  1. Dave, have you driven to Osaka from your place before? Or to Kyoto or around there?
  2. Me too... I didn't realize how much until the last few days.
  3. Hahaha... lolPM me dude.
  4. Thanks Jimbo... 400hp @ the engine, or whatever number Evo_Lee can produce with his Evo 5... can't have him beating me around corners AND on the straights!!!
  5. I'm not sure Funkeh, I'm assuming they used +25 - +30 offset, so to get the rim out that far, you'd need at least an 11", maybe 12" rim on the rear to fill those guards. My 9" rims on the back are f-l-u-s-h with the wheel arch with +35 offset on the standard guards, you'd at least need a couple more inches on that width to fill out those BN rear guards. As for the front... same. My 8" sit a tad in from the stock front guards, so I would've thought another couple of inches to fill out the BN guards... at +35 or +40 offset...Why don't I just e-mail them...
  6. Thanks Dave I've just been talking to Kayo about driving out to your place... but I just can't convince her that Yamanashi isn't near downtown Tokyo! She seems to think that if we drive out there it's almost like driving to Tokyo, which she doesn't want to do until the Auto Salon!!! Any ideas on how I can convince her? We might be able to head over in the first few weeks of September btw.
  7. Right. If you can just get over the *look* of the V35, it is in fact a bargain at auction.
  8. We'll try and sort something out on the weekend topi
  9. Hehehe... pity the fun stopped at 185km/h!!!! Damn speed limiter!!!
  10. ***This car is "in the build", so it's still in the early stages*** East Bear aero mirrors. My wheels are Desmond Regamaster 17x8JJ +32 (with 3mm spacer) 215/45/17 front, 17x9JJ +35 245/40/17 rear. As you can see in the last pic, the caliper clearance was about 1mm without the spacers, so a 3mm spacer was put on just to be sure there'd be no contact. Special thanks to: Troy (Evo_Lee) and my lovely wife for helping me screw those Regamasters on in the Autobacs carpark.... 2,000 yen saving! Cheers guys!!!
  11. They're 10" and 12" wide wheels filling out those guards Shan... please don't do an "HPI drift Silvia" and put wide guards on then have your 7" and 8" rims do a really bad job of filling out the wheelarches.
  12. Yoshio Matsuda is the Curator of the museum... I dare say he owns some of them too.
  13. Calm down... geezuz. Now, lets straighten this out. You reply to this thread stating that "Yankee" plates allow eeerm, dare I say "US military employees" to get cheaper shaken, to which I (nobody else, so I guess your outburst was directed at me) said "do tell", as in "would you mind explaining "Yankee" plates to us non-military types". Did I miss something? To answer your question straight up, no... this forum isn't strictly for Australians, all are welcome.
  14. "Yankee" plate? Oh do tell... Actually, I got my 2 years shaken done for 100,000yen... I've heard it as high as 200,000yen when parts (wipers, lights etc) have to be replaced, but a J-girl told me that, no offence to the ladies but she may not have known what was going on.
  15. Pretty tough trying to find a "non-western" gift in the UK!!!
  16. Try west... Kansai - Osaka to be exact.
  17. AFAIK Dave went post-January...? Wierd...
  18. Heh heh... better pick up a couple just in case...
  19. 20mm wider FRP front fenders Anyone had them foul on the front struts? Just wondering if the +30 offset with the 9" rim on the front will foul...
  20. I haven't seen any R32s in AU with R33 GT-R wheels on... anyone have these rims on or seen them on another R32? An R32 parked I saw parked in Osaka had them on the back only, just wondering if R33 GT-R rims foul on the front struts or anything?
  21. The "drift cat" used to be sold by URAS...
  22. Don't you dare...
  23. R32 GT-R rims are 16"x8" R32 GTS-T Type M rims are 16"x6.5"... same design, different width.
  24. Damn... thats what I forgot to pick up from SuperAutobacs on Sunday...
