  1. More...
  2. Ok here's some pics.
  3. I reckon that sounds fair.
  4. If you look you'll also see Chris and I were driving a 1999 GTR. Basically the EVO guys would have originally entered that they were doing it in Jeff's old car and like for us never updated the information on the new car.
  5. I went first obviously and there was something seriously wrong in my 1st run. The car had no pull in 3rd or 4th gear. My top speed down the straight after the run was 178km/hr! The car was blowing a lot of smoke too. Our only guess was the engine was WAY overfilled with oil which Chris said he did. The top speed for my 2nd run was better at 221km/hr but still below where it should have been. I also had a slight sprinkle of rain in my 2nd run which caught me out at turn 2 and at the entry to the fast kink. 4th gear was also shagged so we were having to double clutch it which was a new experience for me. Plus by this stage our tyres were shagged. Check out how they were at the end of the day!
  6. That video from Pete. But we have all of our runs on camera Bris. Will put together a DVD when we get it all together.
  7. For cone haters - you can't tell me this isn't fun! http://skylinesaustralia.vidiac.com/video/...840001b8d5a.htm
  8. Yeah Russ we were 6th in teams. I finished 6th in drivers and Chris 7th in Co-drivers. Basically we made too many mistakes at the start as we were trying to do everything at 10/10th to make up for the lack of power we had. But, if we'd kept our noses clean we'd have been VERY close to the pointy end. I think in the end we made 9 mistakes in 58 events which is about 8 more than you can afford to make. Whilst there is a lot of cones I really like the cone stuff. There is no better looking car to be handbraked around cones than a GT-R and we still get some damn good results in the tight events. And really most of the cone events are still quite fast. Looking forwards to next year already. I reckon in my car we'd have come close this year as we'd have been able to play a little safer in the area's we made mistakes on and made up points with the extra HP in the speed events.
  9. Stupid cones.
  10. I only have 1 so far
  11. Ok. A bit more of a report from me about my weekend written in James style. 1. SAU DECA weekends = Super Dutton Cheater Practise. The Mini Wang is our event. Especially for Chris. 2. The Winton Flip Flop can be a scary place. 3. Motokhana's on stoney car parks are the best fun ever unless you are a tyre. 4. EVO's are the ultimate handbrake car but GT-R's look 100x's better when doing one. 5. The silver bullet's limiter was testest thoroughly. 6. Semi comps need to be cheaper. 7. Country police have nothing better to do. 8. Obnoxiously loud cars are only cool for the 1st minute. 9. Lil Blu had a 100kg weight penalty in stickers. 10. It is possible to spend 2.5hrs cleaning a car. But ultimately a 5min job would have been good enough. 11. I lost the 58-0 bet on the very first event. But enough of that. The weekend was tops. It was a great event and I had a heap of fun both in and out of the car. Cheers to Chris for letting me drive his car and big cheers also to Nige and Karl for getting the car ready in such limited time last week. Every time I do these events I learn something more. I'm pretty happy with 6th outright driver and 6th team. Our aim was 5th and we were so close to that (17points away). And a big final cheer to all the people who made the weekend so much fun.
  12. Beaumont/Gazzard in the EVO 8 won it. Top results were: 1. EVO8 2. EVO8 3. EVO3 4. GTR - Z Tune R34 5. EVO6 6. GTR33 7. EVO8 And I can't remember the rest.
  13. You would hate that car if you did the event. The first time you heard it it was tops. After 3 days of hearing it you were just praying it would blow up.
  14. Jack - the black R32 GT-R from NSW was fastest at Sandown with a 1.20.0. PS - I'm knackered. More from me when I get through all the stuff on my desk.
  15. You're wearing a race-suit. You get the tool award for taking it too seriously. Thats after Juz wins it for wearing all her promo gear.
  16. Bris - you ain't going to know what time the Z Tune does until we get to the Dick!
  17. For anyone that cares here is the entry list. Cars 51-100 will be at Sandown in the morning and cars 3-50 at Sandown after lunch. http://www.duttonrally.com/_downloads/VICEntryList.pdf But there are cool cars in both groups. It's a shame we won't get to see half of them in action for the whole 3 days.
  18. Z-Tune will be at Sandown between 9am-1pm.
  19. Yeah unfortunately it's not in our "group" (Cars 1-50) so we won't see it in action all weekend.
  20. You need some sleep Bris.
  21. Actually I was just foolish enough to let St George near my car and he just couldn't help himself so now the dragon has a hole in it's heart.
  22. How about Fodder Coleman?
  23. Actually I've had 8hrs sleep every night this week. That's more important than any horn. You boys better stop worrying about crap like dataloggers and other useless stuff and get some sleep tonight cause we don't need another Peter Brock incedent. Seriously.
  24. Z Tune is car #66. John Kaias and Mark Coleman.
