  1. Brisby you need to stop drinking before you get on these forums. And leave the talking it up to your own deeds - not mine. LOL BUT - if I do get a shot (which is unlikely since I'm not an Autosalon regular) - given a decent amount of notice I'll try and get the engine sorted beforehand. Then we'll see. Shame its not at Winton or a track I know. Again "if" I get in I might have to arrange a trip to Wakefield for a day to check it out beforehand.
  2. Yeah you have to send in an entry form mate.
  3. Well I hope to be running. Still waiting for my clutch to come back from QLD. Was told 5 days on the 1st weekend of Dec but I'm still waiting.... Hopefully will get it back and get those upper control arms in - then we'll see about your easy 1.02.
  4. Sad day's indeed mate. I can vouch for this car. Amoungst other things this car has arguably the cleanest interior I have seen in a GTR. Its spotless. Looks great with the TE37's as well. I can't seem to find a pic or else I'd post one up for ya mate.
  5. LOL - I have to be accepted first as well. Hell - they might not want another GTR there since we can be pretty sure the Autostyle one will be there. And they also might not want one that could BEAT that one. That would look bad for one of their major advertisers. Actually - speaking of Autostyle - they have that Mines GTR copy there dont they? Since this is supposed to be in the vein of the Tskuba battle thingy I wonder if Autostyle will bring that (if they still have it)
  6. Last year they ran their Street Car of the Year thingy which included a session at Wakefield. A mate of mine from here in Vic went in his Supra. They gave him $1,000 for travelling expenses. He never had to pay for anything for the weekend. This seems to be a similar thing. So if they want to accept me I'm there.
  7. Oh and its not 1 lap. You'll get several shots at it. It's just that each "time" will be based upon an out lap, a timed lap, then a cool down lap. So umlike a normal sprint day which is 3 or 4 times laps in one session this will be just one (which seems stupid IMO as everyone will get less laps consequently but no one said autosalon were the best organisers in the world)
  8. Cool - I think Clayton said he'll be there in his R34 as well. You know I'm expecting 1.02's from you Aaron since you told me last time I should have been able to run those "easy". lol
  9. Well for those of you that can't read it's free to enter. Infact they will provide an "allowance" to cover costs for competitors to get to the event so it won't even cost you anything to get there and back. My application is going in. I've been dying to show those NSW boys how to drive a GT-R.
  10. Berin - the most common track/street comprise pad used is Racebrakes RB74's.
  11. The first round of the WRX Club and consequent SAU Vic Club Championship round of sprints is on at Calder Park Raceway on Saturday Feb 11th. It should also be noted that this is a twighlight event - so afternoon start and night finish. Cost to enter is $140 (up from last year due to increase in facility hire fee's) Entry form here: http://www.wrx.com.au/motorsport/AASAEntryForm.pdf Sup Req's not available yet but should be available some time this week. I'll post them up when they are done. Cheers
  12. there was already one there. Well done.
  13. 38 degs is a nice day for it! My advice if you have never been to Heathcote in summer before is take some aerogard. You'll thank me for it if you do! Good Luck.
  14. New events will be added to this list as they come but for now we have worked on the full calendar for upto the end of May only. Links to relavent threads for each of these events will be posted as they are made.

    Hi Hi

Mavric will love that car! Welcome by the way. If your looking for a good GT-R I know of a very good R32 GT-R selling well below what its worth.
  17. Ant - PIARC work on the principle that Saturdays are non-timed practice and Sundays are a sprint day. You can do either of them or both of them but there is only 1 actual timed day. Dane - no problems
  18. Dane - your car is comparable to Brisby's external gate or the Ice Supra and they had no problems. Remember - on the track the test is taken from 30m away. That makes a big difference.
  19. Officially so far I know of 2 that have actually posted in forms. But there are 5 others that have said they they will be there as well.
  20. Well for those that come you'll be getting the first notice on whats coming up in 2006. Our main objective for this year is to try and provide more things for you guys to do. And so far we have things planned for about 90% of weekends between now and the end of May. We have eveerything planned from cruises, to motorsport to "special" club activities.
  21. Well if you have been reading this thread and have somehow not been scared off coming to the track then you are definitely worthy of joining Team Wang! Anyways.... Neil, I used all of last season a 4 point harness from Meridian made by ERG. Its fantastic. Basically it is an exact copy of the Sparco 4 point harness - just cheaper. I installed it myself - its dead easy. The 2 rear shoulder points go into the rear seat belt mounting points, and the waist belts bolt into you normal seat belt mounting points (the kit comes with a replacement bolt so that you can still reinstall the normal seat belts as well as using the harness). As mentioned by Ash the harness don't meet ADR complience so you can wear your harness on the street BUT you still have to put on the normal seat belt as well. Meridian are also the guys to speak to if you want a cage. I think its ALSGTR on here who has a nice R32 GT-R that has a beautiful cage made by Meridian. They can do the full FIA approved cages but if you are after a simple 4 point rollover hoop with tags to the B pillars they quote to do that for only $1050 fitted. <- I'm so glad this is back!
  22. Normally I'd do an event like this with a co-driver but in this case I'm not confident in the life span of my engine so I'm entering as driver only. Plus - my usual co-driver is convinced that in these types of competitions his car is better so this will be a good test to see if it really is or not.
