  2. Spotted a fair few skylines when I was at the drags last night. If it was any of you guys them pm me for pics because I took a fair few :-)
  3. hey guys, as title states i need a set (more importantly the left hand) of lower control arms for an r33. Car is a gts4 and i'm not sure if any others will fit but please contact me if you have any at all! Email [email protected] or call/sms 0449-250-960. Thanks, steph.
  4. spotted DR33GT last night on old windsor rd, very nice!
  5. Just a question, what filter are you running? When you cleaned it did you put too much oil on it? or are you running one of the dry apexi filters? Apparently if there is too much excess oil on the filter it gets stuck to the metal prongs in the airflow and will cause the airflowmeter to give a faulty reading. The other thing is to clean your throttle body as it can get dirty and cause the rough idle etc, you'll be suprised at all the junk in there especially if you're running an aftermarket filter without a box. I'm not a mechanic, these are just some of the things I have discovered since owning my r33. I work for toyota and a few of our mechanics own skylines (traitors I know haha) so that's who I grab all my info from... they haven't led me astray yet
  6. I have an AFM from my r33 gts4 n/a if you want it. It has the pink label on it and was working fine when I took it off. I thought something was wrong with it so I bought a new one, turns out it was fine the whole time. Massive waste of money on my part... but I was planning to change it anyway as a maintenance thing. If you want it pm me :-)
  7. I'm feelin a bit the same way lately. I bought the car with the intentions of loving and looking after it which worked in the first 3 months, always washed and polished, I used to just sit and stare out the window at it in awe. Since then my mum made me sell my daily (i live at home still, only 20 and theres 7 cars to 4 people) so now the 33 gets used as a daily driver. I own horses too so it gets taken into paddocks, driven through mud etc etc and although gets washed etc it's taking it's toll on her. Since the car has been used as a daily to get to work and to see my horses I have lost the fascination for it that I once had... Sad really Gosh now after reading that ^ I feel so bad haha.
  8. also just spotted VIRSA silver r33 on cumberland hwy turning onto great western. I have seen more modified cars tonight than I have in a few months, car scene is dead
  9. spotted KAOTIK on old windsor road about 15minutes ago. Very nice! I was driving my silver 33 with MZ33YO plates.
  10. If you need it and want to throw me an offer text or call me on the above number. I don't need it anymore and want it gone! :-)
  11. Hey guys, to cut a long story short I am selling this afm because I thought mine wasn't working and it turns out it was. Basically I bought this one for no reason... Was off an r33 and I am located in Sydney. Everything on this afm is working properly. Price is $200 Contact me on 0449 250 960 as I don't check pm's / emails regularly. Steph.
  12. I had a problem with my revs in my 33 gts4 too, constantly jumping and sounded like it wanted to stall. I changed my air filter & cleaned the throttle body... hasn't done it since.
  13. I picked up my r33 gts-4 manual for relatively cheap. Haven't been happier. Any pics of it?
  14. 2 pics of my car, had to cut the Mr's car out grrr ruined my pics
  15. Hiiii, my first time posting in this thread (didn't have any decent photo's hahaha) This is My car (left) and Mr's car (right) and my favourite 2 pics I have taken randomly relating to my 33. xox, steph :-)
  16. spotted a black 34 on old windsor road tonight. He pulled up next to me, said "nice car, is it manual?" i said "thanks, yes" then the lights went green and i got stuck behind an old lady in a merc!! Not sure if he's on here but sorry for not talking to you properly, didn't mean to sound rude!
  17. Call Nissan, I would recommend speaking to Glen at Ryde Motor Group, just give him your Jap vin, he will give you the part number very quickly.
  18. I'm a green p plater without a clean driving record and I went with Just Car for my full comp. Definately the cheapest and the most suitable for myself.
  19. Hey guys, Before I owned a skyline I had a massive interest in them (as most people do) but had noticed that alot of people who I knew and had spoken to had problems with the idle on these cars. After buying one myself I hadn't noticed it, until maybe the second month. Revs were very erratic, jumping up and down, and even stalling a couple of times. I had spoken to a few people regarding my own car and they had said it may be a vacuum leak, etc etc. Then my boys car started playing up too so I decided we needed to do something, numerous mechanics had suggested many different things to try so we could figure it out but I, and my boy had both decided we didn't want to waste money guessing. I work for Toyota and one of the mechanics also has a skyline, luckily for me he is very talented at what he does and didn't just guess or take a stab in the dark like so many other people I had spoken to suggested doing. Turns out the throttle body and air flow just needed a clean, a problem that was causing my car to stall and be a pain in the *** took about 15 minutes to fix??? How could it be! I know a few people have/are experiencing this problem so this is just a little tip instead of wasting your money guessing and trouble shooting. This is really common when you have a pod filter. Dirty throttle body = faulty signals to TPC and erratic idling. Even just as a maintenance thing I would suggest it Thanks guys.
  20. Hey, Any idea on postage cost to Sydney for the steering wheel? Also how much are you chasing for it? Thanks heaps, Steph.
  21. Lol just got her back from mechanics after having a massive grinding noise when you are taking off or decelartating. I came to the conclusion it was the tensioner because it was only grinding when the belt was supposed to be loose. As this is the spring loaded tensioner I also came to the conclusion it was the spring. Took it to mechanics and what do you know. Belt is barely 1cm in width and about to snap, it was rubbing because the tensioner had let it slip. All fixed now. Also had adjustable steering arms fitted last week. Car is running 100% and is very fun
  22. Thanks guys. Central Coast Person- I'm undecided as to which brand of what I will be getting, depending on others experiences here I guess. GTS4WD- Any other info on the shocks? Which ones and where from? Shocks definately need replacing as I own horses and the car is taken out into a paddock and rough road daily so she needs good shocks. Car isn't anywhere ready for the 100,000km service as yet, only has 70,000.... I suspected a wind-back until I saw all the paperwork and service history. Any other info would be great.
  23. Seen a couple of threads but aren't really too specific and questions weren't answered. Just got my r33 gts4 rb25de. Need part numbers for: Spark plugs- Leads- Oil filter- Air filter (standard panel)- Shocks (all 4)- Also, what oil are you using? This vehicle is a non-turbo.. I work for toyota, but surely there is somebody in here who works for nissan? If anybody does have the rb25de, what are you doing for your regular services, anything I should be changing sooner than later? (ie parts notorious for a short/limited life span). Please do not spam the thread. xox, Steph
