Private Track Day - What Would Sau Do?
lilcrash replied to Grungle's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Fast cars are more fun then skids, skids belong in your undies. -
A friends dad had one on his supra, completely destroyed the 2jz sound and considering how much power he lost when it was closed he never closed it. Just get a jasma approved bolt on. Most sound great and are legal. I've got a hks hi power and love the sound.

LMAO. THAT HAD ME IN TEARS. Thrill thrill lmao it's a f**king v8. Be more fun on a tricycle. -
Im curious as to why you would want cup holders anyway, that's what legs are for. After driving classic toyotas for the last 8 years I haven't even considered cup holders to actually hold a drink of any kind, my cup holders in the stagea hold the bolts that don't fit anywhere/fall off and my garage door button. Not a bad example of a stagea.

SEARCH IS YOUR FRIEND. But im nice so here ya go. Clutch upgrade is the same as skyline. Recommended first mod the stock clutch has zero clamp force and won't even hold the stock power. R34 engine = type 4 nistune. People are making 300+ with stock gearbox Front and rear LSD. There is lots of rs4s owners on here.

What Have You Done To Your Stagea Lately?
lilcrash replied to Hanso's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I'm putting one in my front bar, but who honestly needs a reverse camera in a c34. Easiest car ever to park. -

Broke my back windscreen today . $680 for a new one, gets fitted Tuesday. -
That's because you have a manual car thus not lazy enough to require auto lights

My Intake Pipe Design, Stalling Issue And Lean Popping
lilcrash replied to SargeRX8's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Your intake pipe looks pretty simply made so I can't see how it can affect your idle, I've made allot worse ones in the past. Also while on the afm/metal mesh discussion, I'm pretty sure the z32 mesh does pose as a restriction/air bender as mine was flat when installed and is now very sucked in towards the turbo. -
Il have mine down the strip soon, was going to go Wednesday but I was still looking for the leak
-
Ok next strange fact, it runs and drives without the air flow meter.
-
Mayb yours if different to mine. The hole is almost against the pipe, it's drilled into the weld.

Autech Stageas With Auto Dash's
lilcrash replied to Captain Kermit's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
AFAIK Series 1 autechs are auto stageas that have been sent to autech to have the engine, gearbox, brake etc.. Changed. The build plate will also say rb25det not rb26dett -
If they are dead it could explain some of the horrible shudders and vibrations I get.

Ok I'm running out of ideas and vwwatercooled isn't being useful as none of them work on their cars. Car is a 2001 beetle, 1.8 turbo, AWU motor. Ok so I've got a really bad miss from about 3500/4000rpm. Massive backfire/flames on gear change. Sometimes it goes away, always does it if you drop a gear. New coil packs, new spark plugs, no air leaks, new blow off valve, 3" dump pipe/cat removal pipe. My only thoughts are was previously tuned for more boost, boost control removed, now floods because no boost. Colapsed rear muffler, pod filter letting in too much air or dead afm. I'm hoping someone will have a new perspective and suggest something ive over looked.

Yer I'm deffinately going to take my time, I want to tidy up my engine bay anyway. Rolls - that's a good point, I know my engine lifts atleast 35-40mm as I am slowly getting a dint in my blow off valve return pipe. It hits the strut brace.

With the number of cars they had in there its perfectly understandable that they are busy and can't get to the phone. That's why I gave up and ended up using email to organize everything. That way they can answer when they have time. I think some of you are quick to be against me in my ramblings. If you paid to have your car tuned and even after they got the tune to what they consider acceptable to be picked up by the customer, driving home you had the check engine light on countless times, black clouds out the exhaust and just general rough running. Would you be satisfied?? I understand that yes there is a problem somewhere in the pressure side of the intake, but this was there during the tune so it has been written into the tune and should run accordingly.
-
I don't point my finger at the tuner for that sole reason. But let's see I pay for them to remove my front shaft. They couldn't do it, I still had to pay. It took me 10 minutes and I don't even have a jack. It's not so much seans abilities I doubt as his commitment to do a good job. I have attempted to use 4 different tuners over the years and at the end of the day I ended up getting my wife to road tune out the problems on the way home. I will admit one of them was happy to tell me he had no idea what he was doing, he had never tuned a haltech before. And incase you only just started reading my posts. I didn't think it was an air leak before it went on the dyno. I assumed it was detonation. I have been removing parts slowly to see if any of them are the cause for my problems. The only source I have found for the strange noise is the missing dump pipe bolt that can't be installed with a jjr 3"bellmouth dump, ive jammed a bolt in the hole tempoarily, I will weld it up when I get a chance. And clearly I don't have a boost control issue when I don't have a boost control. Next point you don't ring Efi performance for anything because they lack the ability to answer the phone 95% of the time.
