  1. Its 10.55 and I should be in bed having sex! 'night! Thought I'd share that with ya!
  2. This is why I do alot of my own work. I have the knowledge and the tools. My old man was the head mechanic on the Datsun rally team in the 70s and avid motorcycle racer. My uncle a drag racer. I'd like to think I've been brought up right around mad-scientist-machinery. I know a ring spanner from a blow torch, so I do my own work when I can't trust anyone with my ride.
  3. Aw that sucks the big one! Hope the thieving bastards burn in hell as karma. If we all hear anyone bragging about it, we'd be sure to dob them in. Torching a Stagea is like torching ya mama! Something that you should not do. Death is too good for them.
  4. Beat me to it Lee ^^^ What Lee said. I found out the hard way that squeezing a CA18DET into a 510 ruins it being a classic
  5. So ... are we still meeting 8pm the usual spot?
  6. You won't get your $113 back sorry On the bright side, they're now installing a TV in their reception area for porn movies ... ... so you can watch someone else getting f**ked over, while you're getting f**ked over.
  7. Isn't this a Myspace quiz question?

    Bike

The local forums just don't cut it. Too low member numbers and general rubbish talk. I've been a member of TLZone since 7 years ago, but that one is worldwide, but lots of local boys. It now boasts over 15,000 members and Good tech talk. Surely any worldwide bike forums will have an SA section?
  9. I love the Aprilia RS range!!! That RS125 doesn't look half bad at all. They top out at 165kph, but you're not going to do that on the streets anyway. They handle excellent, and the braking ability is awesome with Brembos, no other 125 or 250s (except the RS) would come close. Red book value has it at $4300 to $5100 depending on kms, and at the advertised price of $4500 its looking good value for money. Things to look out for are service history, regular oil changes, condition of powervalves, oil pump condition/level, fork condition and the usual worn tyres and body rashing. I'd prefer to see Dunlop GPR70 rubber on it, but they discontinued them a year or so ago, so it might not have them. The replacement for the GPR70 was the GPRa10. These tyres really suit this kind of pocket rocket. Take the cost of new rubber in mind when viewing this bike and negotiating. If you want someone there to help eyeball it and test ride it for you, I can make myself available ... seriously, not in for a joy ride. I know these bikes pretty well. Heck, if you don't buy it, I just might Buy my GSXR race bike for $5K so I can buy this thing
  10. Ha. I travel to Melbourne all the time. No skin off my nose. Its only 8 hours by bike. I'll be sure to be reimbursed for my fuel expenses too. Shits me people who think they can get away with this and no one will bother chasing them for it. Silly people who think that about me.
  11. I've raced an RS250 around the track (including Phillip Island) and track day with a VFR400 and they're lots of fun. Not as fast, but far much more fun! Yeah, the rush of lapping the track on a bike is uncomparable to anything else ... maybe even sex I knew she was joking ... to a point. She was swell about it. Even encouraged me to get it out of my system. She was there where I crashed at the start of the year and broke my shoulder, and was there all the way through the rehab/physio, so she's been totally swell about it. BTW, the other guys in the pics above are on 1000ccs. Goes to show that a 600 is better suited to the Mallala circuit. Carries better entry and exit speed.
  12. It feels 100%. But I'm still out of racing for the rest of the year. Track days only for me Feels fit and good, but wouldn't want to crash in any case
  13. Got out on the weekend to blow away the cobwebs since my crash and broken shoulder. I'm off the pace a bit by 2.5seconds (normally 1m17s), but it felt good to be carving up the slower guys Up front and "in the groove" Passing a slower rider (and pulling a gap on the guy behind) Next turn Did I lose them? Now for the slower guys again It was funny because my GF was freaking out ... worried I'd crash and injure myself again! She even imposed a rule: Crash and break any bones, and its no sex for a year! I'll blame her for my 2.5 second loss
  14. I've got his mobile number, and some business details of his. I'm tracking him down as we speak, and I'll be in Melbourne soon, so I'll be paying him a visit. In the meantime, I'm contacting my bank tomorrow to reverse the transaction. It'll incurr me a fee, but I'll get reimbursed don't worry about that! Edit: Yes he was only a new member etc, but I jumped on the offer too quickly and didn't take notice. I will next time.
  15. Those "Baby Blades" are rubbish bikes. I still can't believe people spend $7K for them and they already 15 years old when they hit our shores! Spend $9K and get a real 250, like the Aprilia RS250! Or a real Honda like a VFR400 or RVF400. My old RS250 race bike was madness ... capable of 190kph easy around Mallala with 1 more gear to go. I miss it so much, I'm keen to buy another RS soon.

    Ripped Off!

Hi guys, I paid for an Apexi SAFC2 off a member here called "chrome-specialist". This member has not delivered me the SAFC2. He keeps bullshitting me about sending it this week, then next week, then next week. Its been like 4 weeks now and I'm sick of his lies. Does anyone know who this guy is and where his business in Melbourne (I assume) is located? I'll be paying him a visit. Chrome-specialist, if you're reading this, you better contact me asap or refund my money asap. I'm not fooling around.
  17. Not a proper trader. He PMed me when I expressed an interest in 'wanting' an SAFC. I've reported him, but I haven't seen anything done to help me out. I'm going to Melbourne soon, so I'd like to pay this guy a visit.

  19. Hmm, I was driving up and down Grand Junction to St Agnes that day, but not on NE road. My plates are RRS250 anyway
  20. I'll keep my eye open for it too. If I see it, I'll get some justice in for ya too
  21. And are we putting this average street rider with a stock bike against an average driver with an average car? Or is it only the Skyline driver with the sticky tyres and boost allowed to have the advantage? Only recently they pit a worked Monaro against a stock Triumph 675 at Phillip Island, and the Triumph won! And we don't consider the Triumph anywhere near a match for something like a CBR or R1 or ZX10 or GSXR.
  22. True. Half the reason fuel goes up is because stupid idiots run around claiming "fuel will be $X.XX by such-such time". Then the fuel companies work together and jack it up, because we're "expecting" it to. Okay, I'm going to try and work it the other way. "Fuel will be $1.25 by the end of the year"
  23. Riiiiiiiight! Hmm, thats what we hear the wishful drifters say all the time after our daytime track sessions. A CBR1000R with slicks ridden by a decent A/B class racer = 1m07s C/D class racer semi-slicks = 1m14s V8 Supercar driver = 1m08s Production car racers = 1m24s And the average joe in his skyline is also running around those 1m24s times. 10 seconds is alot when it comes to the track.
