  2. Pic of me and Tracy working in the pits in one of the rare 'quiet' moments ... More pics to follow ... when we download them
  3. I know how paypal works ... but its never accepted any of my ACCU cards. I've since only dealt with cash or bank transfer transactions, but this was a paypal transaction I got into before I was aware of it.
  4. Hey Damo, thanks man, we might drop by tonite ... if thats okay. Tracy and I have been to PI and we've both been knackered LOL I just need to paypal $25 USD or so ... was meant to be done before I left for the MotoGP, but oh well. I'll have the cash with me tonite to reimburse you, if you're available.
  5. Thanks guys ... an awesome opportunity indeed. Out of the 30 odd race officials I worked with, it was me who got pulled aside and offered the position. I'm calling the guy I need to speak to again tonight to get some more details mailed out to me. Need to understand what my job description entails completely. I just don't want to f**k it up I'll be given more power and responsibility ... I'll try to use it for 'good'
  6. I got introduced to a cousin a never knew i had. He gave me info on my older brother who was in the forces. After a few months of gaining their trust, they gave me my brother and fathers address and I made contact.
  7. Yep Didn't everyone know? Go two wheels, gain some balls
  8. Does anyone have a paypal account they can help with me transferring a payment for an ebay item. I thought the seller had bank details, but he does not ... and he's in the US.
  9. Yeah, damn those cops that catch you breaking the law Obviously the cops have done their homework on whats legal and not on a car. Do we do our homework on what we should fit to our car (or how to be discrete in fitting it) before coughing up the $ before doing the mod? No, we'd rather have a cry about it on the SAU forum. The cops are getting smarter ... we're not. Simple.
  10. Good luck mate. Went hunting for my father years ago ... found him, but didnt turn out too well.
  11. Looking at it, I would say it uses GPS tracking technology. 210kph thru the kink? Too bad, just 15kph shy of what my bike can do
  12. Hiya all, back from 'sunny' Phillip Island. The MotoGP was awesome. Met Eric Bana and Mark Webber Been away since last Wednesday ... what did I miss?
  13. Hey babe. Do I have some stories to tell you! Kell is still here. We're just shooting out for booze
  14. Well, Kell and I took the Brutale out for a ride to the Bay for a late lunch.
  15. Umm ... no!
  16. I should also add ... there is also an opportunity for me to be part of a team of race officials to assist with marshalling at the Isle of Man TT in the UK. I'm thinking about it. I wanna see an IOMTT one day, but not sure how I'd go about working there. Think I'd rather be a tourist if I was to pay to fly there. The Malaysian MotoGP also employed a team of 50 aussie race officials this year to 'teach' them how to run a successful GP. I will be notified by mail if/when another team is required to fly over to help run the event. I better start putting some money aside
  17. I'm home from the MotoGP weekend. Woohoo what fun! For those who don't know, I'm a race official at the MotoGP and this was my 7th year working as a race official in the paddock area. My job basically encompasses supervising the rookies, ensuring access roads are clear for medical and media personnel, and calling in recovery vehicles for crashed riders. This year, I was given the opportunity to 'observe' in the flag towers and assist the track officials in getting crashed bikes/riders off the track quickly. However, I was pulled off the track wall and replaced by a team of fat, asthmatic, older guys who were not physically able bodied. They whinged enough and got given the chance, and I took it personally, given the walkie talkie and put back to supervising recovery at turns 4 and 5. Having been my 7th year and quite fit, yet rookies were given the better jobs. I was ready to quit and tell my senior race leader I wouldnt return next year. But apparently, he and my chief marshall had something in mind for me ... On the Sunday race day, me and a small team were given the opportunity to work in pit lane. Yes, pit lane. Chris Vermulen almost ran over my foot Thats how close I was to the action. I made sure Tracy came with me and had the chance to smell the fumes with me. But despite being a kid in a candy shop, I did my job and apparently people were watching me ... After race day, my team leader pulled me aside and offered me to run my own team of officials at next years Phillip Island round of the V8 Super Cars. I will be managing an entire garage/team on their practice and race day pit stops and ensuring they follow all race regulations. Basically, the team cannot release the car from the pits without my okay. I can also disqualify a car/team for any breaches of rules for pit stops, tyre changes, fuel rationing etc. Naturally, I said yes to the offer. My leader told me they have been impressed with my professional attitude at the MotoGP for the past 7 years and need someone like me to manage the pits next year. I'm excited and f**king nervous at the same time! Well, pics are to come once I can download them. I've got pics to show off of me with Eric Bana, Mark Webber, Mick Doohan, Gardner, Randy Mamola and a few others!
  18. You trying to take over Madaz's job
  19. The cops at Sturt cop shop are f**king useless!
  20. Just tell him to buy one from interstate then and drive it over. Stop being a whimp I bought both my Stageas from interstate.
  21. Hey Amanda, hope the appointments all go well and its smooth sailing for you ... then after the crying bubs is born, all hell will break loose and you'll get no sleep Listen to the advice of legal aid. They'll keep you on track. Disregard what any of the exes mates say to you. They're obviously full of it. How is it any different to you guys whinging about ex girlfriends? She just happens to be a single mum now because of a break up. If she wants to talk about it, she's initiated it, and she's the primary person involved in all this.
  22. I'd NEVER get into my house if I locked myself out. Home security is quite good Might need to get a key cut and stash it and my mum's (who rents my other house around the corner), just in case!
  23. Maybe its time to write off some vandals
  24. Speedy recovery to her. Hope there really isn't that much damage
  25. Its a simple process of elimination ... fix all the obvious points, and eventually you'll find the problem. It will also save you some labour time with the mechanics when you can tell them what the problem is not.
