Yeah, could have been a lot worse. Thing is, had you done that in your skyline it could have been just as bad. So please, do not do it again.

Just How Good Is Redline Shockproof?
dangerous_daveo replied to D-limo's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Well I went from some standard oil to the redline stuff. Just because of changing jobs its harder to get to my mechanic etc. It IS better, but its not like some people say where its gods love juice. If you pull out the redline oil manual it tells you why its better. Its a thicker oil with all the additive stuff already in it all made to work with each other, so its effectivly thinner/more slippy. Just like putting in a thinner oil. Just with less protection. So instead of spending allll that money on redline, just (as above) get some auto fuild, wack that in for a week. If it fixes it leave it in or go the redline, if its still crunching get the new gearbox. -
Thing is, how much is a BMW desiel car over here compaired to EU... I think a lot of you really dont get this hey. BTW, ford aint too bad. They have their EU division which are pumping out some nice cars. Also think if ford and GM go down, who goes down with them. 100 000s of jobs, potentially whole economys, volvo, subaru, mazda, proton/lotus to name a few. For anyone to say 'I wish they would go broke' is very narrow minded. They build cars for a price, just like hyundia etc do.

Not really worth it on turbo either unless your Jackie Stewart either. Its that or a rotator splint you are talking about. Both are extreamly dangerous and can make your car randomly combust at any moment of time. But dont let that fool you, after 90seconds it turns its self off.

Go convoy styles I think Gordo!

What about the engine Shannnneeeeee?
-
LoL, your the one that started this. Now that you have been working on one, and are no longer drunk at 2am. They arent so cool are they Dan
-
No idea about the Nissan, but the Toyota they thought the avalon was a better car for the aussie market. So Holden aint that bad... Anyway, pricing seems pretty good.
-
Thats a tad rude. Maybe its because of all the yelling?

I think a lot of you are looking at this the wrong way. This car is a bit of a leap for holden. They have always had something to 'base' their cars on, this time they havent. Its a car for the general Aussie family. Which these days is doing ok, bit over weight, likes a bit of torque for towing the boat/trailer/caravan wants rwd, etc. Its built to a spec. Being holden want these features in it for this cost. Its a little more out there, which seems to be the fashon these days with cars (5 series BMW, mazda 6 etc). The fact the engine is smaller than the 380, I really dont know if thats going for it or not. With the 6L pushrod thing, that motor has more R&D in it that I would think anything else ever, for Australia its a tops motor, sit on 1500rpm cruising along at 110kmh put your foot down to over take the truck, it works. With no revs for the size and power of the car its got good fuel economy. We arent going to say its the best car, as its not. But I mean if we were in the market for a 4 door new sedan we would have to look at it. But we arent, which is why we all drive high performace turbo Japanese imports... We arent the target market.

G C G Ball Bearing High Flow Turbos For R33gtst $1750.

So Gary answer to the RB20 question please??? -
Woo! Aussies won the rugby. By a lot. SO WHY CANT WE BEAT NZ!!!
-
Yes but the problem is, if they had the choice of that (ie Jason the pervert looking up their dress) or riding in luxury of a cefiro, you know where they would go. BTW, go look through a bit of car history about the maxima thing. We here had maximas in 1988-1992 (running time of rwd cefiro), and we had maximas before and after that time as well. So to call a rwd cefiro a maxima is wrong. Feel free to call it a camary tho. We all know your jelous anyway. (all two of us )

I did too. So sway bars werent included in that price. I wanted a proper fix as I had rebuilt jap coilovers to aussie road spec, and 3 of those failed. I didnt really want to replace the stuff again. So after my own research and a long conversation (and a few shorter ones ) with SK I decided that for what I wanted the bilstiens were the best and most cost effective (not cheapest, but the service life would seem longer than jap coilovers) option. Reason for getting them through SK over anyone else is he is and will be the cheapest, unless you get lucky and find someone who has ordered the wrong shocks and is trying to flog them off cheap. Id talk to SK, read the shock 101 thats sticked in this forum, ring say fulcrum and talk to them (they are a tein dealer and do have a 2 year warrenty or something). Then make your own then educated decision on which way to go.

The few times I have come across them I've had my highbeams on. They have just staired and looked, did not move one inch. So my thinking is, if you know they arent going to move, you can go the other side of the road and just go around them. Thats just going by my experiences tho.

You know whats gay (to the coupe skyline drivers here) having your lovely rear passengers trying to get out and bump their head/s and then falling over and hurting themselfs. Everyone loves a ceffy!
-
Well I got a price of $2500 supplied and fitted, alined etc for the 'aussie' spec teins from Fulcrum. That was the works in terms of the suspension gear its self, no camber or castor kits. SKs set up came in a fair bit cheaper. In my case anyway. That and I feel I have a better quality product.

Hsv Astra Vxr/xr5t In Motor Mag
dangerous_daveo replied to Busky2k's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Gearing maybe? Id go the ford tho, seems a better car than the astra. I think the mazda 3 mps is just stupid. People are going to die because of that car. -
Southside as in springwood. Thats where he is as in Accurate Suspension. My guess tho is if wheels are 45* out of wack, a wheel alinement wont be much help. $175 for a tow but. Dude get RACQ today. Go fill out the form and get it. You should be a free to go member so it wont cost you anything. Even if it does, pay the money. We got a tow back from the coast and it was less than that.
-
Mr Eps, you got shinny wheels? And your in Perth right? Mark used to live in Perth and from what I was told gave the cops a good run around with his RB26 cef. So they probably just dont like them over there. I've only been pulled over twice in 2.5 years. And only got done on one of those occasions.

Gotta admit man, speeding, no rego your kind asking for it a bit and no offence, but you should have been done. Thats just silly driving un regoed.
-
Hey wow! Me too! Who is it? Sounds alrite.

Thats dodgy as man. They forgot to refit the number plate. Id take it back, you might get a ticket for that. You paid them to take it off, surely you would have paid them to put it back on. Make them earn their money. Other than that top job hey. Im with everyone else on the bonnet. Thats tops. Good airflow, makes it look meaner! But get that number plate sorted
