  1. The speed at which the camera is triggered is relative to the speed zone. You do have a bit more head room with the higher speed limits tho. As for the exact speed at which they go off at....thats pretty classified information. My best mate used to install and service them and even he won't tell me.
  2. Sounds about right for a highflow turbo. Usually they put out about the 220-230kw mark? For the money i don't rate them its still basically i near standard turbo, jus capable of more boost.
  3. Errr the stock bov's would have been in the same place your HKS SSQ's were....which is in the front right hand corner behind the front bar, nowhere near the turbos. Unless u have the HKS ones custom mounted somewhere? Either way they would of been blocked already if this is the case. As said earlier u still need to block off the hks ones, bit of coke can aluminium is a good choice....i used roof guttering on my old gtst.
  4. In answer to the original post....."BECAUSE I f**kING CAN" But its true the spoiler does actually have a purpose. If u cant find a wind tunnel and u really wanna see jus stick 6" strands of wool all over ur car and drive behind it. Or alternatively get the book 21st century performance...some pics of this in action.
  5. I cant believe some of the crap in this thread. Some of u guys have to open your minds a bit and get out there and drive these cars rather then quote power figures. The SR20DET respondes to mods HEAPS better than the RB25DET. RB25 has 2 cylinders too many and .5l too much in my opinion. Your kidding yourself if u don't think the SR has incredible output and versatility for a 2ltr. And the S15 is a great chasis. I love skylines as much as everyone else here but u gotta take ur hat off to the SR.
  6. BB: I'm always security conscious but with the new prepay systems being used we're miles away from the exit. I personally regularly patrol the carparks i work at but still have had cars stolen on my shift. With up to 6 levels of parking and over 1000 cars its hard. I chased down a stolen car the other month at the Royal North Shore hospital multi level carpark, and got the plates of the stolen car and the car the thieves came in and reported to police. But in all honesty surely they changed the plates or used another stolen car to come in with? I don't park in carparks especially around market city and darling harbour, famous for car thieves and gives them a quiet sheltered place to steal ur car. Much safer parked on a busy street outside a bright convenience store.
  7. Its normal its a skyline. Especially with those stupid blow job valves.
  8. Oil temps in the low hundreds is normal but the water temp is not. Even on the hottest days i don't see over 85 and thats with a standardish type radiator. I would definetly check the radiator and thermostat u had put in, the last time i had a semi blocked radiator it ran temps of 90-100+ and resulted in a head gasket.
  9. Price drop on the turbos $800 firm! Need to make up for some xmas spending. Injectors still for sale.
  10. I've had another dealer try an do this to me on parramatta rd. After a pre-purchase inspection showed the car was no good i asked for my $100 back but they refused. I jus sat there until they eventually gave in and swapped the inspection report for my 100. It was something i didn't want to do as they could band aid fix all the problems on the report and sell it to the next sucker. Do u have a copy of what u signed?
  11. Yeah theres always heaps left. But they already fade like crazy when coming down from high speeds. Lol i just wait till they snap off...when i hear metal on metal its time to change haha.
  12. happens to the best of us....it will be fine.
  13. U werent the bike that popped the nice mono were you?
  14. I'll be up for a set K750 fronts for non brembo 32 GTR asap. Hope my brakes hold out till jan, indicators are starting to squeal non stop.
  15. As stock as it appears i would budget for a rebuild in the near future. If i could do it all again i would get one dirt cheap with a blown engine but a great body and interior. As for S15 or later model cars compared to the 32GTR, the 32 has rattles and creaks but it makes up for it where it counts And yes be prepared for some financial maturity lol.
  16. Agreed IC does nothing in traffic, but in regards to sitting in traffic and then moving again, my inlet temps seem to never recover.
  17. this sounds interesting...might help my HID that cant fire up.
  18. Oh Gary where were u when my best mate was talkin crap about strut brace thicknesses? Omar the 33 is a bit of a whale understeer in oversteer out, if u brake too late you'll never get to the apex. I preferred slow in fast out....Just need a lil more patience with the 33. On another note, Phil brought out one of his mates to the nasho the other week had the SK setup on his 33, not too shabby Gary....not too shabs indeed
  19. lol its a pity they don't have the best prices in australia.
