RB20 throttle body/RB20 bits
Chris32 replied to Chris32's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
PM's replied to, gotta shift this stuff! -
Selling these, gotta makes some space in the folks shed! fronts are 17x8, with Bridgestone S03 tyres, approx 50% tread left, but worn down quite a bit on inside edge due to shithouse wheel allignment. rears are 17x9 with Goodyear Revpec tyres, approx 40% left, again worn on inside due to camber. Due to me running two lock nuts on the back and one on the front, I only have 14 wheel nuts, although when I enquired they where cheap and easy to get hold of Rims have ususal gutter scrapes on rear, fronts only have a small scratch on them They fit really well on my 32, no clearence issues front or rear, and my car is lowered so the top of the tyres sit under the guards all round Would make a good set of spare rims for drift or everyday use, enough tread to have some fun with drifting or while you save up for some new rubber asking $950 for the lot, will look at other offers, need to clear them out ASAP. Pics can be found here - http://www.pbase.com/chris32/inbox Matt/Joel, can you leave this in the SA section, I dont want to go through the hassle of selling them interstate Cheers, Chris

Interesting. To be honest, I have never compared the two directly, might see what they compare like on the way home, I will let you know. I have seen 1.6 bar on my hand controller peak hold, so I don't know how much to stock sensor would read up to? I would say, just being a sensor, it would read whatever the actual pressure is, there would be no point in Nissan putting a sensor in that is limited, it would probably cost more! Very interesting though, I wonder what else is in those ECU's that we dont know about!!
-
Ok, you had me worried mine was wrong! So will it work if the PFC map sensor isn't plugged into the PFC?
-
Yeah, got the Toyo's Went just for a front set, I hate buying a full set of tyres I have never tried before! I want some dry weather dammit!! They seem really good so far, dry tests will be the key once they have a few kms on them They seem to be a reasonably hard compound too, so should get a few kms out of them. Once they are scrubbed in a bit I will throw them on the back and see if they are worth getting for the rear. If they are I might get a set of Toyo Trampio's for the front, they look to be a really good tyre for the front Will post up results! Hows the 3L in the wet? Would be a bit of fun wouldn't it! I remember going for a lap around the block in the dry and it was pretty taily with the mech. diff in it. Mine is and it has half the torque lol!!

Put one up at 1600x1000
-
sorry, should have been more specific. Plugged into the boost control pin on the ECU
-
Hey Bass, I put one up there for you, let me know if it works out ok. if not I can change it Chris
-
Well, first impressions are very good Only done about 300kms on them, all wet, and they are very good. Will post up results as they get a few kms on them. Extremely quiet at highway speeds Pretty happy, decent sidewall too, so they handle well up front Chris

With mine, the Map sensor had a 3 wire plug that went into the PFC, the solenoid had a red and black wire, I wired 12V to the red wire, and the earth wire plugged into the Boost Control. I got the instructions from someone who wishes to remain nameless because of class rules meaning they cant run a EBC Has worked fine for the last year So you reckon I could get rid of the PFC map sensor and it would still work? No spiking on mine, but it does drop of a few PSI up top, but more turbo running out than anything
-
I cant take credit for the pics - I just photoshop'd it all together in 5 mins! Makes a nice background though I reckon All the images are from www.nismo.co.jp/Z-tune Added another one as well, same thing without a few things on it, looks less cluttered Chris
-
Had a go at making a background for my desktop http://www.pbase.com/chris32/inbox Enjoy! (hopefully ) It was sized to suit my widescreen laptop, so feel free to crop as needed!
-
I've got one running on my R32, works well. Usually run between 1.15 and 1.35 bar, it controls it quite well. wiring is quite simple, not hard at all SK, what do you mean about not having to run the PFC map sensor? Mine is wired in with the map sensor as well. It seems to work fine though

Definatley sounds like its a tooth out on the timing, with the CAS fully retarded etc.. should pick up some power when thats fixed I know what you mean about trying to saved cash up, its hard hey!
-
Mine is quite loud now, especially when you are flat out. Not external-gate loud, but still quite loud Did you end up going the twin 2.5"s? Its not to droney on the open road though, or I have gone tone deaf, not 100% sure It will get there mate, is it a timing problem? If it is, have you checked to see if your CAS has all the teeth on it. Shaun had one in there a while ago that I ended up having to pull the exhaust cam and CAS of my spare motor for. The problem sounded the same, down on power all over, but when it was swapped over it made a extra 25rwkw How much boost are you running? Whens the big turbs on the cards!!
-
lol! So hows it sound now mate? Saw you the other week, pulling out of BP down near noarlunga way, I was on my way down to victor
-
Sure, take 3 degree's timing out on your H/C, see how flat it feels that should represent a power drop of around 15odd rwkw
-
A flow bench, as far as I know, can't pump through stinking hot expanding exhaust gas, so a flow bench test on a straight thru pipe vs a high flow cat is about as helpful as tits on a bull. Makes a good magazine article though A good example is forum member Roy, by replacing his 'high flow' cat with a straight pipe, he picks up about 20dd rwkw from memory
-
Top RB20 Club... do you have over 260rwkw?
Chris32 replied to RBsileighty's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thats awesome! Sure its still 2L lol!! -
Michelin Preceda Tyres (small review)

Best I could find was $268ea going to try some Toyo's instead Thanks mate -
I will find out in a few days I guess Should be good The new BF Goodrich seems good, very hard compound though
-
getting two on saturday, will post results Its was either a Toyo at $165, a Falken 326 at $160, or BF Goodrich at $220 I think for the $100 saving over the BF's, they are worth a shot. If they have soft sidewalls, I'll just run them on the back!
