Autosalon was really cool when i was 18yo.....its just not my scene anymore. I'm in no way a conservative old fart, anyone that has seen my cars can vouch for that. I must say that i am a little bias as i have been to Tokyo Autosalon, but that aside i can see all the cars in sydney autosalon for free on a friday night on george st. As for club events u can't go wrong with more cruises and track days. Charity cruises always pull a good crowd as does show an shine. And its a great way to informally meet new members.

Don't get me wrong....I'm not a grumpy disgruntled car enthusiast. But i have been around long enough to go to too many of these events to get excited about the same 5hit every year. Good luck to all the SAU guys entering their cars this weekend, you will have my support in spirit!

OKies so 4 new tyres are on the cards for me then. But my crunching problem isn't with the gearshift......gears can be selected and feel totally normal. Its when u release the clutch after changing gears that there is a crunching. Btw it has a triple plate in it.

Can anyone help? Started having some problems with the gearbox or transfer case. When i drop the clutch a little harsh theres a loud crunching/grinding noise. Happens in any gear if u pop the clutch too quick. Also not sure if this is related but the 4wd torque split guage reads a slight amount of power being sent to the front wheels when cruising at speeds over 60kph. Any ideas?

Even if they tick full inspection it will not be necessary as this is only for steering or major defects. Worse case scenario just put the stock cooler back on.....blue slip will only check off the listed defects, not look for more. hope this makes u feel better

same prob.....32GTR happens maybe once a week. Very quick miss and just feels like a jolt. Knock readings show nothing out of the ordinary. I have had it once on full load knock and other readings seemed fine tho. Really seems like a random miss with nothing to do with load or temps or driving conditions.

Yoshi's doesn't really hav a sense of humour, u try an joke an he doesn't get it. Have u seen him snap?? Classic. BD4's was pretty good, gave me good options when i told them i'm on a budget. And YOSHI.....I want to make love to him!!!! I believe George at BD4's said he has only been proven wrong/beat once! 5mins with my car an he found the root of my problem. He had the car for a day and knew it better than me.
