1. i don't know if its been done before, but here goes i was looking through a brake disc book and found some merc ml55 345 discs/rotors i could alter to fit a skyline, all you have to do is take the centre bore out to 68mm from 67mm skimm 1mm of each side to take them from 32mm to 30mm and redrill the mounting holes to nissan pcd, then make brackets to space the calipers out, then grind some of the caliper away where the disc runs just enough to make the pads sit right and a space between the edge of the disc and the caliper for expansion,i bought the discs for £68 in the uk the cheapest 345mm discs for a skyline in the uk is £175,quite a saving if you no somebody with a lathe
2. is this power at the flywheel, and the stock comp on the rb25de is 10:1 according to the manual
3. mine had a dual mode silencer, does the non s have dual mode silencer/muffler or was that an option, and 2.5" exhaust i think non s have smaller
4. surprised dagr81 hasn't seen it yet and called him a liar like he did me
5. yes your correct i did join to pm sparx to get info, its free to join, heres a link to watch http://www.bebo.com/Profile.jsp?MemberId=6066119530
6. 297kw at the wheels at 9.8psi,i tried the link and it works fine from my computer,is there anybody else can't access it ,is name is sparx on www.nissansilvia.co.nz
7. take a look at this rb25de+t http://www.nissansilvia.co.nz/nuke/modules...135&start=0 its the most powerful i've seen to date but i'm getting there, and try a search under (tigerwhite drift)
8. the info i've found so far its 346wbhp but that will do me for now, just got to find out what boost he is at to get 30 bhp more than me ,most of his mods are the same except turbo
9. how much are new nismo or equiv 62 degree thermostats, because they are silly money in england £139 although on ebay i can get one for £65 from america and then import duty its alot of money when you can buy a thermostat for a ford escort for £2.99,can anyboby help thanks john
10. thats great to know, how can i contact them i'd like to discuss mods with them, are they on this site or do you have an email address i just want to get the most out of it ,400atw is great i want some of that, many thanks john
11. pfc,480cc injectors,255litre fuel pump,fmic,25 row oilcooler, fpr, coldairbox with feed pipe, splitfires, good plugs, turbo elbow/downpipe 3" upto 3'75 to 4.5" tailpipe all xs power,decat,r32 gtr clutch, kenlowe electric fan and modified plenum but you have already seen this in the sticky on gts+t its been at 10psi about a year and 8.5psi for 1.5 years before that, i think alot of power comes from cold intake i know shawny as the same mods without the plenum and he's 50bhp atf down and i put it down to all that intercooler pipe over an hot engine, and i have done a oildrain mod
12. its a devilsown 150psi pump with 1gph nozzle pre turbo and a 3gph pre throttlebody set to inject at 6psi boost,it works well but i'm only on the 1st washertank of meth/water and i have to use about 3 tanks to clear all the carbon out of the engine, then i'll get it remapped.its my spare engine i wanted to lower the comp on and get it ready for when this one fails and its an r33 rb25de,and i suppose i want to keep to standard internals because over here(england)lots said don't bother putting a turbo on it you'll never get any power,i have already proved them wrong and just want to do it a bit more
13. i'm at 378bhp atf at the moment at 10.13psi boost and i've fitted meth/water injection and hoping for 400bhp+ when i get it mapped at 12psi boost.i have another rb25de engine i was thinking of lowering the comp to 8:1 and big turbo to push the rb25de to the limit, has anyone tried doing this, thanks in advance john
14. just a little question,i have an rb25de with 10:1 compression, how thick has the headgasket/spacer got to be to lower the comp to 8:1,or a formula to work it out, many thanks john
15. i know yours is an r34,but my r33 rb25de has a bung for the turbo return,i take it you have fitted a turbo to an na,but some r33 rb25de's have not got the bung, some people tee into the oil return from the head.i just thought of something you could run the return to the drain plug on the sump but never known anybody to do it,although the return would be better over the oil level
16. i have 2 52mm gauges in the ashtray opening and kept the lighter
17. you say 7psi but on the graph it looks like over 9psi or am i looking at the wrong bit
18. i'm still using a standard rb25de box with an r32 gtr exedy clutch, for about 2 years and its been ok so far
19. i did do everything myself except the mapping and the alli welding,if i had the facilaties i'd do it all,i've watched sau for a few years and you are a muppet you have not read the posts properly, all i want to do at the end off the day is help skyline owners to get the most out of thier cars,if you continue to disbelieve me and nobody cares what i have learned over years of trial and error. and the cars been running 300+ath for 2 years + at the moment
20. they use their old paperwork on a new dyno, and the inlet plenum makes 40/50 bhp more than stock and electric fan gives 3/5bhp,cold air forced fed, and 224kw is probably on a low comp engine an ordinary gtst,i've been a mechanic for over 30 years, but obviously you know more,by the way there is a post on skylineowners.com which states thor racing say its fly bhp but its really hub bhp. i want to see what n-dawg comes up with if he gets 10 psi he should get around 300/310 at the fly bhp that is as a mate of mine as, and a member on here called shawny http://www.skylineowners.com/forum/showpos...mp;postcount=23 http://www.skylineowners.com/forum/showpos...mp;postcount=21 http://www.skylineowners.com/forum/showpos...mp;postcount=24
21. brits measure in both fly and wheel/hub and mine is 315bhp at the hubs which is 378 at the fly on a standard r33 gtst turbo at 10.13 psi boost,i don't know where you did your research but its wrong,my 1st dyno was 301bhp at the hubs at 8psi boost and i still have meth/water to put on but i have not had the time yet
22. its in post number 5 the bottom one of the 2 sheets surprised you haven't seen it
23. mine as 315bhp at the hubs at 10.13psi boost, wytsky as 310bhp at the wheels running 15psi boost, looking at that they must have retarded the timing to stop the det with the high comp,so no gain in bigger turbo or extra boost,i can't wait to get my methonol/water injection on,less det and turn up the boost hopefully 400bhp+atf
24. whats 230rwkw in bhp, and wytsky what torque do you have i'm just trying to compare dyno's and wether its worth upping the boost, thanks john
