going to head out and see what my GTR can do. Anyone else going out?
  3. The whole aim of the Tomei restrictors is to reduce oil pressure in the head as it retains too much oil, opening it up would defeat the purpose of putting the restrictor in. I suggest you yourself do a search on oil control.
  4. You wont make boost when you're missing an exhaust wheel on one of the turbos. The good turbo just blows the air back out the blown one since there is nothing making the compressor on the stuffed turbo spin.
  5. Unbolt your cat converter and check to see if you've got the exhaust wheel sitting there. Thats the easiest way to check if your turbo has let go in the usual way for the gtr.
  6. If you're already changing the cams then get some adjustable pulleys. Here is a Quote from SK from rev210s old post that i found. Have a read He was talking about poncams there but it should still apply to the hks cams.
  7. I should be out there for the first time in my GTR. It's gun grey with silver doors, you can't miss it ( I really need to get them painted )
  8. Q45 has a 3.538:1 R200V if thats any good to you..
  9. http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,20882570-421,00.html Just saw that, possibly related. Says they confiscated 7 cars with combined value over $500k...
  10. If you do get one then make sure you still have some money set aside as things will likely go wrong. This week on the way to department of transport to get my 32gtr registered the exhaust wheel on the rear turbo decided it didnt like where it was and made the cat converter it's new home. Luckily the motor still seems alright since i wasn't really giving it any at the time..
  11. I thought your cressida was going to be a 10x better car than any Infiniti...? They are a pretty nice car, well built with a good engine. With around 300-310hp and ~450nm torque standard they go alright for a big car. It should be a pretty good ride if it has standard or active(pretty much hydraulics) suspension. Mine has coilovers in it and the ride isnt the best but the car handles suprisingly well. IMHO they are a better built car with a better motor then the celsior/ls400 but unfortunately those looked better though, so not as many early Q45s sold. They sold here between 93-97 for ~$140,000.. Another note, Infiniti is spelt with an 'I' not a 'Y'
  12. First up, why the hell would you put a toymotor into a Nissan? Why not a rb25 or even rb26? I think you're forgetting that the car weighs near 2 tonne, so a 2.5L isnt going to be the best idea. Having said that there is a guy in the US putting an rb25 into a q45, but he's going to be using it for drifting. Do you own a Q45? Why dont you want to keep the VH45? Nizpro are getting ~1200hp out of them in their speedboat... Not strong enough for you huh? The early VH45s produced around ~230kw and ~450nm torque standard. They're a very under rated motor.
  13. The part number is 22680-61U00. Thats for a '89 vh45.
  14. Fuel consumption isnt too bad, i get around 450-500ks off around 70L(tank is 85L) with mostly city driving. It loves the highways though, at 120 it sits around 2500rpm and you get pretty good economy. Havent had it on the dyno.
  15. Item: 1989 Nissan Infiniti Q45 Location: Brisbane Price and Payment Conditions: $18,000 Extra Info: The Infiniti Q45 is the top of the line Nissan vehicle. They came stock with the VH45DE, an all aluminum powerplant, 4.5 liters, rated at 278hp/296ft/lbs of torque. This is also one of the first cars to use VVT, when they rated the VH45DE in 1989 they rated the engine WITHOUT VVT. To avoid the tax they rated it without VVT installed thus, the engine produces closer to 310hp(~230kw) and 330ft/lbs(~450nm) of torque. Pretty much everything on this car is electric - power seats, windows, mirrors, steering wheel, sun roof. Has climate control, with controls in the rear, rear air purifier, full leather interior. Very comfy car to drive/ride in, with plenty of power too. 1989 Infiniti Q45 VH45DE – 4.5L Quad cam V8 Automatic Black 66,000kms Full 8 piece Junction Produce body kit 18" Work VS Rims Height Adjustable JIC Magic coilovers Twin 2 1/4" catback exhaust Contact Details: PM or Email to [email protected] (its a zero) No time wasters or tyre kickers More pictures available on request. 16. Here's a thread on NICO with a few pics and a bit of info about his Q45. Supercharged Q45 At 7psi on his current setup he was getting around 450crank hp and thats unintercooled! Hope to see some big power out of yours!
  17. Good to see its all coming along. It'll be a weapon once its all done. Where did you get the tranny done up? How is it with the auto on the track and everything? Have you talked to the guy over in WA with the supercharged Q45? Here's another pic his engine bay:
  18. I would go with these guys: Meisei Jap Imports. I just bought my car through them and highly recommend them.
