  1. EFI are the only place I will let touch the tuning on my GTR, they are the best bunch of blokes. Sean will speak to you about what you want and tell you which way he thinks is the best route to take to get there. If your serious about your car and want a top quality job give these boys a call...
  2. goign to keep the sleeper look now ay
  3. good to hear you keep all your points mate thats what cops can do unfortunately if they dont like you they can rape you, and unless you have some hardcore evidence and the money to fight them, we will never win..
  4. hey guys would someone help me out a heap and please be able to chop these rims onto my gtr, the grey one. cheers in advance joshy [attachm ent=195741:post_570...43_thumb.jpg]

  6. how much fuel is in the car when your giving it some?
  7. sorry its a 1990 motor has done 86 thousand and the crank looks like glass, motor has not been out of the car at all.. See my mates crank collar had about 8mm if that when his shat itself and looking at mine it is pretty close to 20mm so thats why i'm thinking my drive is fine.. I'm most probably never going to take part in any sprint events just qtr mile and street driving... so if i set up an oil feed from my head abck to the sump some new baffles and a restrictor as bumblebee put it. that should be finee for my application??
  8. to the wreckers and find yourself a new one, wouldn't say it would be very expesive..
  9. Okay people here is my situation. I am in the process of rebuilding my rb26 and have come to a very touchy subject on the oil systems.. One place will say buy jun oil pumps and baffles and all the rest but another place will say the standard gear will be alright on my application... Now here is what we're doing: wiseco 40thou pistons, acl race bearings, standard rods, standard crank but willl be 'chanfered'(can't spell) to hold more oil around the bearings, n1 water pump. The oil drive off the crank itself has about 20mm of clearence on the oil pump which makes me think i don't need a collar, as this is all you get with the oil crank collar anyway. My car is currently making 330hp with cat back, injectors, pump and a nistune. I am most likely going to throw a set of cams in with this build plus full exhaust and then new turbo's a little down the line. So were looking down the barrel of about 400-450hp in the long run.. Ok here is the complicated part; Mine and my mechanics opinion is we set up an oil feed from the head back to the sump and put a N1 oil pump on and we'll leave it at that. hopefully happy days A few people i have talked to straight away say jun oil pump, baffle plates and crank collars yadda yadda yadda etc.. So i am coming on here seeking out some people who know or have built my apllication and know which path i should be heading down. Any insight into this complex world would be appreciated joshy

    Ecu Advice

mate if your worried about legalities and that sort of thing nistune is the way to go. Pfc are an illegal mod, yeah they are an awesome computer but EFI performance at burleigh heads can get better results from your ecu... My car is making 246kw at the wheels on 15 psi with there remap and a cat back exhaust, and that is still a safe tune(except for the boost running through the standard turbos)...only cost me $400 for the daughterboard and 2 hours tuning.. so simple and easy cheers joshy
  14. nah it was a workshop that did all the work mate but i have notified them and they are coming to have a look when the head comes off to see if any of it was there fault...
  15. well people i have some awesome news.... .........MY CAR IS GETTING FORGIES............ ok here is the story, yesterday i was at my mates workshop and he has one of those G-tech devices so we thought we would strap it on my gtr and go for a little spin. Didnt even get a half decent time had like 2.4 60" and a 1.3 reaction and posted a 13 flat...so i should have a very low 12 second car... Any way back to the story, half way through the 2nd run we heard the worst noise you can possibly hear, Pinging. So we pulled back into the shop and popped the bonnet and what do we see. Dipstick was almost hitting my strut tower and my boost tee had come off. So she had been running max boost..... :x Any ways joely hooked up his own boost tee and the car felt pretty good no pinging or anything.. But it kept shooting the dipstick out.. So the boys at JD transmissions performed a comp test today and the first 5 cylinders were all at 140 but the sixth was at 80... So they are know going to start pulling the motor down and start to assess the damage...The money at this staged is just on a cracked ring but if thats the case they are just going to throw a set of forged pistons in... I am a bit dissapointed, but in the long run i will have a set of forged pistons going in my car so she'll be solid as for my application now... Moral to the story don't cheap out on one little piece of equipment because it can end up slapping you in the ass... cheers joshy

hahah heres my story went in there the other day to buy a new bov (plumb back) and asked the guy to come have a look just to confirm wat i was going to do with some custom pipe work. We pop the bonnet he looks in and straight away says i have the NEO motor. I just looked at him with the dumbest look on my face and asked for someone who knows what there looking at.. I mean seriously if you don't know don't try and help, you just end up looking stupid
  24. spotted a newish light blue toyota landcruiser with a set of roof racks pulling someone over on the M1 near loganholme plus my mate was pulled over by a green 180sx with all the lights in cleveland, he overtook them because they were doing 60 in an 80 zone. scary stuff
