  1. r31 heaven your right the cams license is an issue I think we might do with out it for a while until we have 40 + member plus most of us dont have experiance in running event etc ok a Deca day or some thing is fine but no track days etc Blind elk has said to me and others that we are welcome to his clob the nissan datsun sporting assocaition ( I think) they have ben established for years and run around 10 events a year. I'll get some answers by the end of this coming week the club name is registered in vic we need an abn as well. but you r right we should jsut start member ship and take it from there. nay way more later. I've been busy the last coupel of weeks so I haven't had much time to put into it. cheers meggala
  2. I would have some one to have a look first if you are unsure of what you are doing I got someone who has done a few to do mine it doesn't take long as you know but there might be tricks I'm not sure meggala
  3. there was a manual one for sale as well might have been the y 30 though it looks pimpin they are a nice car the motrs you should be able to parts for as for panels etc they can be got but are dear . looks good the vg20 is a really powerful motor may be 140 kw or so but still it would make a great cruiser and uniqure car meggala btw some people drift them:) although this is a cima you get the drift they are nice and were frightfully expensive when new.
  4. yeah warp speed it is mine and my copy of the magazine has been lost so lucky some one sought to keep it it was very hard to verify the size of them and if anyone would know it would be tomei. if you note tomei use the only 256 cams but with 11.5 mm of lift some very interesting stuff floats around the hard part is decifering the japanese meggala
  5. not sure I'm not a mechanic your tuner would know that I was only quoteing from and article personally I prefer modding the stock ecu on my r32 and my s-afc. its alot cheaper cheers
  6. you will find out soon enough 100 klm per tank is alot of money in a year. btw I belive the micro tech doen't ahve closed loop either m
  7. well I know of someone whose r33 with stock turbo is lucky to make 250 klms to a tank driven carefully and it was tuned by a well known tuner . not naming names though meggala
  8. one Last thing I forgot the power fc does have temperature compensation with microtech does not. one big plus with micro tech is your buying australian meggala
  9. a couple of reasons the power fc is more popular . 1 in plugs straight in to the plug and look like the stock etc. (install is with in 2 minutes.) so if you get defected for having an after market ecu you can plug you old stock one back in you can also do this if you sell the car. 2. to it still uses the airflow meter which does have its good points for tuning etc and retains the factory look. reducing the chance of gettign defected for an after market ecu in the first place. 3 tunability they are easily tuned by numerous people. 4 is fuel economy I have heard that the micro tech does loose up to 100 klm per tank for simialrly tuned cars. 5 resale value. if you sell your car you will always get a good price and a quick sale for a power fc andcan plug your old ecu back in your self. . load point microtech 16 X 16 power fc 20X20 resoulution microtech 500 rpm power fc 400 rpm jsut some points. microtech does have it on price but if you include install I'm not sure what that would cost. tuning for power fc is very quick as well cause the car ecu comes with base maps. cheers meggala just some thoughts
  10. and the key to getting the turbo spooling faster is to separate the gasses fromt he turbo and the waste gate thats why an external gate is better or even a screamer pipe where the the smaller pipe vents to atmosphere. go and ask the guys a ice or any good turbo shop . why do HKS make this type of dump pipe and not solid 3 " one tell me . of course hks know nothing about tubo's or turbo design they are idiot and your local exhast shop owner is a genius. . night
  11. dude the guy is jsut sh1tty cause you didn't get it from him. I he an expret on turbo's. I doubt it find a different exhaust place trust me meggala
  12. adam plug might be the culprit put some fresh ones in gapped to .8 cheers
  13. the last time we were there you get one pit crew included in the price of runs meggala
  14. my rims are 16 X 8 on the back the good dr had 17 X 9 on the rear of his car and 8's on the front I have run 205 50 16's on my 8 " rims bt now run 225's meggala
  15. no Karina we wont be going down that path for a while its not worth the expense atm. If we get over 40 club member we will. cheers meggala
  16. all I can say is faaaaark  great effort Matt you really need to run again to break that 12 was this done on stock injectors? top effort I'll be interested in the fuel consumption. enjoy meggala
  17. a pic of the front bar please doc and yes I'll have one
  18. REd r32 you should runyour thing you will probably beat me cheers meggala
  19. great news adam sound ok dont strees about the the fcon the japs drive with heaps of things hangin off their ecu 270 rwhp should be plenty for now dont get greedy remember a few months back. cheers meggala
  20. Ph is right Ihave confirmation from option mag in japan and what he says makes sense the sr 20 has one of 240, same with the rb25 and I assume the the rb20 is similar the N/A version cams are 248 ithis tallys witht eh 254/256 after makret cams offer by tomei apxi etc in fact tomei has tuned cars witht eh 256 cams to aruand 600 hp for endurance racing. warpspeed I belive you when you say you measured them @ 250 but they might have been after market we aren't sure 100%. I have look long and hard at doing this N/A cams swap but I believe that it wont be that benifital in the increase in power to jsut ify the cost and the addition wear to the motor but sil8ty has hit the nail on the head with the cam gear adustment these do give good cost benifits. I have heard of a single cam in an rb25 engine being changed personally I wouldn't do it. 256 is the minimum I would change the cams for and probably I would go for 260's its very interestign but could be an expensive exercise If you ahd to pay some one for the work meggala
  21. hi guys I have done some work on my site have a look under modifications , drift ,drift pics http://meggala.com also dr drift got a new toy last night check it out here http://meggala.com/drdrift2.htm cheers meggala
  22. @ 8 psi it could be ok but over that you run into the other issues and the r31's have a lower bost cut as well I have heard. meggala
  23. the earlier ones from the red tops I can't atm If you can get a micro tech for 900 get it it will be better in the long run . no afm any type of injectors etc. meggala
