  1. hi Adrian hi just found this pic of yur turbo, i can see where you have ground down the comp cover a bit for clearance, but i cant really see the spacer? is it in that pic? cause the studs look like they are poking thru the flange/nuts, as much as my rb25 turbo? cheers http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Tu...;hl=ax53b70-p25
  2. thanks, like i say i want to do this job first time in one weekend, so thats great info. im getting everything the seller used to install in his 32 so it should come with a spacer etc, but i will check now. cheers
  3. so this spacer, i assume it comes in the apexi kit? if so are the studs in the factory exhaust manifold long enough to mount the apexi turbo & spacer?? cheers
  4. thanks, youve been very helpfull btw what boost level did you get 189 atwkw? was that with the ax53?
  5. thanks for your reply, yeah i saw yur thread looking for similar help. a spacer, yeah i just noticed my rb35 turb is just touching the stock mani heat sheild, so i was wondering about that.. did yours come with the apxi lines? if so does it connect to that water line at the back of the head? what about the other lines are they easy?
  6. i tried searching but cant find what im looking for im buying the apexi ax5370-p25 turbo kit that is advertised on here. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ap...-S-t226760.html it comes with all the lines etc i believe. its going to replace a rb25 turbo on my r32 rb20. if i decide to do the install myself its all got to go smoothly & be a 1 weekend job, so im looking to get some info on the oil & water lines before i start. where does the oil feed line from the top of the turbo go to on the block? is it easy to get to? i think i can see 1 water line go from the turbo to around the back of the head, looks to be a bit tight in there for room.. where does the other water line connect to from the turbo? is that one easy to get to? thanks
  7. yeah sounds like turbo. i would just degrease everything & keep an eye on it for now if you arent getting any other issues
  8. thanks for the reply. well its been on 250HP atw for 9 months or so, so the clutch is holding up well so far, im guna upgrade the turbo & would like an idea what its limit would be. regarding the stock rb25 turbo specs, im just curious. ive searched everywhere for the wheel diameters but no luck. cheers
  9. anyone know what wheel hp a new stock rb25 clutch will take with no launches? edit: ive been told after 300whp it will start slipping, sound about right? anyone know the o.d of the compressor (& maybe turbine) of a stock 25 turbo? an negative performance aspects of fitting a t25 flange (GT2871r) with an adaptor, to the stock t3 exhaust manifold? thanks
