  1. We have ASUS laptops for two of our consultants and I did have one myself. We purchased ours 2 years ago ... and bascially I couldn't wait to upgrade from it ... they really are rubbish! If you must get them upgraded, then STAG are the guys who deal with ASUS laptops. They were located on South Road, but the bridge project at Anzac Hwy has seen them move. I don't know where to. I'll never touch another ASUS again. The harddrives on all 3 we had failed within 18 months. The other 2 are being squeezed for life before we upgrade again, and even now the harddrive is failing again in one of them (the replacement harddrive is only 6 months old and failing again!). Programs do not run properly all the time. My 2c worth, get rid of the ASUS laptops and buy an Acer. Much better.
  2. I never use the rear brake on the street, and only ever use it on track to "correct" the bike into/out of a turn. I use my weight on the pegs alot anyway to do all that. BS. You could have the right attitude and still kill yourself thru lack of skill. Simple. For starters, there is no way he could legally ride an R1 by the end of the year. No way. Take a 125 and live longer fool. He's a fool too if he thinks he can handle an R1 as long as you're "responsible". Ha, I've seen 2 teens in the last 2 years kill themselves on R1s and I've heard of many other teens meeting death on 1000cc machines too. Riding a 1 litre sports bike requires attitude + skills + experience + protection. This guy has got none of that. Me and my buddies see a 'squid' out on a bike they shouldn't be riding, we shut their bike down and toss the keys away. Doing them a favour. I have been considering selling it for some time, but I haven't made it a solid decision yet
  3. I work just outside the city. PM me a meet place for lunch and I'll nick it off you then.
  4. So you're 18, have no bike licence yet, but reckon you'll have an R1 by the end of the year? Are they selling you a headstone to go with it? You can't legally ride an R1, and there's no way you'd have anywhere near enough skill to ride one illegally ... you'll only kill yourself. Just get yourself an Aprilia RS125 ... they're learner legal and still lots of fun to ride. Out of all the bikes I've ever owned, ridden or raced, my RS250 was the most fun I had.
  5. We'll be the judge of that!
  6. Why not ... I'll take it Bring it to the cruise tonight
  7. Hmm, giving me ideas now LOL Should take that to the drags one day when the new track opens. I'd pay to see that for a laugh. Watch the crowd sneer at it and laugh, then watch their jaws drop when it bags it up and takes off like a bat outta hell.
  8. The transfer case is setup for AWD. Even if all tyres are of the same profile, the 45 represents % of width, not tyre height. Differences in widths equal different rolling diameters.

  10. Be careful what you say. You're only permitted to praise workshops here, not flame them. But def sounds suss.
  11. Small diameter compressor wheel = 46.5mm Large diameter compressor inlet = 66.5mm Trim = 70 Exhaust wheel outlet = 44.0mm 0.63/0.60 ar Dug that up from some notes I've been gathering.
  12. I think they got bitten from their f**k up with the Lucky Strike. Rather than set a precedent, they got the Hitler squad out to cover their arses for any further "tobacco advertising" blunders. But I still think they just overkilled the scrutineering. At one stage I was going to cover the references to "Rizla" with pics of porn Get your Ducati, and keep it at my place I'll take real good care of it for you.
  13. I actually got the decals from someone within the British Super Bike Rizla team They also gave me the exact paint code for their blue colour. So its basically a BSB Rizla replica. There is no other TLR in the world with Rizla colours. Unfortunately, the MotoGP promotions office has now banned my bike from entering the MotoGP Show n Shine due to anti-tobacco laws. Even though I came up with 5 supported reasons why my bike should not be banned. 1. I'm not a tobacco retailer, therefore not promoting tobacco 2. Rizla is a brand of rolly paper, not tobacco, which is only commercially available under the Tally Ho brand name. So how can I "promote" a brand not sold anywhere near the MotoGP 3. The name "Rizla" was going to be blanked, but they also banned the 'blue' colour, saying its too obvious! 4. The bike was prepped in Rizla colours to honour Chris Vermulen for winning the PI round the year before on a Rizla Suzuki! and most importantly ... 5. Last year's Show n Shine winner was a Lucky Strike replica! (an actual tobacco product, not rolly paper!) Not only was the Lucky Strike replica entered, not only did the judges walk past it for 2 days, but they awarded it the win! I've won it before. If I win the Show n Shine again with my MV or TLR, I'm going to tell the organisers to stick it up their arse. I just put it in the show for the free parking and free entry. Don't give a shit about any trophy.
  14. Looks like this now: Thinking of racing it next season. Its already got the trick bits Just throw on some race glass
  15. Trust me, I've broken a few bones and seen the inside of a hospital more times than I care to remember. I am a bit of a nutter and push hard to see what bikes can do before they (or I) break (in a controlled environment), and I wouldn't give up riding for the world. There is a chance I'll get perished on a bike, but I'd rather that than crossing the road. I'm doing what I love. I've sold my GSXR race bike and already lining up my next race bike for next season for 2009. I ... just ... can't ... STOP! Breaking my shoulder in February forced me to sell my manual car and look for an auto ... thats how I came across the Stagea.
  16. Oh and I've had these too ... YAMMY R1 ... sadly written off SOME TURBO DRAG BIKE I THREW TOGETHER ... LOL RS250 RACEBIKE WITH NEW LOOK
  17. I get my MV Agusta F4 Brutale back tomorrow after having crashed it early February and breaking my shoulder. I've only just started riding again in the last 2 weeks on my TLR1000 after not riding for 3 months. I'm out of the racing calendar for the rest of the year so my rehab/physio/gym will get me up to strength again for the pressure of racing ... and of course dirt biking is out of the question for a few months yet also. So here's a few pics of my toys and what I do with them ... MY PRECIOUS MV AND THIS IS A FEW HOURS LATER! (waiting for scan and xray results for surgery options for broken shoulder) THE MIGHTY TLR1000 V-TWIN TESTING THE GSXR SETUP LEAN THAT BITCH! TEARING UP THE FARM PITBIKES WERE NOT MEANT FOR BIG JUMPS LIKE THIS! MATE AND I BUILT A CUSOM POCKET BIKE RACER WITH 125cc (broke the lap record same day lol) Show us what toys ya got!
