I'm also fitting my brake upgrade and ISC coilovers this weekend (as well as the rear lip. So while the wheels are off, I'll see to mounting the rear lip and back of the skirts properly. Then next weekend its at MV Auto for the shift kit and gearbox service.
Can't wait to take piccies!
Yep. Together with the Lukey resonator, its a nice sounding system ... without upsetting the police
You can really hear how tough it is on boost tho
I'll take pics tonite if I can temp fit the lip. I'll do a proper job on the weekend, and will wash the dirty bitch and take better pics
19 years on a bike for me mate. I rarely get caught speeding and can't remember the last time I had a car crash. I scan, scan, scan everything. I can usually pick the stupid drivers in the traffic before they've made their stupid move.
I'm always cautious on where and when I give my cars or bikes a squirt. I must be doing something right!
Track days ftmfw
They are coilovers, so they are adjustable in height and dampening.
I've had a fair bit of interest in this, so first in , best dressed.
Update: I get my ISC coilovers today, so the Ohlins set will be removed this weekend, if not tomorrow night.
1. The Ohlins is a little too stiff for me. Adelaide is full of potholes and bad road works. I'm sick of the roads more than the suspension really.
Pic ...
About 350mm front and rear.
2. The Ohlins are in good condition. I won't say excellent. They don't leak, but they are filthy with road crap. I fitted them after purchasing them from JMS for twice as much. Only done about 6,000kms with me.
3. They are currently on an S2 Stagea. Had an engineer redo the rear hats to fit.
4. Ride height I have set for my stag is about 350mm front and rear.
I'll also be going thru Melbourne next week if you're keen and want to save on shipping.
Of what? Cannons or Ohlins ... or both
The shocks are still in the Stagea until I get my ISC stuff this week (swapping this weekend). But I can crawl under the stag and get a pic. They're a bit too stiff for me and I just want something different (and blue to match some detail), but JMS charge $500 for rear Tein alone, so selling for $500 for both Ohlins for quick-ish sale.
True. But people like to twist an argument to benefit them, so this thread ain't dead yet
This is the most stupidest idea I've heard yet
Speeding does kill ... its killed quite a few wallets lately.
FOR SALE
Ohlins coilovers. Rears are modded to fit Stagea. $500
Twin 5" cannons and Y piece for 3" exhaust system ... as seen on my Stagea. I'm fitting another muffler tomorrow, so its coming off then.
Looks tough, sounds tough. $80
Ruby
Modified Ohlins suspension from R33 to fit Stagea RS4
Has bottom eye mount points on all 4 corners. Fit to my Stagea easy (easy swap to do with jack/hoist). Replacing Ohlins with newer ISC coilovers, so no longer wanted.
$500 (not inc postage) prefer local pickup
Thanks for the heads up on the paint. I ride up there often.
Some 3-4 years ago the cops were all over Eagle. They tried to make us bikers "go away" at the request/complaints of the residents, but we remained persistent. We ended up reporting the residents in the area for tipping oil on the road, putting fish hooks on the guard rail (where we would sit), and they even went as far as standing in the middle of the road shining spotties at us as we rode up/down the road. We got the cops onto them and there was a 3 month monitoring of the area. The residents committed 42 traffic offences in that time, but motorcyclists were only report once! The cops wised up and left us alone. I really have not been bother by cops on that road in years.
I'm not surprised it'd be a resident(s) in the area.
