Ive never looked into the rb25/30builds, is the vct the only thing you loose? Any other head mods? Can I still use the stock intake or is ffp the only option?

Yeah I'm leaning towards buying a motor, most are between $2-$3k so be an easier option. I have done more then a few engine swaps/removals over the years so I think I should be right, it will give me a chance to fix all the turbo install problems while it's out.

I think you have missed half the stuff in this thread, my 18psi actuator wasn't holding boost so stao sent me another one, the new one made 25psi, 25psi wasn't intending on running, but that's what happened. This problem was there before it was spiking 25psi, it started when it was running 16psi.

Looking for a new motor, would prefer long block but will buy a complete motor. Let me know what you got.

This problem only started last week. There wasn't any strange noises and it was only running 15/16psi. All there was is the fuel then oil smells. A few days later the oil poured out the breathers. I have got a fair bit of experience, my dad refuses to pay anyone to do anything so I'm the same. I don't not try things to be an arse or anything, there is just always things go wrong before I get to try things then I forget about what I was going to try. I do appreciate all the help I've been getting.

So my options are down to buy another motor or forge the motor I have??

And the oil spraying could be because of the current problem could it not? Boost issue still isn't completely resolved but clearly something has gone wrong somewhere. And as for the tune well that has absolutely nothing to do with me.

I wasn't intentionally running 25psi, I will pull the head off when I get a chance, what exactly am I looking for if it's not the head gasket?

Ok turns out my engine is just rooted. 91,167,167,168,167,167. That was engine still hot, many burns on my fingers , poured oil into cyl 1 and it came up to 130psi. So yeah head gasket?

Its free, il weigh it tonight and let you know an estimate on postage. I'm not one of these people who wants a billion dollars for used stock parts.

I'm doing a comp test tonight, if it isn't head gasket i think it's deffinately rings. I clean up all I could reach, and have now swapped the intakes over until I can resolve this oil issue. I was steadily accelerating holding the throttle at 18/20psi when I started to smell the oil again. It only hit 25 psi 3/4times I don't feel it's safe at that level.

I would suggest the bell mouth dump not that one, but it's up to you.

On a plus side, installed the 7psi actuator and it's got a pretty solid 14psi now. Il keep turning it up but for now it's got that.
