  1. We're the northern hemisphere up here dude... summertime.
  2. Taken at about 9:30pm tonight... a sign atop a building in central Umeda, Osaka. Humidity is up around 100% too... Gotta love Japan.
  3. RB26_S15: Don't get me wrong mate, I'm not gonna "shoot the messenger" so to speak, but that article you scanned is the biggest piece of horse shit I've seen printed in an Aussie mag for awhile...BELOW is EXACTLY THE SAME article as printed in Horide Auto last month, except where Speed Magazine has decievingly put "Skyline", the Infiniti M45 is in actual fact THE NEXT CEDRIC/GLORIA and that the car is going to be sold in Japan as a 2.5 or 3.5L V6, NOT as a V8 like Speed wrongly says. Add to that the fact that the M45 will be called the FUGA in Japan (and probably everywhere else... See in BIG letters the name Fuga? Thats what the next Cedric/Gloria is getting it's name changed to. Speed Magazine... how could they get it sooooo wrong??? Guys, in future, please run ANYTHING about the new Skyline (be it GT-R or otherwise) past me first, and I'll iron out all the potential bullshit. Cheers lads, (thanks for the scan RB26_S15 ) /Rezz
  4. "bosou"?? Whatever could you mean by that my young lad?

You did NOT write that yourself did you... the dictionary style language gave it away. But yeah, I'll leave out the sock bizzo
  6. Ok, the "V8 for the US market GT-R" rumour has been going around for aaaaaages now... and guess what? STILL no development of a V8 for ANY V35 platform.I say that again: STILL no DEVELOPMENT for a V8 in ANY Skyline, be it GT-R, Stagea, sedan... what this basically means, is that Nissan are 2 years out from the release of the GT-R, and still no development of a V8. Is that enough for you guys? The only information that has been leaked about the new GT-R development has been already posted here on SAU. This info revolves around a 3.0/3.2 V6 twin turbo, and the "e-4WD" system that'll replace the ageing ATESSA ET-S system. I stress that the new GT-R will be ABSOLUTELY stunning in the technological side of things.

  8. Maaaaate, Osaka is a very cool place... theres something like 4 or 5 SAU/PF members in this area alone! Here goes... PARKING: If you want to buy a car and drive it in Japan, you NEED to have a parking space first. You have to find a space within 2km of your residence and enter into a contract for at least 6 months, preferrably 1 year. This *can* be negotiated upon (as in have the space for only a few months) if you can get a space AT YOUR BUILDING OF RESIDENCE. If you get a space in a public parking lot (like me - it's about a 1min walk from my building) you generally are stuck with whatever the real estate company contract guidelines are, as in minimum 6 month contract. After you've got your space, you can then submit the details to the local police station to get a rego sticker. This is the easy part, it should take a few days to get it. The trouble is, you need to have already selected a car, as the papers for the rego sticker require you to have the dimentions of the vehicle etc so they can work out how much registration will be (obviously a Kei car will be cheaper). The people who are selling the car have the rego/parking space papers, and they'll hand em over when the deal is complete. If I were you, I'd try and find a parking space first, enter into a contract, then get the car, that way you'll save heaps of time. Just remember that if you get a space in a public parking lot, you'll need your Passport and Australian drivers license. OSAKA: Yes, white person friendly (!), and I can't say that most of the population can speak English, although most of the young people getting about could probably get by with speaking very basic English. Just remember these guys are naturally shy, so even though some Japanese can speak really good English, they'll swear to you black and blue that they can't... How long are you going to stay here?

wtf is T3? 3,000mbp/s? I'm at home... are you? If you are, pat yourself on the back! Monkey... I'm detecting some kind of competiton or something going on with you... it seems that almost everything I do, you gotta come back and say something to the tune of "I see your ***** and raise you ***** ". I'm not having a rant, but if you wanna annoy/irritate/rev me up, at least make it funny! 3 words dude: I'm not interested... now can we get on with the job of producing the best Skyline website on the planet?

I'm back guys... I got 56k dial up connection... NOT! Try 40mbp/s ADSL...
  11. RB26_S15: Pull your thumb out mate and post up a scan of the article pretty please??? I guarantee I can refute ANYTHING written up in that Speed article. Speed are going for maximum sales by printing BULLSHIT. The new GT-R = 3.0/3.2 V6 Twin Turbo.
  12. Yeah, thats the one... Dai from Option magazine owned it right?
  13. No thanks.
  14. Totally disagree. The fact alone that the Stagea is a WAGON is one reason! If Nissan wanted a wagon to come under the "GT-R" umbrella, they would've made a wide-body 2 door version. The Option R33 GT-R "wagon" is THE only GT-R wagon.
  15. hehehe... gaijin alert!

    Jap Char for "rice"

Mada mada... Actually, the car hasn't been signed over to me yet, and theres still some things to fix up on it (right Troy?) before I pick it up... I'll have a thread up at the beginning of August. We'll be heading over to the Pokka 1000km Taikyu race in August in convoy too, should be good.

    Jap Char for "rice"

Jeez Merli, you flunked Japanese 1.01 didn't ya? Gohan - cooked rice Kome - 米 - rice (uncooked, like in a bag) Edit: Holy shit... I was a bit late in replying wasn't I? Whadda tool!
  18. Utada gets the big thumbs up from most of the Japanese population aswell... as for me I've been an Ayu fan for ages and ages. What a hottie... some of her songs (and I emphasise SOME!) are pretty good IMO.
  19. Soooo... is the Bible still a new book because you've never read it?
  20. That and the fact that 80% of the SR20 sits behind the front struts in the R32 (a la Honda S2000) is the other reason why this conversion makes heaps of sense. Although I do agree with Roy about keeping the Skyline a "Skyline"... but what can you do? The SR20>R32 combo is too good to pass up IMO.
  21. Yep... absolutely agree with Meggala there. I shall be going for the SR20DET swap in the Type M for sure.
  22. Japan forum regulars, Guys, I've just moved house and I won't have ADSL access (40 Mbp/s mind you) for another 2 weeks, so hang back with those 1/24th die cast model orders etc ok? So it'll be Rezzless around here for awhile... I haven't buggered off, just letting you guys know!!! When I come back I'll have a "Photo Diary" update and I'll sort those model car orders out etc, etc... p.s. Special thanks goes to Troy (Evil_Pee... I mean "Evo_Lee" ) for sacrificing his Mitsubishi Evo 5 all day last Saturday during 35 degree heat helping me move house... well done lad, u da man!!!
  23. Jeezuz Brian! Tops pics!!! I wish I could take shots like yours with my camera...
  24. Does anyone else agree that this is somewhat of a "opposite" situation to putting an RB26DETT into a VL? ...hehehe, not saying that vee-bloody-eight is any match for a RB26 though! lbfalcon: please tell us you took out an RB20E to put that V8 in...

    Nice RX7

The Mazdaspeed rims in the original pic suit it better IMO... those rims you put on Hicks REALLY look like Commobore HSV wheels...
