  1. Did you recently buy the brakes or get them painted? Want!
  2. I had Andrew from AM Performance do the cat back on my 370GT Sedan. In hindsight, I think it's probably better to buy one from a company that has done a load of R&D to perfect their product but Andrew does top notch work and I'm happy to support local business when they're great people. I'm also happy with what he produced However with the aussie dollar being so piss poor at the moment, I'm not sure buying from overseas is a great idea right now.... One advantage of getting a custom exhaust made is you can always go back to the shop to get it tweaked if you're not happy. Just try to be as specific as possible when you tell them what you want otherwise you'll end up paying even more.
  3. Was going to pull the trigger on ordering some Velgen wheels from the US but I had some unexpected bills pop up so they're going to have to wait For the VMB5, I was quoted $1600USD for 19" and $1800USD for 20". Original quote for shipping was $450USD (ouch) Optimal sedan fitment was 9" +35 front and 10.5" +45 rear They seem to be keen to expand their brand into Australia so I was offered discounted shipping to help make the sale. If you contact Jorge at Velgen he might be able to offer the same (PM for his details). I'd suggest a group buy but import taxes would kill any benefit of splitting shipping costs
  4. The Festival of Speed was fkn amazing. If you're ever in the UK when it's on do whatever you have to to get there
  5. Haha Andrew. That's why I like them... Less unwanted attention Would prefer a coupe but I like flying under the radar
  6. Was that a coupe only thing? Never seen a Sedan Type P with paddles.
  7. Sweeet Love the coupes. Wish i'd got one instead lol You sure it's not an SP? Thought the Type-P didn't come with paddles, or the 19" wheels...
  8. here's a crappy photo... i'll get another later
  9. Car looks great Hah, you have the same wind deflectors I had. Recently took them off and plastidipped the chrome trim. Liking the look. You will soon learn to hate black... don't think I'll get another black car again.. its always dirty
  10. damn you and your steering wheel that ISNT peeling
  11. Damn that sucks. The main thing is you walked away Luckily I haven't had any dramas like that in my little MR2; just a few spins on turn 1 getting a bit over enthusiastic haha What sort of times were you putting down in the Soarer?
  12. Dude... that Soarer O_o. Didn't think it was possible to get that much damage at Mallala; there isn't that much to hit LOL What happened? Grats on the V35; looks great Good to see another Adelaidian!
  13. cleeeean.. looks like liquid. love it
  14. Took some piccies down at Port Adelaide the other day... thought I'd share
  15. Look great! Love the V36's in silver; they look so good!
  16. I think my initial impressions were a bit of a placebo effect; it's really not that much different to before the service. However... I took the car for a quick sprint through the hills on the way home from work tonight. wow The difference is night and day. It's like a different car! Under hard acceleration it shifts so quick now! I was feeling disheartened with this car since I imported it with such lazy gear changes and was considering selling it for a manual coupe but I'm so happy now; the shifts are so good It's almost like before I was driving the car around with a slipping transmission or something. Even general in-gear acceleration feels much stronger... it actually feels like a 240kw car which it just didn't before.
  17. I'm taking my car to Elite Finish for a detail. From what I've seen and been told by friends who've used his services, his work is top notch but I'll give you a first hand opinion after he's worked on my car.
  18. I figured with the price of the fluid, and then labour it seemed fair enough. Far better than me trying to do it If you are curious, I'm sure Michael would be happy to go over what's involved; he's very helpful
