I'd be happy to go take a look. My Stag is in bits at the moment and I doubt it'll be finished in time.
-
What the hell is going on with my Stagea? What on earth am I up to?!
-
Poo! I went to fit my Slide stage 2 turbo today. I need some braided lines made up. Looks like the Stag is off the road for a while. Good thing I have two stags then

Man, am I going to be busy next week. I've got 4 CAD projects to start and complete ... a Locality Survey for ETSA to draw up in CAD ... not to mention a MYOB Audit and new file creation in preparation for the new financial year ... then there's the EOY tax time shit and bonus calculations to work out for our consultants! And I'm squeezing in a trip interstate soon. Good thing they pay me well ... I'll need alot of booze to get thru the week!
-
^^^ Me too! I'm thinking of mildly dressing up the engine bay, but keeping it looking stock.

They're still just lowering speed limits all over Adelaide and sticking speed cameras there with the intention of catching out 'unobservant drivers'. Not 'speeding drivers', but 'unobservant drivers'. I don't care what they call it, its REVENUE RAISING plain and simple. They don't really want us to be safer drivers, because when we do slow down and their revenue drops, they start lowering speed limits again and sticking cameras everywhere. They WANT us to be criminals. If we don't, they work out strategies to increase the number of speeding drivers. Remember the introduction of the bullshit 50kph limit? They introduced that one when revenue was declining!

I shot you a PM about the bleed valve nearly a week ago. Didn't you get my PM? -
It'd be nice to see a Stag in there too.

I still remember what 24/7 pain felt like for 3+ months. Thats bad enough ... so I have sincere pity for ya dude. I wake up sometimes with pains in my shoulder after breaking it earlier this year. Bones are heales, but its mostly ligament and muscle repair needed. I know the pain will diminish eventually. I was working with the weights last night, which explains the early morning pains/discomfort keeping me awake ... but they don't call it rehab for nothing! The pain will pass and I'll get the strength back again. Then again, the surgeons and physio guys all said it was my fitness and health that helped me cope with the injury and heal so much quicker. I was using the arm again after 4 weeks (not 6-8) and had strength back after 6 weeks (not up to 3 months), and I'm back on the weights after 4 months (not 6-12 months). Not trying to brag mate, but I'm so happy I'm one of those fast healers. 6 years ago I broke and dislocated my right leg from the hip when I t-boned a car which failed to give way. Also suffered some head injuries and loss of memory ... together with lots of bruising and bashing. Took me 6 months to walk again and over a year to jog/run again. And that is WITH protective riding gear. Can't imagine what would have happened if I rode in t-shirts and jeans like all the other fools do! I know its no consolation for you, but we've all got problems one form or another when we hit 30+ I know how you feel, even in the smallest way. Its not so much the injury/handicap, but the loss of lifestyle/activities that shits ya. Thats always my motivation to move forward with my recovery of any injury. BTW, when do ya hear how the dyno session is going?

Sweet. I lived in Japan for a bit and brought back a few items Got an authentic Japanese doll too for the (ex)wife that beats the crap they pass off as authentic here. Wish I'd kept the bloody thing instead of letting the ex take it. If you ever wanna check out the history of some samurai's and a musuem for swords, pay Miyazaki and Takanabe a visit on the Kyushu island. Very interesting stuff

Ha. Security at HQ2 are thick enough. Standing next to one of them loses me some IQ. They're like cryptonite for stupidness.
-
Its had a fair whack! Check out the buckling between the wheel arch and the door. That'll take a fair bit of work!
-
I'm doing a turbo swap, so the Stag won't be tagging along ... as much as I like to see some track action. I might shot out on the bike if I've got time.
-
^^^ Agreed. Strip joints are cheesy and lame. Internet porn is free!
-
Don't like the crowd, pull into the pit and re-enter the track with a decent gap to play with.
-
It is! When the engine is not in the car!

What you have then sounds like a Wakizashi, not a Katana. Although that sounds a tad expensive for even a Wakizashi. A Tanto is a very short sword (like an assasins dagger). Basically a Katana is approx 40 inches, a Wakizashi is 25 inches, and Tanto is 14 inches. Samurai would wear the Katana and Wakizashi on their hip, and have the Tanto concealed for close combat ... or to commit Sepuku! Got pics?

I collect swords myself and I've got a few in my collection. I've also got some books on the anatomy of a katana. From the pics it looks real. The sharpening of the blade looks authentic, but in today's society it can be copied. Sorry, just stating facts. Most sword makers stamp their name on the inside of the blade under the handle. But that requires dismantling of the sword to prove. Despite my knowledge, I personally wouldn't trust myself disassembling/assembling one, if it is the real deal. GTR32X, did you import the sword as a live blade, or blunt. The sharpening of the sword will be one of the key factors in its true value. Can you provide more detailed pics of the handle, hilt work, the scabbard, the very tip of the sword, and the sword maker's logo. I could trace its origins and help you prove authentication. You're advertising in the wrong area for this dude. Too many immature kids here who shouldn't have themselves a butter knife let alone a sword. I'd love to buy it myself, but I'd need to free up some cash (too many investments right now). If its not sold by late July/early August, I'd love to view and inspect it myself, and I'd be keen to purchase! I'm quite serious if its real. I'll fly over just to see it. I've got two katanas which I keep hidden away. One is live and the other had been bluntened for importing (I brought this one back myself 9 years ago). It was a shame to see a beautiful sword blunted. The 'live' blade I had imported thru my Shihan. A 3rd authentic sword would compliment my collection. I've also got an authentic set of nunchaku, sai and kali sticks. None of those cheap martial art shop copies!

Another reason why I'm in no hurry to fit it just yet. No SAFC to tune it. No SAFC from this guy, but I will be refunded.
-
Rodney Jane mags. I have the 'machined' look ones on my Stag.
-
Nah, not yet. I'm lazy. I need a braided line made up, so gotta pull the Stag to bits for a week or so Might be going interstate this weekend anyway. Taking the Brutale for a long highway cruise if things work out this week. Be a good time to get a few other items fitted to the Stag too. Then the S1 silver Stagea needs some lovin', recon turbo, waterpump and timing belt.

There you have it ^^^ Once less stop for my Melbourne trip
