hard to see in your photo,but it is a heater control valve of some sort . when you move the heater control inside it should open up to let hot water into the heater core to warm you up ? or stop the flow to cool you down.

have you looked for the error codes on the computer first ?, checked the grounds and plugs for corrosion, pretty common?

I think you meant Generic, they make them to fit shop windows/showrooms , not for the best sound in your required car/space if you dont think its generic then it should fit like a glove , designed for exact car ? ditch the box and build custom or mutilate it to fit

that box isnt designed right if you have to remove your spare to fit it(sounds like a generic box and some BS a salesmen told you to me). so I wont even go into what you should do to fit it to the chassis

I have mine insured for low K's a year , it made a difference with shannons of nearly 30 bucks a month but you can still drive it whenever you want when I asked them for any other ways to discount it, they offered up 10% off if you have a valid CAMS licence.. so may have to look into that soon. damo that list from insure as you go is soooo funny, since when does a pod filter make you more likely to crash or cost them heaps to repair...hahahaha insurance companies here blow.. in USA you can mod the hell out of any car , as long as you have photos,receipts for mods, and independent valuation done if its over a certain amount on a classic car. they care more about your credit scores,loans on the car,driving records...and they dont fuss when you need to have a claim..

if you need toslink to remove noise you have a bad install of equipment failing. did you ask the question here for the noise ? I live in adelaide south if you want to meet up sometime, so I can listen to it and advise ? or post up the recorded noise and a small list of affected items, models as well I'm sure the noise can be resolved without toslink. dont forget home systems can use digital signal paths much easier then a vibrating, noisy, harsh environment car can. ditch the toslink idea more then likely its not going to fix the noise on a bad install

might go up for photos but decided to leave the R34 out of it.. too much hassle and dont want to be babysitting my car for fear of a bogan attack or defect on a public holiday blitz still have NFI how much it cost to get in to view it ?

when I lived in LA my G/F bro had a steering wheel that came off, we came out to see some crips pushing the lowrider down the street with vicegrips for the steering wheel... so dont think that will stop anyone for more then 5 seconds. buy a big dog to ride shotgun..lol really you need to budget a bit for security , if not how can you expect to afford to drive one at all ??? I know budgets are tight but do it right or pay for it twice ?? or worse it gets nicked without insurance due to a lack of a few hundred dollar alarm on it. common sense really ???

Alpine, 5 channel amp, MRA F350 , 550 also Kenwood had a few Coustic did as well Audison processor most are to simplify a multimedia setup pretty random and most arent made anymore most people stuff the link when they install it , so why bother unless you drive a silent car that you can hear the difference in the noise floor and dynamic range ????
