  4. Just had a search for the Gibson spec sheet I had done...got me thinking about them again. When I find them I will post them up for interest sakes. What are peoples thoughts on staggered cams?

  6. They are more like 260 272 when you work out advertised duration. The 260 10.8 would work. Just need head machining for the lift.
  7. I actually feel -10s will flow more. The anti-surge comp cover reduces efficiency to bring boost on slower to reduce surge. For a 3ltr I would go the garretts. As for cams we went with what works. Used to use JUN 272's and ordered 264 by mistake. The results were more power everywhere. For under 400kw I would go mines shorepro. 252 10mm or whatever they are..... I had the Gibson cams dialed. I can't remember exactley what they were. Something like 278 292 10.5 staggered but I think that wasn't at advertised duration. Will have to dig up the sheet for you guys. Base circle was 1mm under aswell.

  10. Just saw you have high flowed injectrors......eeek. Did you work out which cyclinder is pinging? Then I would swap injectors and see if it follows. I have not had a good set of high flowed injectors yet. Can you borrow a set of nismo's? Also the pod in the engine bay is sucking a lot of hot air prob over 45degrees that day...would kill power. What was the intake manifold temp?

  12. is the CAS set to reflect the ECU? ie 17degrees could actually be 22 if the CAS is advanced.

  16. Carbon single plate broke most of the boxes. Using a Nismo Gmax twin now.
  17. Yes yes....however -I pay $100-300 a box -I don't like the OS ratio's on the track -I've worked out how not to break them
  18. I've broken 13 boxes. 2nd gear once and 3rd gear 12 times 1st gear has never been and issue. I do launch the car resonably often. I have changed to Redline Shockproof (blue stuff) and had no gearbox failures since. I have learnt not to flat change 2nd to 3rd though. I always broke them on gear change. Matt
  19. looks a bit like it may have a primary/secondary can setup... More than likely having the inlet side can returning to the rear turbo oil return. If the Primary can is returning to the dipstick it should be a good setup. I also like the Autech catch tank with a nismo catch can....this is the best setup...like the Gibson gtr..Just make sure you use the std cam baffles or modify the Mines baffles so the oil can drain back into the head from the Autech catch tank. What I have found however if you have too much oil in the head no catch can will work. Sort that out first.

  21. I like this design much better than the quick spool. Much better flow when travelling through one scroll. The quick spool presents a brick wall to 50%. At least this design directs the flow smoothly.
