  1. Hi fellas, As some of you may already know, I was having spark plug fouling issues (and still am), but I had a new experience yesterday. I purchased a new set of NGK BCP7RES (I think that's the code) gapped to 0.8, EXACTLY the same as the ones I currently had in the car. Now, every month or so, I replace the spark plugs because my car runs better, but this time, it was different. I usually cap the spark plugs down to about 0.75 because thats what they were since the tune. However, this time when I put the new ones in, the car was misfiring all over the rev range! So, I measured the gap on the old spark plugs and they were the same gap as the new spark plus (0.75) so I wasn't sure what the problem was. Nonetheless, I put the old ones back in and now the car is running fine again. Has anyone else encountered this problem? COuld something have gone wrong when I was gapping the spark plugs (although I dont see why it would because I did it like 5 time before)? ANy help would be great. Cheers
  2. Hi Fellas, I was considering swaping my car with a R33 GTR that is modified or an R32 GTR that is very modified. I have an R33 GTS-T RB25/30 pushing out 380rwkw on 20 PSI (Dyno sheet to prove). Car is in Excellent condition inside and out, no damage what so ever. Mods are as follows: Rebuilt RB30 bottom end with forged pistons rods etc (Over $20,000 worth of receipts) with porting of the RB25 head. HKS 256/260 cams with adjustable cam gears. Autronic SM4 ECU (Cost $4,000 installed and tunned) GT35R 0.82 Turbo Tial 38mm external wastgate Plazmaman plennum Nismo 740cc injectors Highmount XTR Manifold Bosch 044 Fuel pump. Straight through 3.5 inch exhaust (with custom piping - optional screamer pipe or plumb back) GReddy Front Mount intercooler Bilstien Shocks all round with K-Mac sports springs. DR-1 Wheels (9.5 inch on the back and 8.5 inch on the front) very light wheels, only weigh 10kg each Jim Berry 3800Lbs "Full Monty" clutch and all your other usual supporting mods (i.e splitfire coilpacks, old air intake, pod filter etc etc). Will post up some pics later this arvo, but I was wondering if anyone is keen for a swap and what they have to offer? Thanks.
  3. Hey mate, I put up a post yesterday regarding swaps with a GTR, check it out and let me know if it's something that you'd be looking for: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Swaps-t312230.html it's a R33 GTST RB25/30 pushing out 380rwkw. Can you give me some more specifics on what turbo you got, have you got receipts? WHat power did it push out on the dyno etc etc? Thanks
  4. Does anyone know what heat range mine are currently? Model number is NGK PFR6G-11 5555. How much $$ for a set of 6 for the bcpr7es and where can I get them from? Cheers fellas
  5. Pretty much 5-10 min drives to work and back each day, car doesn't even get a chance to fully warm up. As for these bcpr7es, what heat range should I get? How long do these spark plugs generally last? I wouldn't mind changing them once a month, anymore than that gets annoying.... Thanks for the input
  6. Sorry mate, you contradicted yourself there.... Not to stop or to stop?
  7. Hi Fellas, I was recently having a few issues with my car with low power output. However, I change the spark plugs (Put NGK platinum ones) and the power was back up (wheels spings in 3rd gear ) Anyway, 3 weeks of driving, the power is back down, had a look at the spark plugs, and they are fouled, yet again... I cant keep forking out $150 every 3 weeks to change the spark plugs, so what do you guys suggest? I have a built rb25/30 block, forged pistons, rods, the whole shabang. GT35r turbo, Autronic SM4. Went to the tuner last week, AFR were perfect throughout so I am not too sure whats causing the fouling? Will I need to get hotter plugs? I am currently running the NGK PFR6G-11 5555 at 0.8 gap. Not sure what heat rating these are. Any suggestions are welcome. CHeers fellas.
  8. Thanks for the reply fellas. I think I feel its slower because it is, started misfiring today and smelling fuely, I think something might be up with the tune. I cleaned the spark plugs but its still doing it. Forget I ever posted this thread, I could never part with my baby, we've been through thick and thin together (although sometimes I feel like rolling the bitch off a cliff). Cheers fellas.
  9. when you say buff, do you using your hand or a rotary buffer? For my headlights, I apply a light cutting compound and use a rotary buffer to buff any imperfections out, then I apply some wet look polish on them, they come out real nice after that.
  10. Just doesn't feel fast anymore, I remember when I used to get in my car first thing in the morning, warm it up and take it for a drive, it used to scare the sh!t out of me! It just doesn't satisfy my needs as a man hahaha, nah but seriously, once the boost kicks in, it's a really dull drive, its pushing out 22PSI but just feels like it doesn't pull like it used to. Maybe I need to go for a drive with someone with a T04z see what its like, anyone in the ACT got one?
  11. Sorry, it pulled out 363rwkw on the dyno, but it has timing pulled out of it after the tune. So if I were to put it on the dyno now without changing the timing, it would pull 340 rwkw, but yeh, the dyno run it pulled out 363 rwkw. I am just thinking, if I do end up getting the T04z, then Im just going to encounter more problems like gear box blow up, no traction etc...
  12. Yeah I figured I wouldn't get squat for my car.... Don't hate me, but I was thinking of getting a new XR6 Turbo... They just seem so easy to get power out of.... New car, can use it as a family car as well... I think I am just going through on of those weeks where my car just shits me to tears.....
  13. Hi Fellas, My car is a R33 GTS-T with the following: RB25/30 converstion forged pistons, rods etc. 256-260 cams Autronic SM4 ECU GT35R 0.82 turbo Nismo 740cc injectors Bosch 044 Fuel pump Plus your other supporting mods (exshaust front mount etc etc) My car is running about 340rwkw at the moment, feels nice to drive but just doesn't give me that thrill feeling anymore. I've been keeping a close watch on the T04Z vs GT35R thread thats been going around and I've been considering upgrading to a T04Z turbo. Do you guys think its worth upgrading (having to buy a new turbo, new manifold, make up new exhuast, and a new tune) - which will probably set me back about $5-$6K, or should I just sell my car. Getting pretty sick of it at the moment, just not as fun as it used to be. SO, is it worth upgrading, is there a significant difference?
  14. GTR running simular setup to yours at about 14 PSI pulled out 229 rwkw here in canberra.
  15. Mate, go for a drive up to QLD in a ute, it'll take you two days, once you get there, take all his shit and slog him a few.
  16. Harsh mate, I bet if you were in his boots you'd cry a river as well.
  17. Really Really. Sound is gone now it has bedded in. Best clutch ever.
  18. You're completely right mate, and you have a valid reason to be pissed off. You can contact your local fair trading and provide them with invoices etc, when it was paid, and details about the seller, they'll take care of it for you. Alternatively, you can take him to a small claims tribuneral for a small fee of $75 i think it is. Waiting 3 months for something like that is a joke. The seller should've made arrangements before they left.
