  1. 1. Vn commodore 'S' 89 2. R33 GTS-T
  2. Use the search function for heaps of info Full 3" exhaust should be the first thing you do from the turbo back including a high flow cat. Cold air intake - panel filter in airbox or pod with heat sheild Up the boost 10 to12psi - either use a electronic boost controller or a bleed valve. after these mods id go a intercooler kit or a new ECU.
  3. Looks pretty cool. I cant find a AUD price anywhere either. I have sent them an email Ill let you know how I go. Cheers
  4. Only going on what I have learned on these forums and personal experience. Hope this helps I would drive it standard for a while for a start they are pretty quick in standard form. Do plenty of research and shop around before you do anything. Depending on how much money you have I would do these mods for a start. 1. Make sure you have an aftermarket exhaust from the turbo back ~$500 for cat and front/dump pipe 2. larger intercooler kit and cai ~$1000 3. wolf 3d, power FC ect. what ever your tuner prefers. but if its the power FC get the boost controller kit with it. ~$1500 fitted and tuned These mods alone will make a huge improvement around 175 to 200kw @ the wheels (depending on the dyno ect.) From here it gets expensive because a lot of your stock parts will be nearing the limits. If I were you id upgrade the suspention, wheels, and tyres no good having all that power if you cant put it to the ground. Next you will need Turbo - aftermarket HKS GTRS ect ~$2500 or highflow standard one ~$1800 Injectors ~$600 Fuel pump ~$400 clutch ~$500 maybe not sure cams ~$1000 optional but will make a big difference at this stage. You will also need to add labour to fit parts and tune ECU ect. You will probably make from 230 to 270rwkw with these mods. have fun
  5. Are you sure I thought r33 turbos were ball bearing
  6. Mine are gapped at 0.8 and I dont have any probs but I also have an SAFC. 1. It Could be a faulty or dirty coil or coils. 2. The ECU might be seeing to much airflow for its liking and over fueling a quick fix for that the SAFC.
  7. Fair enough other things come into account too. Sometimes its not the dyno thats inaccurate if the tuner doesn't spend the time and take the care to put all the sensors in the correct positions ect results can be incorrect. At the end of the day if you take your car to the same dyno each time and know that the tuner is not taking shortcuts when dynoing your car everytime. You should get a good reflection how much power your mods have given you.
  8. I have all of that exept Ive got a safc instead of a power FC (not of good I know) and .5 psi less boost but yeah the tuner said say it was a little higher than other cars they have tuned with similar mods.
  9. I had my car tuned and dynoed late last year with a reputatable tuner in Melbourne my car made 195rwkw (mods are in sig). They said the car was making very good power for the mods the had. I was very happy with the job done and the care they took. Couple of weeks ago I entered the dyno comp at. The car was running great but it only made 156k atrw. I told the dyno operator the power my car had previously made on another dyno. He said that there a lot of people out there who are tuning cars and giving extra high readings to the customer to keep them happy. But everyones figures seemed very low to me, stock 300zx manual 136rwkw and, EL straight six falcon with full exhaust and CAI 75rwkw where a couple of examples. Having done my research on the forums it seems most people with these mods seem to have from 180 to 200rwkw (correct me if im wrong). Last week later i watched a DVD called grunt files with a very interesting part about dyno's. They showed who how a dyno/car should be set up for a power run on a dyno if the operator does not pay attention to all steps the figures could be out by a long way. After watching this I relized that guys running the dyno comp missed some very important steps. Some of the steps from the DVD included. 1. The inlet temp sensor must be in the airbox or on pod. (not done at comp) 2. Exhaust temp sensor must be in the exhaust. (not sure if this one was done or not). 3. Humidity, temperature, and altitude must be entered on the PC. 4. Fan to represent the car on the road. (not done at comp im surprised my car didnt detonate like hell) This DVD is worth a look for this section alone. So people beware that if you are going to enter a dyno comp that all the necessary steps are being taken or else you will get inaccurate readings.
  10. My car made 195rwkw with of 10.5 psi of boost with the mods listed bellow on a dyno dynamatics dyno. They said fuel pump and injectors and turbo where within safe limit's but if I where to add more boost ect. I would be at the limits. He also said the R33 gts25t are probably the value for money import to modify to this level. To go the next step many parts need to be upgraded making it expensive. To go the next step I beleive I would need ECU, injectors, fuel pump, airflow meter and turbo Cams would be optional but they will make a big difference.

    red dash

Seen it done with blue leds on a S13 looked good
  12. HKS 2530, HKS gtrs or a rb25 turbo but to get the most out of your new turbo you will need intercooler ecu (eg. Power FC) fuel pump injectors cam gear or cams id forget the s15 turbo to much mucking arround and to expense to get it to fit for the results that would be gained. If you have the cash go the 2530 or gtrs.

Yeah for the speedo Thanks. Will go to Autobarn tonight for a look
  14. Believe it or not good old touthpaste works very well to

    red dash

Does anyone know where you get those globes to make your dash light up red
  16. GTT for me. Sure the ford has a good engine but thier a big, heavy, and the interior build quality is terrible. If you want a roomy powerful faimily car go the ford. If you want a sports car with four door sports car go the GTT.
  17. Yep thats the one I want probably hard to come by if anyone has a series 1 grill for sale let me know thanks The 400r one looks very similar but has no 'S' but it might have to do. Hit a Kangaroo on the weekend not to much damage but I will need a new grill Headlight ect. So I thought I may as well get a nicer one.
  18. yeah its similar but GTR grill will not fit GTS-T I have seen a few copies but the one in the pic is the one I like
  19. Anyone know where I can get a grill exactly like this one?
  20. I think it would be very close already. Are they both manual? your car weighs 1390 probly 210-220 kw at the flywheel with the mods you have His car 1690 (300 kg's heavier). If you do the maths the power to weight is very similiar.
  21. The shorter the arm the harder it is for the wastegate to open. So if the wastegate arm is hard to put on leigthen the arm it should make the wastegate open earlier. Would your standard actuator fit on your new turbo?
  22. Got these tyres put on Friday. 17' 235 all round Went for a drive Thought the grampians on Saturday and was very impressed so much better than my old sava tyres highly recomend them. Grip has improved a lot on take off's but its still difficult to get a good launch.
  23. Just got a set of K104's put on today 235/45 $175 each Hope they go better than the Sava 's I had. they were crap.
  24. Ill have black crome thanks. Any idea how long they will be?
