  1. I'll have to look into it for you. I'd probably do it in f'glass, but I might look into carbon if that's what you're after.
  2. Basically i'm saying it's not uncommon for car with aftermarket bovs to make the fluttering sound when backing off from light throttle. This is different when it comes to the HKS SSQ bov's and the like. when driving with a heavier right foot, the fluttering noise is by design and made by the BOV (and not the turbine).
  3. if not from there then let me know and i'll look at making some up
  4. I thought that electrical boost/vaccum gauges didn't require a connection directly to a vaccum line (ie - from the vaccum lines in the engine bay  ) They get their signal from a factory fitted or aftermarket sensor which sends the signal electronically - hence 'electronic' boost gauge vs mechanical?
  5. if it's got a tube to attach a hose then it's mechanical.
  6. The Timex gauges don't have memory features. My oil temp guage needed 12V constant from memory and I still have no idea why it needs it? My best guess says it's this one:
  7. haha yeah he goes on to say "...great if you're a gaming revhead, but the sheer pace - and subsequent difficulty tto drive - can put off non-racing enthusiasts. Worth a try, but go easy on the accelerator". heh this last comment is something I learnt the hard way
  8. zip ties and as for the wiring, don't quote me but i *think* that: red = +12V constant black = GND yellow = +12V Accessories but this could be worng. i have a timex oil temp and the yellow wire for that is the sensor wire from memory  but i'm assumiong that it's a mechanical boost guage?
  9. Aftermarket BOV's have a higher spring rate than factory bov's. So where the factory bov will open up when releasing light throttle, the aftermarket one does not. Please correct me if i'm wrong. when there is no bov this causes a build-up of pressure in the intake piping, slowing the compressor wheel - and hence the flutter. I think the same principle applies to aftermarket BOV's which don't open under light load, but obviously you don't have as much of a pressure build up as you would jumping off the gas from WOT. There are a few war-threads where everyone has thrown their 2c in about BOVs which might be worth a read such as this.
  10. hey buddy, i've sent you a couple of emails and haven't had a reply. Do you still have these for sale? Michael
  11. Extract from GTR review in MX magazine(the crappy free train newspaper): "In terms of physics, this game is almost on par with Gran Turismo." lol
  12. I have no idea what the fan looks like on the pass side, but i'll try and get some pics of the vent motor for you
  13. I think so, I have nismo copy skirts on my gtst and they fit OK. As i understand it, they are meant for a GTR but they still fit fairly well
  14. *don't* use a torch
  15. if it's the motor that drives the vent control (ie floor | floor+vents | demist)) you can replace that without taking the dash out. Not too difficult to do,just awkward. As for the noise on the passenger side, could it be the nearings in that fan worn out? I think that's (ie - the passenger footwell) where the air is sucked in from when you put the A/C on recirc.
  16. have you calibrated it? once calibrated it's fine if it reads zero. You can go into the sensor check menu and confirm that the SAFC is getting the signal
  17. Get your suspension settings right Some have the opinion that the TEINS have spring that are too hard, but if you have a read in the suspension and braking forums, you might pick up a few good ideas
  18. If you don't have the harness, page 4 of this PDF may help with which wires need to be spliced. It's the install manual for the FATT timer in english, but the ignition wiring used should be the same for most turbo timers.
  19. nice... well one day i'll decide to buy a decent PC and by then GTR will be $5 at target in the bargain bin
  20. Gentlemen.....Start your engines Time to go and make that sim c0ckpit and yes if I had a PC that would run GTR properly, i'd be jumping on the bandwagon too
  21. damn how bad was the one with the reporter?
