  1. I run my Satnav to get an accurate speed reading, even tho nothing is wrong with my speedo. My speedo is only 1-2kph over according to my Satnav. BTW I have a window that won't wind up properly. If I boost it and speed down a neighbourhood street, will that fix it? :laughing-smiley-014:
  2. That leaves me out then!
  3. You can, and do win. I've debated with cops over traffic/defect matters and gotten off. Its how you do it, and how smart you are in getting your point across. I think this is developing into a sad world: where you try to do the right thing by the cops (engineers certificate/racing or drifting at the race track), yet they will still go out of their way to nick you anyway. There's our reward for doing the right thing. Then on the other side of the coin, you get people who just give up and don't even try to debate the point. When you're busted fair and square speeding or whatever, yeah cop it sweet and pay the fine. But when you know you're being nicked for no reason at all, don't lie down.
  4. Thanks to all who came. It was a pleasant cruise indeed. My apologies to those who tried to make contact via PM for further info. My PC could not access SAU on the weekend, and I was a bit shitty this occured and hoping people had enough info to start with to meet at the meet point. Did anyone else have difficulty accessing SAU or was it just me Again, my apologies to those who tried, but missed out. Next time, I'll make the practice of collecting mobile numbers Special apologies to you Tristan as you did some major running around to catch us. Still good to see you at Whalers Inn. Next time will be a much better planned cruise. It was excellent to get out and meet some more Stagea owners and take a peek at their pristine Stags. We certainly turned a few heads. Which is what we set out to do.
  5. Good call Adam And it was good to catch a few of yas at vilis last night. Sorry I had to love youse and leave youse. Went for a ride way down south and there were shit loads of cops about.
  6. I look forward to seeing your Stag also. The more stageas the better the cruise will be.
  7. Or do what I do. Get an engineers certificate. Like I do for most of my project cars. Cops generally leave you alone when you have too much paperwork to give them a headache. Except for the time I got defect outside AIR. Showed the traffic cops my Engineers Cert and they still defect me for tyres (90% tread) because they couldn't touch anything else. Had to go for something piss weak. Got the defect off next day at the local cop shop when I complained about the unfairness ... the sergeant agreed with me. No charge.
  8. Yeah, well, I don't think he was actually a cop. Impersonator. Well, if we're done generalising the generalised community and the general population, then we can generally get on with talking cars in general.
  9. Not being paranoid as much, as protecting our arses! Your profile had bugger all info, so I could only make my judgement off those details.
  10. ^^^ I'm with Sled. Could we kindly have your badge number and name please. We'd love to correspond with you to discuss how the import drivers can be better viewed in the eyes of the law. Unless of course you are not. In which case one of the Mods could give your IP address to the real police and you'll be in the shits for impersonating a police officer.
  11. Thats a very strong statement you've made there. You obviously have accurate statistical proof to back this statement up? Show me the data which has logged the number of import cars caught speeding and how it was matched against the total number of import cars in SA. Then we'll see if "most" import drivers are indeed committing any offence. What is your opinion of "erratic"? Did you stop and charge these offenders if they were indeed speeding? As the police have informed me in the past: its hearsay. You said they did. Thats as far as it goes. I see cops all the time talking on mobiles. Now that doesn't show much for the rest of the police force does it. Shall I generalise you any further? Again, was he caught and charged. Again, this is hearsay. Don't bother wasting your time, or ours. Why don't you catch the car hoons drag racing up and down Anzac Highway, rather than bothering the car enthusiasts.
  12. I keep spotting the same S14 200SX on West Terrace 2-3 mornings a week. Everytime they see me they start driving like a twat in a bid to impress me. They're too stupid to realise I'm not interested and don't care. Also, spotted gunmetal grey R33 on Glen Osmond Road at lunchtime with custom plates (gold on black). Nice 33.
  13. I'll be on the bike. Might swing by to show off the Brutale!
  14. Attention Kell, Steve or anyone for that matter ... New member going by the name of Dazza88 who is enquiring about cruises and meeting spots is a suspected cop. No posts, no personal details, no profile details. Clearly they haven't worked out the difference in "car hoons" and "car enthusiasts" ... we're just wallets on wheels to them regardless. If you get a PM like I did, send them to some Commonwhore cruise
  15. Piggy piggy piggy!

  16. Seems even the cops want to join us on our cruise! Enquiry from a NEW member. Joined today 9.56am. PMed me for details @ 10.13am. No details whatsoever. No posts. No brains! Yeah, I'm sure you'd like to meet other stag owners ... for the wrong reasons. Nice try Move along now, there's nothing to see here. Although there is a Commonwhore cruise on the Sunday if you wanna catch the real trouble makers! Or do you just want the revenue?
  17. A clubman-type kit car. I remember Craig Williams from Maddat use to assist with putting them together, including fitting SR20DETs into them. Wouldn't be surprised if its one of his.
  18. The same fools sticking speed cameras up everywhere (in "black spots" *wank-wank*) and deciding what motor events to hit with defect stations.
  19. The weather has been nice enough to get out on my bikes. Though I do drive the black Stag more often, closely followed by the silver Stag in useage. Although my GF pretty much decides what I'm driving/riding for the day: "Baby, can I drive the black stag tomorrow and you take Cam to school on the Brutale?" I'm not that bad!
  20. As far as I know, they've banned the use of mobile phones COMPLETELY in cars ... hands free or not. Mind you in the past week, I've seen countless cops chatting away on their phones. I even gave one cop the "hang up" hand signal. He just glared at me as he drove off. So who's policing the police?
  21. Lets hope so. You got another driver just in case? Just heard from the workshop that my silver Stag won't be ready until Wednesday, so I'll only have my black Stag out Grim and Nene have also said they may not come, and I haven't heard back from Donna!
  22. Yep. I reckon we play it by ear. I can't speak for the appetite of others, but we've given them the option anyway. I've even given the cruisers an option on the return way home ... the quick way or the scenic way, depending on people's moods and fuel consumption All info and maps will be handed out on the day.
  23. Nah, he came over to talk about buying my silver Stagea (not the black one sorry if I fooled yas) and we got into talking about some of the guys we ride with, and then drinking a bit. But he loooooves the Stag.
