  1. I dunno ... You've seen the movie "Alien" or "Aliens" haven't you?
  2. Welcome ... from another Stag owner Another red one, with a Days body kit by the looks of it. Now get to work on the mods
  3. Link then? Share ...
  4. I'm aware of that you nitwit I'm just wanting to remove the tree. This weekend we're going to organise delivery of the pool. Then I was going to harrass you into giving us a hand I was just going to politely wait for a suitable time when you and Nene are having a better week.
  5. Thanks Pete, I'm keen on borrowing that chainsaw. You'll get it in better condition than how you lent it out I think the missus has something on Friday night, so I'll get back to you on a time/place to collect. Also interested in that mate of yours. Its a small job to skim about 10cm of turf from our back yard in an area approx 8m x 4m. I'm installing a pool which has T-bone type wall supports which are hidden the surface (hence the 10cm skimming).
  6. Its a process of elimination then! Knock off the list what it could be, until you find what it is!
  7. Twin cannons ... $80 for quick sale
  8. What? You mean you're not a bloke?
  9. Nothing of the sort that I can find.
  10. Hoping to avoid having to hire one. Done so before and its expensive and the equipment breaks down. I've got 3 trees to remove from my property, but I need to remove one tree now to put in my order for the pool, then hire a bobcat (to prepare the area for the pool). If I can save a few $ by borrowing one, I'd be happy! You got a problem with my whoring?
  11. No, I'm not going to 'visit' someone I need to remove an almond tree in the corner of my yard before I can install my pool. Wanna hack it down this weekend, so if anyone in Adelaide has one I can borrow, I'd be happy. I've used chainsaws many times, so I'm not about to lopp off a limb. Plus I'll have the blades sharpened upon return, so you have it returned in better condition than borrowed. Anyone?
  12. Still whoring it up I see
  13. I almost ran over a bunch of those stupid fans last night
  14. ADRs apply Australia-wide ... all states. Thats why we have ADRs. But if cop doesn't like you, then he'll 'guess' it doesn't meet ADRs.
  15. It is rare that 4th gear problems would be the result of a bent selector fork. Thats normally a sign of 2nd gear abuse (wheelies, drag racing etc). can you give me a better description of the problem. Is the 'jolting' in a given rev range (maybe a tuning problem) in 4th or might even be a output gear thrust bearing problem ... could be anything really. Does it jump out of gear? = bent selector and worn gears. In any case, you'd want a gearbox lined up and selectors too, before starting the swap. I did the job to my brother's ZXR (he had no 2nd gear whatsoever), my old Honda and a mate's TLR (big v-twins chew sprockets then gearboxes)
  16. The Brutale is not set up for track use, so no way could it do even 215kph thru the kink. The GSXR can, but not the Brute. The Brute could only honestly handle 195-200kph before it would 'wallow' thru the turn. My GSXR is better set up for cornering at higher speeds. I don't think even the superbikes can do over 240kph thru the kink. Fact of the matter is cars and bikes accelerate and corner differently. i just made a smart arse comment about bikes vs cars thru the kink, and now its turning into a fight for ownership of turn 4. Meh, I know what my GSXR can do, I'll leave it at that.
  17. I've been rebuilding/modding bikes for 19 years. Not qualified, but never had one blow up on me. Build my own race bike and swapped many gearboxes, including a clapped out ZXR750. Might know of a few guys if you want someone qualified. Just need to check who's still in the industry.
  18. Pics? ... of the car of course
  19. So he can continue to drive his car in the interim.
  20. If this can coincide at all with a track day at Phillip Island I'd be very interested in tagging along. I'll bring the race bike along and do a Friday or Monday track day at either end of the weekend. Maybe a few of you could come down for the day also and see the Island.
  21. Adelaide Wheel and Rim quoted me heaps to do a simple rim job for my race bike a year ago, then turned around a week later when I checked up on it and said it couldn't be repaired. So I walked across the road to Extensive Wheel Service who did the job cheaper than AWRs quote and got it straight The guy who runs EWS use to work for AWR and left due to poor service. The guy at EWS is more than happy to beat AWRs quotes.
  22. Can I come too?
  23. But drifting is fully sik bro
  24. I might be out ... but if the weather is nice, I'll be on the bike Went for a ride yesterday with Kell on the back for my last day off before going back to work. Wasn't too bad for a ride.
  25. So what One dumb cop for every smart Skyline owner? The odds still favour them. Play it smart. Be smart when modding your car. Be polite and take it on the chin when you get caught. I keep a small folder in my car with a copy/receipt of all the work done to it and copies of ADRs which apply to my car, so I can prove the Stagea is roadworthy. Any mods which are debateable are kept discrete. So far ... Cops 0 - Ruby 4
