  1. I have heard contradicting stories and wont cut the wire 53 drdrift did and his car kept cutting out it can also effect hicas I believe. I can do a chip that removes or move limiters slightly different timing maps for for r32's if your interested. pm me for details. meggala
  2. greg no they wont need an engineers in victoria. dragon its basically when you do engine swaps in victoria. or change major components like axles lenghts etc meggala
  3. see which tyre placeard you get some times like on my r 32 the was the 16 X 8 for gtr the same might happen cause the r33 gtr car with 17 x8 rims which is basiaclly the same body meggala
  4. hungry 6 the gt25 doesn't bolt up to the manifold and they are set up for sr's and ca's not rb's. cefiro dr drift had a vg30 hiflow I drove his car and the turbo was awsome and it was non ball bearing we are talking come on to boost @ 3k ish full boost 4 k rpm when you hit full boost in second the wheels start spinning very nice this was @ 1.2 bar. disscussing this with him we both came to concluson that we would get a small er exhaust wheel for faster spoolup if we were to get one again. btw this was a non ballbearing turbo so may be the ball bearing option would be better. but the cost difference was big around $800. the car was nuts and it was running stock injecotor bigger fuel pump and z32 afm it ran 108 mph on the track the 1/4 time was slow cause of wheel spin. the specs were T3/4 Turbo => Custom made by ATS with 55mm TO4E Comp Wheel and 54mm RX7 Rear Wheel, Oversized wastgate valve, 0.8 Bar Actuator (NEW) cheers meggala
  5. there is a smaller internal waste gated version avabliable according to gcg but i'm not to sure wether they fit properly. and you cna get them trimed right down I was very close to getting one a few months ago you can also do it using the rb25 turbo's exhaust flange which makes it easier but that is not ideal . I would go for the rb25 turbo rebuild with roller bearing center etc good for450 hp or the vg30 hiflow. if you want ease of fitment. meggala
  6. I think mr mayhem is right they are higher not longer. the main difference with the rb20 and rb25 is the heater hose dimensons cheers meggala
  7. hey if yours is an n/a there is no apex power fc if there is it will cost you 2k plus for it. an apex n1 is a turbo exhaust that will make you car very loud and drone ant low revs the best power up is a set of extractors and a pod filter tehn if you get really keen you could go for a set of cams but the n/a already has better cams than the turbo. It an expnsive path to take if you wanted power you should have got a turbo. believe me I have done the reasearch cause my car was n/a but now its turbo meggala Cams and cam gears can give you better tuning but you need to have a tuner who knows what they are doing and I dont know tuners in Qld so I cant help
  8. chopobo those figures are correct only 50 hp difference but remember the gtst from the factory is only running 5 or 6 psi. cheer meggala
  9. well I have seen it all now r33 4door with and sr20det in it it was a 2l rb model this has to be an interesting conversion. pity though no shots of the engine bay I can imagine the lok on peoples faces if you rocked up to auto salon with one of them with a nice 3037 hangin off it engine meggala now wherew is the doona for this sleeper the rear
  10. steve I have to agree with you I have had numerous enqirys form the states and haven't sold a thing. nismo if you serious you can pm me and I'll see what I can do meggala
  11. Doc go for it it will be very awsome:) and should fit fine meggala
  12. that comment proved to me you need to get your car tuned by a pro. detonation is and pinging type sound it sounds liek coins rattleing meggala
  13. the 11.8 ratio will not nessacarily mean no detonation cause you timing could be 40o and you could be runnig 91 octane if you get my drift the a/f ratio mention is a bit on the rich side. and safe. if you have the a/f ratio it will help you a bit timing should be on 15o to begin with as well and jsut watch every thing a/f ratios timing, fuel pressure etc with good tuning you will make good power but power doesn't always come with boost if you adjust you cam gear you can gain power adjust timing you can gain powerif you lean out the fuel you can gain power ( but risk cooking the motor) so don't just look at boost start at 12 use the fcon and gradually up the boost. but keep checking every thing cause with these cars if they are running rich the timing might get advance or retarded and they same running lean the ecu does lots of interesting stuff and it can all change if you tuned the car on a cool day and you up the boost on a hot day. A couple of hundred on having a good tuner do your car is much safer than playing your self and being up for 3 k if you cook the motor. meggala
  14. Sorry to see it micheal it was looking so sexy as well glad that you are ok. meggala
  15. ok I just reread the specs on you engine if you are running the stock ecu I would keep it at around 12 till you get some thing tunable boost cut is going to cause issues as well at mixtures they will be way to rich. wonce you have a ecu to do some tuning with your cooler 16-18 psi would be all I would go to the cooler isnt that big although its an upgrade from the stock one. cheeers meggala
  16. It all depends on whya type of turbo you have what afm you are running what ijecotrs what ecu etc. with you cooler and stock turbo 14 psi should plenty with the ceramic turbine if the car is a series 2 make that 12 psi . bar on a t88 flows heaps more air than a stock turbo. got to my site I'm doing a series on modding skylines in generall some good reading there to give you an idea. http;//meggala.com click on the modifications link on the left on the main page. cheers meggala
  17. looks good its all you need what type was it ?
  18. its alright greame they all want to re invent the wheel. btw at the moment I'm doing a full feature on what mods to do and which order to do them in alot of it is done already, its is fairly comprehensive. it will be updated frequently should be completely finished in a week or 2. this is the start of it http://www.meggala.com/mods.html you were saying ta out the r33's well here is the page with most of the data http://www.meggala.com/r33main1.html yuou will find its fairly comprehensive meggala
  19. your best bet would be to get a manifold to suit prices start from 500 up. meggala
  20. 450 + hp Ihave beenquoted by gcg and other places do it as well so they are pretty good . Not cheap to do though if you want a ballbearing center 2k+ meggala
  21. I have an r33 turbo on my rb20 the most you can expect is aorund 180 rwkw if your chasing 230 rwkw do as fatz says and save for something bigger cause you wont get there with that also these are good for 1 bar and all types are ceramic. meggala
  22. If your driving down dave for sure we can get your car checked we jsuit need some notice cheers
  23. yummy dave have you had the car on a dyno to check it?
  24. I agree doxx
  25. thanks nark for that we know what sort of money r31 heaven $10 is a little light cause we wil need to help with the forum up keep but it wont be much more I'll get some figure public by the end of the week. we were initially thinking of 50 a year but it might even become less than that. cheers
