  9. We lost a turbo in the CA a few months back, and there was a coating of oil through most of the piping, cooler, and plenum. The oil seal on the compressor side went, and we also had traces of oil in the snout of the turbo. there was a little oil in the elbow, but nothing like what I found in the plenum & cooler where the air would have been slowed down. Hope it helps...
  10. how much is was it to trim your steering wheel ant?
  11. Happy Birthday Chief
  12. From memory the plugs on the loom fopr the safc are physically different (the SAFC2 is wider) so if upgrading you will need to install it properly. The SAFC2 only uses 1 wire for knock, the ECU's on RB's use 2 knock sensors hence 2 wires. IMO it's already got an safc1 no point wasting the money an an safc 2 unless you REALLY want to see the knock reading (like me ) as for accuracy, it varies from car to car because the baseline reading that you set in it (when you first calibrate them) would be different depending on the health of the engine.

  19. hahaha i agree...I've got a million and one commonwhore driver stories most of which are lost in the part of my brain that stores spam, but one from a couple of days ago: i was pulling out of super-cheap (i'm in melbourne) behind a POS dunny-door (something pre VL and rusted out) and the half-witted fool decided to pull a nice big open wheeled skid while turning right before coming up to the lights to exit the carpark onto the main road. I pulled in behind them at the lights and him and his d**khead friends were turned around or looking in mirrors at my car (of course the driver had his hard-arse knock-off oakleighs on)...then when the light went green and i'd waited 8-10seconds (a long time when you're waiting for the dickhead in front of you to get moving) before giving the horn a *quick* and friendly toot - the f**ker gives me the finger.
  20. O2 sensors only work once they have warmed up. AFAIK the ECU's always using the readings from the O2 sensor. you said that you couldn't hook up consult? is that because you don't have a dongle? or by some freakish instance don't you have a port in your fusebox? consult should give you the answers to your problems. Cheers...
