  2. agreed! ive got a 535HP rated low mount internal gate turbo which will be going on my rb20. just gotta get the rest of the parts i need, afm & injectors.
  3. ok, my bad i thought per4manz the ITS/Garrett dealer here had closed down, but i was confusing it with formaz that did close down. anyway i took it to Grant at per4manz today & he said it is a T04E hybrid rated at 535HP, 76mm od comp wheel & 63mm od turbine. so im very happy with that, what a bargin! cheers
  4. wtd: T3/6 bolt split or bellmouth dump pipe. the type that is a bolt on replacement for the stock dump only interested in a quality part thanks sms pic/details to 0405 060 124
  5. get a gasket & take it to your local cnc profile cutters. ive had various types made that way before
  6. sorry no idea. i think a good highflow costs around 1700 tho & another (used) rb25 turbo is around $300
  7. ^ i thought the kkr needs a new dump, so not really a direct bolt on.
  8. does anyone know if the '60' in the name ITS 60-1 refers to the turbine exducer bore size? cause my exducer bore measures 60mm (or a bit more) thanks
  9. yeah around 2.8k new is very pricey, glad i didnt pay anything like that
  10. agreed 48 seems small but it must have a reasonable size wheel in it since the exducer is about 61mm, (hks gtrs 47mm) the inducer might be 66?? (hks gtrs 54)
  11. no i havent contacted uas, the thought of ringing them up & saying 'i have a its turbo here can you tell me something about it', when im not going to give them any business, just thought d be wasting their time? as for performanz here in perth i thought they closed down ages ago yes the rear a/r is 48, what size is the rear wheel or exducer bore on yur gt30?
  12. hi ive just recieved the turbo from the links below & its a rather scary looking unit the exducer bore is about 60 or 61mm so the major diameter of the turbine must be around 65mm?? & the rear A/R is 48. the minor diameter of the compressor wheel is about 58mm thats about all i know about it. i would like a bit of an idea what its rated at, going by those numbers it seems quite a bit bigger than a hks gtrs, so maybe it would be around 450hp??? i realise its not going to be resposive lol thanks http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Fs...mp;hl=its+turbo http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Tu...mp;hl=its+turbo
  13. as above, internal gate & spins freely with minor shaft play
  14. maybe, but his first issue seems to be the gate is opening to early. no exhaust manifold leaks?
  15. i may have the wrong end of the stick here, but if the flap is not opening enough it will cause higher boost/boost creep & his issue is the opposite. could be possible the flap is hitting something & not closing properly i spose
  16. the only thing that worries me there is the compressor surge issue.. ahh well might have to keep looking thanks BHDave
  17. if you wouldnt mind that would be awesome, the turbo is quite cheap & good condition so i will put up with some expense & hassle. thanks
  18. buying your turbo was allways dependent on what was included (this has suddenly changed to my surprise) & an inspecton (ie, me looking at it, which i did today), so do you really want me to answer that here?
  19. im thinking of getting a hks gtrs turbo, problem is its t25 off a sr20 would this be much of a mission to fit to a stockish rb20? i would assume a t25 to t3 adapter would do the trick? are they any good? any recomendations please. what about the actuator bracket? cause i would need to rotate the comp housing how hard would it be to get that to work? any other issues? i know i have to sort the dump & inlet but thats easy thanks
  20. oh yeah my o2 gauge seems to verify the good afr's i got on the dyno
  21. mine does something similar as well, but im not sure why.. its a low/dull sort of pop after a gear change. i dont think i have a exhaust leak anyhwere, not running a bov at all or a cat & safc tune is perfect. sounds good imo, but ive got no idea if it makin flames tho
  22. he lives in japan so are these reflash options really viable? can he send them his ecu & they modify it & flash a generic tune to suit his mods? i would have thought a live/real time tune was the only type worth having
  23. yeah the surge tank is a bit of overkill but it & the pump were installed by the previous owner when the car had a different motor. this setup is very responsive with sfa lag imo & i wouldnt run anything else but a decent fmic. it has custom cooler pipes & the cold side pipe (after the cooler) is fairly short compared to some setups ive seen. anyway i dont mind a bit of lag especially if you can run say 20psi & have a real good hit of power. the safc was put on by a previous owner cause when he bought the car it had been bought back to pretty much stock. it was running autronics & hks turbo etc before he bought it. the car is making reasonable power with its basic mods & a lot of that is probably due to the safc. im going for a nistune flash instead of a new complete ecu cause they are only about 800 bux tuned & do the job i believe. the turbo thats going on is a s/hand (6 months old) Apexi AX53B70 P-25, its a bit smaller than i probably would have liked but for $1000 for the complete apexi kit (turbo, dump, braided lines, etc) it was pretty hard to pass up. cheers
  24. Thanks Mark, that is great info! wow the rb25 turbo is alot bigger than i thought, 67mm comp wheel. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&id=143281 this has been bugging me for months, not knowing some basic sizes for it. just hope my apexi turbo im fitting soon is a big enough upgrade :| cheers
  25. just out of interest i would like to find the specs for the rb25 turbo. comp wheel outside diameter mainly (60mm??) but any others you know would be great as well. yes ive tried searching & googling quite a few times but cant seem to narrow the search down or find anything. thanks
