  1. They had stuff at Wakefield but I'm bring a doona and pillow anyways as it was no where near enough for a cold place like Goulburn. BTW - off topic (kinda) but it turns out for Wakefield all drivers WILL need a Wakefield license (as I originally thought). It's not a big deal at $40 though.
  2. Ok - our numbers have dwindled to about the size that I was originally expecting. But thats ok - it's still going to be tops. I'm getting really pumped for this if for no other reason than I'm looking forwards to driving my car in anger on a track again. And I'm especially looking forwards to driving Wakefield again and meeting the NSW crew. Anyways - time to start the final planning and will get those still coming's input on this. Departure time on Tuesday morning I say should be either 5am or 6am from the Shell on the Hume. Basically these trips go faster before the sun comes up - but it will also be day light savings then so the sun will technically come up later than it is now. But I want to be in Goulburn well before the 3pm because I want to find a pub and watch the Melbourne Cup. It has to be done. It'd be un-Victorian not to have a beer and watch it. So I'll let the masses decide on a 5am or 6am depature. I'm personally happy with 6am as it's still for me a near 5am depature from my house. Also - the other thing non of us have done is book accommodation in Syd. I'm keen to stay at the Cabins as they'll be just like Shep and they are a lot more socialble than a hotel. I'd say we are going to need 3 cabins given the numbers coming so if people are happy with that I can make a booking shortly. Which just leaves the Tues depature time. 5am or 6am everyone?
  3. Hehe - they were both examples of precision driving Bris and you know it. Not a scratch on the car. There was at least 5cm between me and the wall I reckon. At least.
  4. 0414 359 888 is Geralds mobile.
  5. The blue one is the toy and the red one is the daily and back up toy! Super Duper Hatch FTW.

  8. Don't let any of this put you off however. There are heaps of people that haven't had any issues. But the advice is still not to put yourself in a situation where you can't be without the car you take to the track for a period of time. Even if it's 12months + as is often the case if something goes wrong for us club level guys. It's still the most fun you can have so it's totally worth that risk.
  9. Here you go - the kink at Sandown including RowdyR32 Also - you won't cause a crash to someone else at a sprint day. I've never seen it happen. People cause their own crashes.
  10. There is a full range in there. Black Viper was just a tiny tap whilst wokka wokka and BBGTR now have new cars...
  11. I've seen a fair mix of both. But I'd say as a rule the people who have a decent amonut of track experience tend to have much bigger bangs than those who are still learning.
  12. You could ask for another list of who has done serious engine/gearbox damage on the track as well and that would be even bigger. Snowman (gearbox x 2 - engine x 1)
  13. In Vic I could name.... Roy (R32 GTST) Adzmax (R34 GTT) Emre (R33 GTR) RowdyR32 (R32 GTR) RMPGTR (R33 GTR) Scotsman (R3 GTR) Black Viper (R33 GTST) Al (R33 GTST) clayoth (R34 GTR) And they are just the skylines I can think of. Others from here include BBGTR (STI) wokka wokka (WRX) pomme joe (EVO VIII) So it happens. I have video of Rowdy's off along with another WRX from that day PS - if your on this list and want to be removed let me know.
  14. Does this mean you sold the 32 Rod?
  15. They are the ADM EVO 8 headlights needed for complience. The car has the smoked MR headlights back in now. And the Paris shuttle goes alright now apparently. He did a track day (well actually a track night) at Wanaroo and came 2nd outright behind an R32 GT-R - but Blaise was only on normal street tyres. I think you'll find once it gets some decent shoes there won't be too many beating that car/driver over west.
  16. I don't know - Blaise's 8MR looks pretty sweet. And Russ's silver 9 looks hot too. With the right rims they can look pretty sweet. My choice would still be white with gold RGII's. Porn. Only problem is - Teh GT-R can Nevar Looooose!
  17. I just tested out the handbrake. It works fine.
  18. Nope - but if we have some people to operate some stop watches that'd be tops!
  19. We'll set-up a Special SAU only trip in 07 to DECA and we'll get some Syd bums down for it. They are the most fun weekends ever - which is why our Novemeber event just sold out (55 spots) in 4hrs and I have over 25 people on a waiting reserve list for a spot. Everyone wants a mexican hat. But 1st we'll come to Syd and kick your ass, drink your booze and steal your wimmin.
  20. And I think you will find they were monotubes Dane
  21. I must say I agree that a monotube shock is the best way to go. But the results I've seen out of giants car (Super Street) and Scotsmans car (Tein Flex) suggest that for a lot less coin you can get a very decent package. I've heard good reoprts with both of those with EVO's as well. But those 2 options seem to be the only ones getting the results. I used to have Tein HA's and they were crap. Most of the other Jap brand stuff is the same from what I've seen.
  22. Basically re-valved and re-sprung them for track.
  23. Steve - it was supposed to be Thursday night dude! (Aka the 9th of November!) I'm happy with either place. But I do know that both Roy and Scotsman love boobs as they seem to spend a lot of time at the strippers lately.
  24. Thats funny because if you look here CLICKY giant is the fastest car on this list at both Wakefield and Eastrn Creek - his times at Queensland Raceway are also faster than any posted there - he also won the Autosalon Circuit Battle this year as well as the Dutton Rally NSW (has been top 3 in 3 other Dutton Rallies) - and he runs Tein Super Streets. So I reckon they might be ok for some track events. I know Fulcrum Suspension have given giants suspension some tweaks for the track however. If going down this path and you are keen for a good set-up it may be worth giving them a quick call. Cheers.
