  1. Sunday 13th is gonna work better with me!
  2. Thanks my man, still not happy with the engine bay more cleaning soon!
  3. Not with me on the laptop, rolls out of the paint shop Monday-Tuesday.. pm me your email and I'll shoot them off when I pick it up via mobile!
  4. I don't know what you guys do for work. I clock up 4-500kms a week in the hilux and about 2-300kms in the GTR on the weekends. You buy a car to drive it. You don't buy it to look at in your garage and whack off. (well maybe some people do I dunno.. )
  5. seats i can do if they are leather... Thanks mate, still going strong. I'll take a photo of my armrest and gearboot and hanbrake boot I hand stiched.
  6. I'm super keen, interested for an immaculate 33 vspec for a swap and maybe a little cash?
  7. 10,000km per year are you serious!!! My mum/dad puts 40,000km on his falcon yearly. And does over 50,000km a year in his courier van? You must just take it to sunday church.. Personally, IMO GTR or nothing. Mainly coz I've owned both. You still pay the same for rego, tires, fuel and insurance (depending on your history etc etc) If your gonna get ass raped in the above running costs. Mosewell do it in a car what will love you that as much as you love it! Orrr... buy a shitter and then have a GTR for a weekend car. Only in a perfect world though! One thing that no one has mentioned though, is that if its your daily, and you plan to modify just have a backup plan.. As everyone knows, when you start playing with older cars, it occasionally throws a tantrem and can leave you stuck without your wheels for a few days... Or weeks. Depending on how much of a spak it has. ie oil pickup problem. Rebuild cha ching.
  8. Nearly there.. Few more little things to clean up then I'll be happy.. Can't beleive the amount of dirt and shit that came out of it! Such a big difference, but OMG soooo much scrubbing!!! I would suggest Silvo, lots of scrubbing, probly about an hour per peice, followed by wax and grease remover. Worked a treat. Don't be afraid of elbow grease but!
  9. sounds like a pretty easy fix mate, for the meantime zipties will save you! Nissan bars are expensive and somewhat rare to find in a hurry
  10. Just keep in mind mate, one day you'll run out of that money, which means no more hookers and blow and then you'll be sad with a flaccid one. Buy a gtr, and with every drive you'll be hard... hard to catch I mean..
  11. Can you PM said link to said GTR Brandon Cheers! And yeah your'e spot on. You only buy a GTR from a GTR fanatic, or someone who has a passion for the car. Don't ever buy a GTR from someone who goes. Buyer - When was its last service? Seller - Um I dunno cuz probz about 7000kms ago bro! Buyer - What oil did you put in it, did you do plugs? Seller - Coorrrrr shit brew I duno hey! Just got a $115 lube mobile service. Buyer - Um okay. Goodbye *walk away!!!!*
  12. This is true, and I'm not saying everything lasts forever. Hell nothing does in this world. I'm just saying, when it comes to and original car, and a less original ie- a 96 GTR with "60,000kms" but everything worn as f**k and has Japanese 100km sevice sticker on it. Then I would be more inclined to buy the original one as the "60,000km" one might'aswell have 360,000km on it. And thats when you worry like all f**k about original oil pumps. True story, I have a mate who bought his Pulsar new in 1995, still has it to this day. Just ticked over 500,000km... And all hes had to do is a dizzy and a head gasket. Nissan build good cars, look after them, they'll look after you. Gtst or GTR doesn't matter And your spot on. Theres a reason why you can buy a 33 GTR for 17k. And the exact same for 27k. Goodluck to the OP. Do yourself a favour drive both a GTST and a GTR. You'll see what people pay more for.
  13. how bad is it mate? you may be able to get away with heating it up with a hairdryer, popping the dint back out and then prepping and painting it again.. as for the metal, if itsnt too bad, don't stress!

    Autobarn

im sorry to hear about everyones experiences with autobarn, just keep in mind they are individually owned as they are a franchise. I will admit there are some staff at autobarns who you say to them i need a Z145A filter and they just look at you with a WTF look. BUT.. the autobarn local to me is a different story.. The staff there happen to be active in the drift and street scene and know their shit.. Not to mention the ability to buy carbon fibre bonnets, fuel rails, massive intercoolers, intake plenumns, BRIDE seats... nowww thats my type of autobarn
  15. oh an all for under $500. Best bang for your buck and sounds great.. spending any more that $5-600 on your stereo is silly. Sound systems belong in your loungeroom. Cars belong on the street with some power

  17. I can tell you straight up. a good mp3 headunit, and some rockford fosgates punch with an amp.. I went that road and wholly f**k never had so much bass from 6" speakers. Dont beleive me pop into a local chinabarn and check them out!
  18. im gonna disagree TOTALLY with cerberra and excentrix... i own a gtr with a 144kms on the clock. i am the second owner since NEW. i have all the documentation on the car... i happily drive it hard on the weekends and it loves it!!! the only thing i've had to do is regular 5000km servicing, and rocker cover gaskets... i would also like to point out that my father bought a U13 brand new in 1996 and i bought it off him in 2007 with 160kms on the clock.. still going strong and never had to spend a cent. moral of the story, if you buy any Nissan, that has been looked after correctly, serviced frequently and driven within its limits then its a safe bet. yes there are many lemons out there... but dont discount a car with higher k's if its been treated well. i put this question for you. would you rather buy a "50,000km" GTR or a genuine 150,000km gtr with books and a very well documented life or servicing?? i know what i would happily buy. there are more factors to GTR's and all cars that need considering before labelling an example ticking time bomb my 2c
  19. Lol! well turns out I know islade hahah small world this will be one fun meet!
  20. Thats your horn sensor wire... It should go inside the wheel on the pressure plate thing and that black plug goes into the plug on the underside of the steering column..
