It has to be a factory option.. in my area there are a LOT of Holdens and i see the poxy Pontiac front all the time

Definitely better to get a front mount. The 34 side mount might just work for light street duties, but if you're out for a decent drive giving it the beans here and there it will heat soak pretty quickly. My Blitz CS FMIC is still going strong, zero issues.

Thing is the weight of them increases with the newer models as well as the power. So the newer ones aren't heaps faster. Forget about the 5.0 though, even holden fanboys say they were rubbish. My mate has a VE SSV ute and i honestly thought it was nothing special

This. Also getting an e46 m3 is kinda taking a backward step in that dept. I have easily seen off a couple of them. Alex look into a GXP, full fat motor but a bit more subtle styling and cheaper
