Hey guys, I have a problem with one of my daily cars. It’s a 99 mod toyota corolla no engine mods besides exhaust. The problem is, when driving and reaching 3500rpm it makes a sound like a grind / fast vibrating noise, somewhat similar to when your brake pads are low and grinding although the sound only happens for like 1 second. This happens in all gears (have not tried 5th obviously). The noise sounds like its coming from somewhere in the top of the engine bay but I cant be sure. Ive been told to check is the dipstick as it could be loose or in the wrong way , and to check nothing is loose around the brakes area. The car doesnt lack in power and is driving normally. So before I take it in to the mechanic does anyone have any ideas what it could be? Any help is appreciated cheers!

I think i seen about 8 skylines coming back from Goulburn on Saturday, a 34 (ouch), a white 32 GTR (drool) on a trailer, a red GTR, a few 33's...i figured something must have been on down there i should have come down earlier and watched =(

Macquarie pass - goes up to Robertson / Moss Vale or Jambaroo Pass... If you go up Macquarie pass follow that road all the way out along Robertson Road, Youll eventually come to a left hand turn which takes you to Nowra or Fitzroy Falls, there's two seperate mountains there will some pretty scrazy hair pin corners... But beware its wet, ive lived in the area my whole life there is sooo many undercover cars around there now.

Well done lol =) But its just that, they get a story out of making people look bad for what they in fact are not. It makes it hard for the civilised enthusiasts out there to get their point across to everyone when the shows like Today Tonight are dragging in the dollars with false stories. They do small smash repairs there, they always have but they are the same business doing the same thing ive had two cars come out of there with complete custom bodykits and paint exactly how i wanted it, they do great work. The old owner was Lee, though im pretty sure he still has something to do with the place. The guy running most of it now is a german guy i think i cant remember his name? If you go to Liverpool exhaust of Heathcote road turn your first right and go all the way to the end of the road youll see the shop on the corner

Oh my gosh thats messed up... A friend works for the railways dealing with the report for exactly this and you would be amazed at how often this happens really. Almost on a daily basis just around Sydney, i seen a guy jump of the overwalk bridge at Lidcombe station directly into the path of an oncoming train about 6 months ago. I feel sorry for the ppl who have to see that sort of thing
