  1. He did say same pads all round. And slotted front disks. Jason, did you end up getting the calipers rebuilt at all? If so there MIGHT be a problem there.
  2. You got a number, and or sure thats their name? I tried both wheels revolution and revolution wheels in both the yellow and white pages and got nothing.
  3. Hi, and welcome to the work week. 5 days to go!
  4. Paint it. They are illegal, they shatter in an impact. Or are prone to at least. So unless you get it crash tested, and it passes that test. Its illegal. By painting it the cops wont know. However you crash I doubt insurance would be willing to cover you.
  5. Low performance you mean yeah?
  6. Id just like to quickly point out to all the people that have said harsher testing will help. It wont do bugger all unless it has the training to go with it. They will simply fail and fail and fail until they have the training to pass. End of the day, what I feel is harsh this guy gets 19months for speeding. Where as a drunk driver might only get 6months if they are a repeat offender. Now that is bad. It needs to refect the crime a bit more.
  7. Can anyone, or does anyone know of anyone that can make me up some custom (ie safer) wheel spacers. After doing a bit of reading on here about them, then actually changing my wheels over today, I noticed mine are severly lacking. Basically I need something made up with a hub type thing so the wheel can sit on that rather than the wheel studs. From what I've read on here that should be good enough. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=105579 Something similar to that. Only problem is I believe my hubs are smaller that what the wheel needs. So the 'new hub' for the want of a better word would have to be bigger. I guess bolt on would be better, just I think they might be too think.
  8. Yep done and done. I pulled the carpet back today, and I was changing wheels over so I had a good look. It seems there is wear on the plastic tyre guard thing. So water could be getting through there. To me it doesnt look like the ecu gromit, looks ok. I dont have any sealent here so I'll try grab some durring the week and seal it up just to rule that out. But it does seem the water is getting in down where that is... Im almost thinking it could be something air vent related as well. Thanks for the help btw, anything else post it up.
  9. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=104405 It was on page two... So not that far to look.
  10. When was your last oil change?
  11. Man thats awesome hey. I reckon the drive around town with the German couple would have been miles better than the tour. And yeah, the ring doesnt sound so nice now...
  12. He is right about the road design thing. Its not just the driver skills though, its also the general quality of cars in Australia. They arent really designed to go much above 100kmh, and thats assuming they are road worthy enough in the first place. But speed limits are also there for the unexpected. Highways are 100kmh as the chance of someone running across them, or a car coming out of a side street etc is very low.
  13. Yeah not heater core, its just when it rains.
  14. Anyone else, as its just started raining again
  15. What company do you work for Cyrus...
  16. not2.3 r33 whats doing mate, go check your PMs....
  17. 1 week to go! WOOHOO!!!
  18. Seriously dude just go get a custom one, it wont cost much and you know its going to fit.
  19. Do you really need 2x 12s? Get a break down of the quote, then you can see how much the sd is costing, and labour, cables etc all that adds up so its probably pretty fair. But if they cant do that for you start asking some more questions. Such as why.
  20. Really results are one thing, how it feels is another. For Id say most of us if we dont like the feel of a tyre, we arent going to like it, and therefore not be confident with it. By not being confident it means we cant use its limit and a tyre which technically has worse performance might be better as you can feel what its going to do. Also, we dont know if the test was rigged or not.
  21. Well thats one to try! As its only started more recently (6months, but then its probably only rained 2days of that up until now) so it could be something to do with rust.
  22. Couldnt you guys just order in a whole bunch, group buy it on here or something? Im going to try and find them tomorrow tho, and do it on the weekend see how it goes and all. Quick question tho. If my little sprung coilpack contact things are gone, but the coilpack other than that is still good, what would I use as a replacement for the spring?
  23. Ahh ok cool as dude. If you ever want out talk to me, I'll get my dad to talk to you. Hes a personl consultant, deals in all that type of stuff. Should be able to help one way or the other.
  24. http://www.queenslandraceway.com.au/sprints.html Thats the link to how it all works for anyone who doesnt know (like I did ) Seems a good format. Not a hope getting to this one, but Id hope by the next round I should be well and truly ready to take on the track. Both skills and car.
