  1. It came out like a stream and it splooshed all over the firewall.
  2. It has just randomly stared happening and I can't find anything externally wrong.
  3. Harey. Yer that's right. Ok people. Need some ideas, what will cause 400ish ml of oil to pump out of the breather pipe in a split second.
  4. Il try to get some pics to show what I mean but there is very limited options. Until I can find a pod filter that fits I can't do much with limited pipe length.
  5. My intake consists of a 45 degree rubber bend 2 inches of steel pipe then more silicon pipe onto the afm. In the 2 inch pipe I have my bov return, I will try to make a new one and move the return so I can fit another pipe in but there isn't much space. Mods list, il type in order that I did them- hks high power cat back, gutted cat, k&n panel filter, spitfire coil packs, just jap bellmouth dump, just jap front mount, hypergear atr43ss1, Nissan 450cc 350z injectors, walbro gss342, nistune, z32 afm. I think that's all but maybe not.
  6. I don't have a spare car anymore, it's a custom made intake, no where to weld into. So no breather return until I make a new intake again ( number 4. And find a way to get a boost feed through a rubber hose. Stao - it hasn't arrived yet
  7. Yer I've got the stock turbo hanging off the side of my coffee table (Toyota 3tgte). Wouldn't that limit my power even more then it already is?
  8. I didn't have an option with the breather, there isn't anywhere to plumb it it unless I t it into the turbo oil drain, but that would be an even bigger problem, with every passing day I regret not just getting my turbo rebuilt to stock specs.
  9. I dont have the breathers plumbed in yet as I'm making a catch can to hide in my engine bay. I'm just a bit worried now, there was a lot of oil on the engine bay and my sump is over full.
  10. If the climate control will fit in the bottom of your brackets I may be willing to swap pending your location ( phone so can't see your details)
  11. Her car is a 2001 beetle, engine is an AWU 1.8 turbo.
  12. alot of the delays in testing is because i get stuck into working on my wifes car and forget about my own problems. her car is still running perfectly without an afm and it runs like shit when i plug it in. im very confused how thats possible but yer.
  13. Chocco you never cease to amaze me with your completely useless posts. For some reason you feel that people aren't allowed to learn about the causes and fixes for their mechanical problems. For those interested it appears some of the oil drains in the head were blocked.
  14. For some unknown reason this morning my tappet cover breather spewed oil all over my turbo/exhaust and it lit up. Chocco - DIAF
  15. Ok I found my oil smell. All it took was for my engine to catch fire
  16. Possibly allowed to drive due to exemption? On topic - there is a silver c34 that drives past work on boundary rd Richlands most days during my lunch break.
  17. Yeah I thought that, it only really happens when I brake. One day was a really bad fuel smell the next it was oil, that's what had me poking around and I can't find anything. Guessing it's just another quirk.
  18. Ok now I can smell oil through my air con, anyone ever had this, I can't find a leak but yeah kinda weird.
  19. That explains my torque steer feeling under heavy acceleration
  20. That's the vacuum valve on a neo rb25. That's what I took the line off, il trace the other line and see if it's causing a leak.
  21. Sarge. I did believe you but I didn't have a safe way to test it, that's where my wife comes in handy. There isn't any boost feed going to the ps pump, I used new vacuum line to the turbo. Yer I deleted it by accident and couldn't remember what you said.
  22. DVS can you pm me a prIce on a retune please.
  23. it will make over 20psi at 6500rpm, hard to hold it steady there without going stupidly fast. so i crept up to 6500rpm at between 15 and 20 psi then i put my foot down a bit quicker to see if it would make 25. not sure if this is a deffinative answer but makes me feel better. so new actuator and new tune and my car should be fine, hopefully the heat soak issue will be resolved with the tune. thanks everyone.
  24. Yes that's how I've always done it, it did blow my intake pipe off once, took 2 hours to get it all back on and ready to test again. My bov does have a tiny little leak on the outlet side between the bov and the pipe adapter, not a problem during running. I no longer have the pipe that goes to the intake pipe from the tappet cover, that's the pipe I put my finger in. You can see it in the photos.
  25. There is deffinately tune issues, the change over from vac to boost is rough. And heat soak make it feel very dead after a few minutes. It's not possible to create more preload on the shaft, but I could just put washers in to pull the actuator back. I don't have the password for the nistune so I can't touch it.
