  1. My comments on this. I tend to agree Cubes. Every car manual (as in the one with the car) I have read have said 'use moderate acceleration, for best fuel economy' Not light not heavy. Being smooth also helps. Try and get good control. Being in cars with other people they are constantly on off on off, it adds load, uses more petrol. It also is really annoying. I also (up to a point) drive by my boost gauge. Feel the car, you can feel when its straining, feel when its not doing anything and its time to change gears. I feel I can say this as Im getting 550-600kms out of my RB20DET cefiro (so heavier than most of you skyline boys) Say 300kms of that is highway to be honest, but its still not bad. In regards to the lounge room stuff... Personally I know 40* ambient (hotter inside of the car) in QLD summer is NOT safe. When you get that and rain, windows down dont work, you get wet. A/C is a MUST for Qld. You cant think straight otherwise, make mistakes, and crash. Ditto with stackers. The idea is so you dont need to change CDs while driving, being safer again. I do a lot of driving, and listen to music the whole time, so I can justify the extra weight and use of engery for that. As I say tho, thats just me...
  2. Mum... Sorry but that one just really really bugs me.
  3. Here is a novel idea. Get her to drive both, see which one she likes best. Toyota for the reliablity win though.
  4. *moan* & *grunt* & *sigh* & *fall on ground* MORNING!
  5. Yeah.... But I would probably keep looking for somewhere else. "they are a bit out of his way"
  6. If I could have bought one pre 1jz'ed I would have. As that would have been resonably cheap. But I couldnt I reckon you went the smarter option. To smash one of those things you need to be doing something wrong.
  7. So the club cant take it over and sign for it? Or we still need all individuals?
  8. Waahhhhaat!? MUD CO-ORDINATE DAMN IT!
  9. Dude if its no hassels then just do it hey. Me personally tho, I would say maybe not dump the clutch at the same revs you would with normal tyres. More grip the more chance of snapping something.
  10. Should be about 2-3 weeks for the engine rebuild. And Ska is ooooffffffffff the face of the planet. I think we need to bring him back to reality.
  11. Try letting the tyre pressure down to start with. Its a lot of money and hassel for 13secs of fun.
  12. I understand the clubs interests were at heart. But group buy! Put me down for the plane conversion kit!
  13. Paul I would have though you of all people would have gone down the right track with this and PM'ed admin about paying to advertise like everyone else has to. Quite frankly as much as some of these products are terrific, and very well priced (I mean I got quoted $200 000 on a flux capacitor just the other day), I refuse to deal with this trader until they cough up and help out the club. Its just not the right way to go about things. That and they are all sold out of passenger noise reducers.
  14. As discussed with Dave today, it was decided small people like myself would find this to be death. Dave felt he could handel it. Another one is deep fryed mars bars. My Dad found them up the sunnycoast yesterday. Really good also. Apparently... See a veritiable cornucopia of uses!
  15. I think our additudes against them is good enough. They might still be stupid but not around us.
  16. Which one is red? The red one will win.
  17. LoL, dude I got my own spare set, on the car already. Looks so dodgy tho. People my think Im a poser drifter now Its so much harder to drive, the side walls on these things must be made out of wet cardboard.
  18. Dude, you can do amazing things with a deep fryer and some potatos...
  19. Aaron its a bang for buck thing. If yours comes in at 11% less, but costs 20-30% less you have better bang for buck. The guys that want that extra 11% performance can pay for it. The rest of us are happy as we have more money left in our pocket to spend on petrol to enjoy the car. I fully understand what your saying. Ideaily everything other than the bearing its self would be identical for the perfect comparision. Thats assuming we live in a perfect world. So if your product is the only one with your specs, then there is no comparision, which is a good and bad thing. But it would be unfair to say you couldnt compair it to the closest matched turbo. Maybe needing to make some sort of equation to adjust the results so its a more equal comparision. I think you should take up the offer regardless. The information that could be gained by doing so is worth it. Pardon any poor spelling or gramma.
  20. Well wheels changed, spacers off, oilchange done, wipers done (IT WONT RAIN NOW HA!). All is well in the land of cef!
  21. I'll just put the R33 rims on, and hope it doesnt rain.
  22. Nope. All Saturdays, no Sundays.
  23. Might not be coming. I gotta see if I can fix my tyre. If not I have spares but they dont work in the rain.
  24. How old is old exactly? Hippo Birdy anyway dude!
