  1. Bump-a-roonie! Now have my new car, so this has to go, and go to a good home. Is that your home!? Call now!
  2. If you're THAT worried about your car blowing up, probably worth looking at de-tuning it a tad. I mean its what 5kw extra your going to have? Because you would be nuts to tune it to the 100ron stuff.
  3. Hey, keeps the forums moving. Nothing worse than a stale forum! Especially given its school holidays, it should be going nuts!
  4. Nissan Cefiro for sure! In fact I have one for sale, so anyone can buy their own best bit of the eightys! Because sure as hell not much else that came out of that time was good! The VN surely tho, yeah? HAHA!
  5. Wow, that would be the CX-7 again! That kia rio ad, where they are crapping on about where its been designed pretending its somewhere nice. And then they show the car.
  6. Looks like someone did a water pastel then put it in their pocket and forgot about it, then it went through the wash, and now its a concept. I'm honestly baffelled with all these concept drawings now.
  7. Would appear the real battle is on SAU! Either way, my money is on the Toyota, they haven't had a proper sports car of any description in ages. Their involvement in F1 would make me feel there is a customer base there they want to target. I would assume there would be a toyota version, and a lexus version. Might try a simliar set up to ferrari and mazarati, or Aston and Jag. Toyota will be the fast one, the Lexus will be the nice comfy one, thats a tad slower. I dont know tho, Im not Toyotas marketing manager. But I feel they would be keener to win, and they DEFINATELY have the most money. I think Nissan might have done a Sega to be honest.
  8. If you buy a manual 1.5L they are good. They did win Australias best small car 2 years in a row. I mean we all know its a little dodgy that awards system, but they have all the kit, engine, ac, abs, airbags etc. Good for a run about. But really its not worth it if your keeping the skyline. $15k is a lot of petrol.
  9. Yeah... I've been out on that road, and lets just say the posted speed limit was ignored, and I was quite scared. 80k is good up there.
  10. That and well, its nice and close to the court house so you can all contest your fines nice and easy. Its not about the room you have to think about. Its the location. If its even remotly close to houses that might have people in them cross it off the list. Its that simple, people hate hoons, weither they be actually hoons or not.
  11. I guess you could always fake a heart attack or a fit or something...? I've found in the past pulling over, getting out of the car and meeting them at their door before they have even pulled over themselfs is a good way. But these days they just get paranoided about guns and get angry and ask you to get back in to your car. Since I've found the best way is, don't speed, at least not where there are police.
  12. Ahhh, all nice drives. Cant wait to get the new car and have fun with the run in And dude, if your on holidays and didnt go away somewhere, spend a few dollars on fuel, enjoy your time off.
  13. And not many non gold coasters wanted to travel down there all the time. But they did.
  14. I forgot this was about a meeting spot. Really Willowbank would probably be the best in all honesty. I mean half of those places listed above are 60-90mins away from me, and even FURTHER for northside people. Willowbank is 30mins away from me, its all off highway. Its not stuffing around high density housing. Its only one lane most of the way home, or that stuffed that no one is going to be having runs on that, so that keeps the cops happy. AND its got a track. Because I mean, all the races home are straight line anyway. To say you don't like drags then hit the races home is a little hipcritical. My oppinion. It works. Won't work for the people north north side, or the people south goldy. But hey, an extra 30mins on the road, and 1/12 of a tank is probably worth not getting the fine.
  15. Daily drivers are a false economy as well. 2x everything, really doesnt equate. In most cases at least.
  16. If he hasn't got a motor to put in it, he should just buy mine. Even if he does he should just buy mine and sell the RB20 thats in it. Its got all the gear for the big motor already.
  17. I built my car up to use it on the track, but have it as a relativly comfortable daily, which it does a mighty fine job at. But I don't get the time, nor have the money to get it out there often enough to justify having it. The cruising thing is really boring now I don't know anyone. Used to be good back in the day, go down meet up with everyone. Good to head out once every 3-6 months just to see whats going on really. So car is getting sold, and I got something 'normal' to drive to and from work with. Because thats all I do. As with most of us. I honestly think some of us are just holding on to this dream.
  18. Just to brag, I must have uncanny timing. I just got a new job, they gave me a fuel card, and I just today bought a VW TFSI Jetta. So I'm set. BTW, anyone want to buy a cefiro that can get a combined milage of 10L/100kms?
