  1. There will be an opportunity for fuel stops at 3 stages along the route. I've broken the drive up into 3 stages with fuel stops at the end of each stage. Basically, about 50 minute drive from meet point for first stage, about 1 hour drive for stage 2, and the 1.5 hour run home for the final stage 3. It'll be about a 230km round trip. However, the drive back (stage 3) has 2 options depending on people's mood for the day. I'll give everyone a vote at the meet point on the day. BTW does anyone have, or can get their hands on, 2 walkie talkies with a decent range? I'd like the lead stag and tail stag to have them so we can manage keeping the group together ... but shouldn't be hard anyway given the route I've chosen. My idea of a cruise is we all drive about 10kph under the speed limit. Give fallen drivers the chance to catch up, and also take our time cruising past places to give spectators a better look at the mighty Stagea. As a bonus, theres also little risk of speeding fines
  2. We all love ya too!
  3. Yeah ... umm ... sure What issue? The piping is miles above the legal 100mm minumum clearance.
  4. Here's an idea. Have a sticker made up of your SAU username, as well as the SAU sticker on your windscreen?
  5. Toner I assume and not inkjet. Might be interesting if it rains Good idea tho Lets do it!
  6. Then come out the following Saturday (7th June) and watch me cut a few laps on the GSXR race bike
  7. I think you mean 335mm and 345mm? 235mm and 245mm are way too low dude
  8. Yeah. About 345mm for the front give or take. I've been told rear just needs to sit level with the front (given that rear guards are lower to front anyway). And ultimately, you need 100mm clearance from any part of your car, to the ground (with the exception of wheels of course). Someone else my shed more light on this.
  9. He said petrol companies, not oil companies
  10. Yeah, love it when idiots pretend to know more than they do. Perhaps they should stfu and learn a thing or two before opening their mouths!
  11. I have my own mig welder, so I've done it all myself. Just bought the bends from Adelaide Discount Mufflers. I was hoping to handball the job to someone else, couldn't be arsed doing it, but did it myself to save $600
  12. I'll be there Waiting at my desk, getting excited each time a courier/postal worker comes in ... I'm waiting for a few "packages"
  13. When ... ... I get my Slide stage 2 hi flow fitted ... I get my SAFC2 fitted ... I get the Stag dynoed and serviced ... I get the 4 pot calipers fitted ... I get the Splitfire coil packs fitted ... I fit my new Ohlins coilovers Then for the silver Stag ... ... turbo swap and fitment of dump pipe ... removal of suspension and fitment of Ohlins coilovers ... get Stag serviced Thats just the cars, next (to keep GF happy) there is ... ... erect shed in backyard ... move shit into abovementioned shed ... erect second (larger) shed ... move 3 motorcycles into abovementioned shed ... make about 3 trips to the dump Shall I go on?
  14. Oh thats good. I've got a shocking cold and I look like shit!
  15. Maybe thats where the "nismo" difference is with my Stag, with the exception of the Momo wheel, badging and front end ... looks like it had a fmic in mind. Very accommodating! I'll hopefully fit the driving lights back in tonight. They'll be about 3/4 inch forward than normal, but you'd never know it. Hmm, less than half the intercooler is obscured by the bar, but I don't want to go cutting it. Or moving the number plate ... wanna keep it looking stock. In any case, the exposed part of the cooler is still bigger than the smic, and with the cooler an easy 1 inch back from the reo bar, there should be sufficient air flow getting in there.
  16. Saw a white VR4 crusing down South Tce city this morning. Was it you? I waved and all ... in case it was someone here
  17. Did you get stuck into him?
  18. Lucky he got away with it at all. When I'm on bike cruises, if any yahoos do something stupid and step out of line, it normally results in them having their keys tossed on the side of the road, and a very stern verbal warning.
  19. Its not the bikes that are dangerous, but the other fools on the road ... and how much you twist the wrist.
  20. ADD: Finishing off the job yesterday, I took the extra time to pull everything off again and go about finding a way to mount everything back and up 1/2 inch in a bid to retain the driving lights. relocated the piping brackets and all. Good news is that it worked and I've just got to redrill the mounting holes in the reo bar and the driving lights will go back on. The driving lights will cover up the reducers/clamps and I'm keen to lightly spray the cooler satin black for a more stealth look. One advantage of having a swimming pool was being able to seal up the piping and dip it in water to look for leaks in the welding. Also, while I was messing about with the piping, found a clamp that was a tad loose. Hmm, may have been enough to be leaking boost.
  21. Here are some pics: Looks almost stock (body parts and reo bar unmolested) No cutting here! Or here! Isn't she lovely! (bumper fits back on perfectly, no gaps) Watch this space ... Slide stage 2 hi flow turbo being fitted this week
  22. Sounds like a valid offer. I'll see how that would slip into our route. So long as we get to 'parade' past the local spots in Victor, where we eat/drink shouldn't matter too much.
  23. PM sent Maybe 19 Stags attending ... maybe!
  24. Oh boy! When that happens to me, there is always someone who helps me remember what I got up to
